To be honest the moment a sequel trilogy was going to be made the old eu canon was going to be removed. George lycas himself never saw it as canon and at best just used a few ideas from the eu or give a little import like the history of the sith with darth bane or palpatine's sith master. Heck his ideas were etheir going to be about the Willis or darth maul and darth talon with having a underground criminal empire. So no thawn or yu zang vong. Plus I doubt genreal audience was to read about 20 to 30 decades of spin of novels, comics and games to understand a sequel trilogy from the eu timeline, they will have so many questions like chewbacca dead, along with why their is a galactic federation instead of a new Republic

They wanted a sequel, they wanted the huge international fanbase that Naruto was famed for, and they were told Hinata was the desired love interest for Naruto by a majority of the fan base; of course push along by her fanatics in the anime staff. SS happening was to put away the spare and make a love interest for the sequel's main character. On paper, there should have been no problem.

 

However. The fanbase that supported Hinata being the love interest was overblown. They destroyed the original story to make it happen. They new main character is unlikable. They added problems to the ending pairings when their supporters desired them to be perfect and flawless fantasy relationships. Also they person they put in charge of the sequel made a poorly drawn, drawn out, and uninteresting story that disinterested most people.

studio pierrot didn't help. there was even an omake about how they loved hinata and also notes by the studio for an episode with neji where they claim neji was a pervert who was stealing hinata from naruto. not to mention a whole movie about nh written by a writer who probably knew nothing about naruto since she normally wrote live action romance stories

it's like saying "kakashi and rin would have happened". why even ask for that? if not for obito kakashi would have let rin die... 
kishimoto and his brother were probably close so he wanted to keep the team the way it was in the story. even in dragon quest/hunterxhunter/o-parts hunter they all have a character kind of like sasuke

From looking at your other posts you clearly have a bias for sasusaku.

I don't agree ss was strong in part 1... Yes sasuke saved sakura in the forest but he later told sakura it was actually naruto who saved her from gaara and he didn't care when sakura kept trying to win his affection... This all is referenced from dragon quest and that series didn't promote the ss parallel 😅kishimoto even in interviews laments ss despite making it canon. From my pov it's clear he didn't fancy ss as much as the fans he simply made them canon to please ss fans. There's just no evidence of sasuke loving her he keeps calling her annoying he cares for her as a friend or family member because he never had family

this studio will not be getting any sympathy from me ... boruto and the last were imo just really bad. orochimaru dancing around on naruto's wedding was total nonsense

Kishi has a sakura keychain at his desk and spent a hour or more trying to make sakura look prettier i don't think she's in the story for no reason. Him and/or his team were probably going for something similar to what dragon quest did. Another person in the forum also pointed out how sakura and poala also have similarity and an identical timeskip and beet the vandal buster was done by the same writer/illustrator as adventure of dai. Heck the fact other series have copied ns proves there actually was something there

Honestly, I don't know how you guys can keep going. It's been nearly 10 years... a decade. Right on guys 
 
Are we all ready for the 10th year anniversary of our ship's death Naruto ending? Are we going to get another interview? If so do you all think we going to get the "real" answer from Kishi's mouth now that Boruto manga has been developed to the point that the old pairing war will no longer harm the current serialized manga?

Hmm considering all the evidence pointing to ns being what was supposed to be endgame and all the ns references kishi put in the Minato one shot and the quality of the art it goes to show that kishi made a mistake. Even his wife apparently doesnt buy nh. Do i want a interview? Yeah but even without one it's clear. I'm a naruto fan not a fan of boruto and if the people who made naruto are not happy why should i be? Same goes for how i feel about star wars right now
