In my opinion, I just ignore everything after the Naruto/Sasuke fight and Im absolutely loving the Naruto alternate the last doujinshi thats being posted. It looks legit, is true to the characters and tbh is just as canon as the boruto stuff because Kishimoto isnt even the one making it... so yeah. Naruto has amazing moments and wonderful music. Its hurtful how it ended but I think if we can separate the hurt from the good moments we can heal better. Just my opinion :)

About Me
Hey! I'm Lindsay, an avid NaruSaku shipper and college music major! I LOVE music, and am studying composition and piano in college :) My favorite form of music to write is symphonic, but I try to branch out and try other stuff. That's also my favorite form of music
I also love to write, and to me, character is the most important thing. I love creating realistic characters using the enneagram (if you don't know it, look it up! It's the best personality typing system ever) and characterizing them through their dialogue. Characters are something I jut LOVE about Naruto.
I also like analyzing stories, which is why I love writing/reading NaruSaku proof essays so much. Hah. I like to stand up for my opinions, but I DON'T like it when people disagree and argue with me, because it stresses me out :'( I like my life peaceful and conflict-free!
I have a problem with shipping non-canon ships, apparently. Which really sucks. Even so, I will continue ship them forever, and in the case of NaruSaku, I will continue to ship it even harder, forever and eva!
And I like DeiSaku.
So yup, that's me. See ya!

Hey fam. I used to be super active on here and Naruto finished... and yeah, we all know what happened. Anyway, I have a question. Who's actually writing the Boruto series? Is it Kishimoto, or is someone else and he's just "okaying" the stuff being published? Hurts my heart how awful everything is because looking back on what Naruto once was, it was AMAZING and I still have such attachment to Naruto and Sakura and all those characters. I never cared for Sasuke though, and never will... Anyway, who's writing the Boruto series? And if it isn't Kishimoto, then honestly our NaruSaku fanon stuff is JUST as canon.

Anyway, I just watched this movie yesterday and my review is this: dead. I am DEAD. Chris Pratt was SO frickin hot I could barely stand it! I had the luxury of watching it with my best friend in a theater with only two other people so we were fangirling the entire time, haha. In my personal opinion, I like it better than Jurassic Park because the characters (particularly one by the name of Owen Grady) are a lot more interesting to me. I also LOVED the dynamic with the velociraptors. I just can't get over how awesome it was for Owen to be their alpha, and I loved what happened with cute Blue at the end. I thought it was a good, satisfying twist (though we were all expecting it). In the words of that kid, "Your boyfriend's a badass."
A lot of people give Claire a lot of crap, but tbh she didn't bother me after she got over herself at the beginning and started listening. After the part where she saved Owen and he kissed her (maybe it was cheesy but MAN it was hot ) she was much better. Honestly I thought she was a great strong woman. For over seven years she's been in charge of the park, running it all the time, keeping security breaches, and instead of hiding in safety like others might have, she went out there to go rescue her nephews in spite of not interacting much with the dinosaurs. Also, she was totally boss when she went and released Rexy from her cage. She was a brave, great character in my opinion. She grew on me after being mostly positive-leaning ambivalent during the film.
oh, and did I mention Chris Pratt? He hit a home run with that role! I LOVED the parts when he was all commanding and strict with the raptors. I just thought he was all around awesome. A manly man who isn't a douchebag and who you can trust to be brave and handle hard situations well? Sign me up!!

As for abortions, one of the issues that obviously arises is that if a woman wanted an abortion but couldn't get one, she probably won't raise the kid in the best home. While that's a valid argument, I still think that a person deserves the right to live. No one would consider killing a homeless person because they don't have good living standards. So first of all, that's not a valid argument because right to life trumps anything else. Second, I think that along with not allowing abortions, we should help take care of children born into not good homes, particularly helping place children who are out up for adoption. Also, hopefully if abortions weren't an out, people as a whole would be more responsible. I'm not saying we should eliminate abortions AND contraceptives, just that I 100% believe that ending the life of a fetus with a beating heart is murder. Honestly, I would be okay with defining that as when ACTUAL human life starts. There is a time when the baby is literally a clump of cells, but when the heart starts beating, it's alive and has organ and killing it is murder.

This series meant something to a lot of people in a lot of different ways. For some, like myself, the ending butchered everything about the series that we had grown to actually love, and the past became indistinguishable from the present. Naruto and Sakura were two of my favorite characters, and now I utterly despise them both. It's not just the story, it's the author, the studio, the messages, and the fandom. The entirety of Naruto is now representative of a massive insult, I will never look at this series the same. I've said a few times, the only reason I'm here is because of the people on this site. If I didn't like the people here, I might not have been here after the ending. I find that now, the majority of my time spent on this site is spent in threads about other series, and that I'm less involved in threads revolving around this series, such as this one.
Love supernatural, btw.
Don't hate Naruto or Sakura. I am 100% convinced that the people in Naruto Gaiden aren't them at all. It doesn't make sense within their characters and he direction their arc was pointing. To me, Naruto and Sakura aren't at fault, it's the people who handled them. Kishimoto FORCED Naruto to do what he wouldn't do. It's essentially a bad fanfic with OOC characters. Just because the canon author wrote it doesn't make it right.
That's how I see it. I still love Naruto and Sakura because I'm able to separate the false characters from the true ones.

#793856 Will you give up Shipping after Naruto ending?
Posted by Win-chan on 03 April 2015 - 05:28 AM
I'm kind of turned off from shipping as a whole. I think it really has the potential to ruin entire stories. I hate that people make such a big deal out of shipping wars and ship all sorts of random crap and make up all sorts of excuses, mutilating character's personalities, all for the sake of forcing a "ship" on people. It causes such hatred and polarization among fandoms, and has the potential to completely ruin a story's experience for people.
I honestly loved Naruto, and not JUST for NaruSaku. However, when NaruHina happened instead, the entire manga was ruined for me. I hate that shipping has the ability to do that. The problem is, you don't have control over what you ship. I guess I just don't like the shipping culture that has evolved online. But, what're ya gonna do?

#761516 Shinachiku Uzumaki
Posted by Win-chan on 19 February 2015 - 04:33 AM
So honestly, I kinda disagree with most of what has been said here. I agree that Shinachiku didn't explicitly have any flaws before but that's because we hadn't delved into them. However, implicit in the personality which he was given (sweet, loving, gentle, fun, personable) there are plenty of flaws given. You can't just assign flaws randomly and then say "Oh well he's now a flawed character. Woo hoo!" NO. It has to make sense within the rest of the character we've already created. And honestly, I don't see Shinachiku as a cocky kid, from the info that we already have on him. This is how I see him.
I see Shinachiku as a person who, more than anything, just wants to love people and to be loved by people. The sad thing is, Shinachiku has grown up with this tainted idea that in order for people to love him, he needs to be a particular way, or behave in a certain way. That's why he was such a good child growing up, and why he idolized his parents so much. He thought that if he was good and if he showed that he thought that they were amazing, that he would be able to "win" their love, even though they love him unconditionally. So, first and foremost of "un-Gary Stew-ing" him: recognize that his close relationship with his parents is slightly superficial. They DO get along, but for Shinachiku, so much of it is almost an act to be this perfect child so that he can be worthy of their love. I could just imagine some kind of scene where he fails on a mission, or he messes something big up, and he wouldn't want to face his parents, and we he finally does he would be convinced that they wouldn't love him anymore. It could be this really sweet moment when he would say something like, "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I messed up. It's okay, you don't have to love me anymore" or something, then Sakura would hit him and then hug him and Naruto would hug both of them and they would tell Shinachiku that there is nothing he could POSSIBLY do that would make them stop loving him.
Now, let's look at how he views his parents love for him: he thinks that because he "hero worships" them and is obedient and good and helpful, his parents love him in return. Well, logically, that would extend to how he sees other people loving him. Remember, his core desire is to love and to be loved. So, if he secures love by being helpful, how does he judge if other people love him back? By behaving the same way he does when he shows his parents he loves them. In other words, he thinks that if anybody truly cares about him, then they're going to want to help him and go out of their way to do things for him. Think of if this way: there are some friends who find out that you're sick and go to the store and by you a bunch of sick things, bring a movie, drop by your house, and start taking care of you. Then there are the friends who call you, ask if you're okay, wish you well, and then the next time they see you, congratulate you on getting better and go out to lunch with you, and you talk about all sorts of personal, important things and plan a hang out session and it's wonderful. Let's be honest. Most of us aren't the first way, because we don't think to be that helpful. Most of us are the second way. The thing with Shinachiku is, that since he would act in the first way, he expects other people who love him to show him love in the same way, and so if someone doesn't live up to that standard, then he thinks that they don't care, even though they might. That right there is a serious possibility for some kind of relationship tension.
Now, jumping off of that thought, I dive into another flaw: Shinachiku wants to only think good thoughts about people and to love them, so when he has a friend who doesn't do exactly what he would expect someone who loves him to do, inwardly he would start to have some negative feelings towards said person, but in his conscious mind, since he tries to only be a positive person, he wouldn't acknowledge these thoughts. Therefore, he's self-deceitful about his own feelings and intentions. He makes himself believe that he only thinks good things about people, in essence successfully suppressing all hostility he feels towards people, and about himself, as well. Honestly, he's a very sensitive kid who lets small things get to him. A negative comment here or there can get inside his head and fester for a while, really depleting his self-confidence, even though on the outside he pretends like he's happy-go-lucky, high self-esteem Shinachiku. In all actuality, he doesn't have a very honest view of himself, especially as he gets older. How he likes to see himself is a person of completely good intentions, who genuinely cares about people, but sometimes, on especially bad days, it kinda feels like he's only doing things for people with the intended result of being loved. So, sometimes he does things for people not even because he cares about them but because he wants to act in a way which then makes them love him.
In short?
He's an empathetic, compassionate, outgoing, caring kid who is giving, thoughtful and encouraging. However, he can also engage in people-pleasing to get closer to others, he can be judgy of people who aren't loving and giving in the same way he is, he's a little harsh on himself, he doesn't have that high of self-esteem, even though on the outside he seems completely unaffected by all this. He's no emotionally honest with himself, even though he does feel things quite forcefully. And that's the Shinachiku I see, the Shinachiku that is in the drawings and the Shinachiku who we had short descriptions of.

No, I agree with them up there. There's a difference between logically putting a pairing down and in its place, and flat-out being rude and bashing. I LOVE NaruSaku and will go down with my ship, but we aren't going to be left peacefully alone to enjoy our fanon if we produce stuff like this. First of all, it's just as OOC for Naruto to be punching Hinata like that as it is for him to marry her. Second of all, just like it isn't Naruto's fault that he got screwed over in the end but Kishi's fault instead, it isn't Hinata's fault that her character ALSO got screwed over and turned into a one-woman force of destruction, intent to destroy all credibility and closure to the manga. All of the OOCness and poor character handling is Kishimoto's fault. The Hinata he made was nice and sweet and really shouldn't be treated as such. Third, like BakeNeko-chan said, images like this really portray the NaruSaku fandom as immature and spiteful. The only place a picture like this has is to be silently tucked away in your phone so you can look at it and chuckle or show it to your friends or whatever. But on the internet, anyone can find anything, and this is just flat-out offensive, to both NaruHina AND NaruSaku fans. I'm sorry. If you want to post something to boost NaruSaku, post NaruSaku pictures. Stuff like this just gives us a bad image.

#702350 What's wrong with Naruto and Bolt?
Posted by Win-chan on 12 December 2014 - 07:05 PM
I love everything you said here, Tricksie, and I've been thinking the exact same thing since I first saw those panels. It's absolutely ridiculous. Bolt's behavior mimicking Naruto's as a child not only shows that Naruto and Hinata are apparently such horrid parents that their young kid is acting exactly how Naruto acted when he was hated by everybody, but also that Kishimoto completely ditched one of the huge themes throughout the manga: that of the new generation surpassing the old. Bolt is acting exactly like Naruto did when he was an annoying brat that everyone (and much of the audience, myself included) hated. Seeing the way it's going, I can bet that Bolt doesn't do very well in school. I doubt he's very smart or strong. And I bet that Naruto will probably be disappointed in Bolt because he's not living up to his name as a descendant of Naruto and Minato. In addition to that, instead of having Naruto be able to have a successful and happy family whereas when he was a child and had no one, Kishi makes him a negligent father. It's just ridiculous.
#694631 NaruSaku: Red herring or Canon?
Posted by Win-chan on 08 December 2014 - 04:16 AM
Either Kishimoto is lying or he's a complete idiot. But what can be drawn from this, either way, is that Kishimoto ACKNOWLEDGED that there was a lot of NaruSaku development, and therefore inadvertently validated our ship. IF he developed NaruSaku simply for a red herring device, then there are not words in the English language to describe how incredibly STUPID and messed up that is. It's gotten to the point where I'm literally looking up 'stupid' in the thesaurus to figure out if there's a better word to describe this situation, and none of them even come CLOSE to encompassing the breadth of the concept that I wish I could describe to you. Want to know some of the problems with him developing NaruSaku as a red herring?
1) As stated above, it's just MESSED UP, and if there's ONE group of people you should not treat like that, it's your fans who give you your MONEY and trust you to treat your characters well!
2) One of Naruto's defining characteristics (his love for Sakura), which has been there for FIFTEEN FRICKIN YEARS, is apparently irrelevant, and supposedly has been irrelevant from the very beginning of the story.
3) That's NOT the kind of thing you do to 'mislead.' You do NOT mess with people and their ships! You can have a plot twist and make someone evil, you can kill someone, you can make something not what it seems, but you do NOT put in tons of romantic development to mislead an entire fandom. Wanna know why? You do that, and you get this - a huge fandom that hates you. If you weren't gonna make NaruSaku happen, then don't hint at it, and we wouldn't hate you right now. And now, my biggest problem:
4) He didn't develop NaruHina at ALL, so we had no reason to think that NaruSaku was a mislead in the first place because there was nothing that it was misleading FROM!
That last point, man, it's just what pisses me off the most. So he spends all this time developing NaruSaku to 'mislead us' so that NaruHina will come as 'surprise' at the end because 'twists make good story.' Um, no. Relationships DEVELOP. You can't just twist some crap relationship into reality because you want to surprise people. It needs development or else it's unrealistic. I just feel like everybody was shafted. Us as NaruSaku were shafted because all of or development was invalidated, and NaruHina fans were shafter because none of the moments that build their relationship even makes sense. They needed a MOVIE to develop their relationship, and in that movie they invent fake flashbacks (which, by the way, contradict the canon manga storyline) to develop their relationship further. Um, excuse me, but if they had some kind of relationship as kids, then why did Naruto never make ONE mention of it during 700 chapters? Oh, that's right, because that backstory didn't exist back then, because NaruHina either wasn't planned, or wasn't developed. It sucks for NaruHina fans because honestly, all of the development of their ship never existed within the story. So, that's what makes me the most angry about this. NaruSaku was a mislead from NaruHina, but NaruHina only exists outside of the story, so in all honesty, NaruSaku wasn't a mislead. It was developed just so that in the end, nothing would come of it, because Kishi's a jackass.
