In Topic: The Great NaruSaku Debate Thread!

Wow, I’ve read some very powerful narusaku arguments. I really enjoyed it. I’m not a hardcore fan, but I do love narusaku as a pair. I respect naruhina and sasusaku, fans being fans. I say let them be. As long they buy original, I count them friends. ^^. It’s just in all the years of Naruto series, its tough imagining other than narusaku. Let me put my thoughts in simple laymen terms.

-narusaku = yellow and pink = sunflower and cherry blossoms = beautiful field of flowers.

-narusaku = cerulean blue and emerald green – a peaceful teal

-narusaku= sunny and cute = laugh and joy = fun and games

-narusaku = dattebayo and shannaroo = a chuckle.

-narusaku = the faith and the understanding = a nice sigh.

-narusaku = a pervert and pervert hater = perfect opposite = hot moments

-narusaku = have experienced and known love = a time bomb…so close…so close

It’s just what I feel ya know. Can’t really explained it. laugh.gif

In Topic: Turning point for NaruSaku

Hmm, well, for me it would be when Naruto gave his promise of a lifetime to Sakura during mission Sasuke Retrieval, chapter 183: Promise of a lifetime. Before, I liked the pair, but not really a fan, coz they were just 13 year olds. Kids do kids stuff. After that scene, you could feel the hurt you know, I just wish maybe someday Naruto get what he deserved. I became a narusaku fan then. Naruto, he’s the type that stays his course you know. Once he said he will be a Hokage, he will. Once he said he will master Rasengan and Rasen-shuriken, he will (and did). Once he said he will bring his friend back, he will try again and again for a lifetime. And once he said Sakura is his dream girl, she will always be. If he changed, he took his words back, and that is not Naruto. smile.gif

Oh my, the Narusaku thread. Well, just to add a few brief thoughts since I’m a newbie here. Cliché things I’m sure. Like most here, I’ve read a lot of manga. When I began reading Naruto and the anime about a few years ago, I honestly thought Naruhina is a high probability, because Japanese manga tends to fulfil the fairer sex wishes and crushes. Yet as time passes by, I realized who the heroine was, the female protagonist, and the support character with the most airtime, drawn manga pages, emotional moments, and most importantly, character development. Only the character of Sakura and Sasuke rivalled Naruto in that term. I found it hard to relate another pairing when you see the anime and manga as a whole. A deviation from that, say, Naruhina, will kill the numerous moments within the anime series. They became redundant, like, if Sakura truly felt nothing for Naruto, what’s the use of crying when she found out about Naruto’s imminent death should Kyuubi extracted from him, or when Naruto went on a rampage going against Orochimaru, and numerous others that I won’t mention here. As for Sasusaku, that was even harder to accept because it was built on very brief interaction between the said characters. Too vague and undeveloped in both manga and anime. Remember, Naruto is a maturing type of story, and each character changed over the years, as Sakura herself has admitted to Iruka. In my personal opinion, I think Narusaku has a high probability to happen. A pairing should happen soon or it might (I think) be detrimental for the series. The characters have reached that age you know. A game of tug and pull if left too long can be stale and damaging to the character, not to mention boring. It might be too late already, considering the fanatical followers of each pairing. Should a winner emerged, Naruto could possibly lose legions of fans. The worst, Kishimoto might keep the fine balance till kingdom come. I know I have no interest in Sasuke in love. He’s perfect for a bad guy. And a bad guy, if he is not hated because of his evil deeds, he failed in his character. He loses his cool if he has romantic notions. Heh heh heh. Just a fan thought.

All I have to say to you is AWESOME POST man everything you said it's true. You really know how to analyze well great work man I completely agree with you. a_thumbs.gif
A nice insight you have there. I totally agree. I just want to add a few things. To Kishimoto’s credit, here we can see another big step in Naruto’s maturity and his development. One might sighs at his persistence in pursuing Sasuke (frankly sometimes I think he’s overdoing it), almost an obsession in fact. But more than a friend, Sasuke represents the very idea of his struggle because he sees himself in Sasuke. If he could be free of his hatred, so will his friend. He withheld his judgement despite everything (all their friends have given up, including Sakura and Kakashi, from the way they acted) and went to see for himself. Though Sasuke might never return, he placed himself in his way so Sasuke will always know he has a place to return to, or a foe that he has to vanquish. Either is fine with Naruto. We will see more of that I am sure. But the side plots should also be taken account, as they add spice of the situation. As Team 7 gathered, each has to deal with Sasuke in their minds. Will Kakashi be willing to take Sasuke’s life to atone for his mistake as he puts it, and carry the burden of a sensei on his shoulder just like Sandaime felt for Orochimaru? Jiraiya for Pain? Or will he trust everything to Naruto to make matters right? Or how will Sakura resolved her feelings, knowing she doesn’t have the will to hurt Sasuke? Who will she cry for? Was her confession just a lie? Or will she save them both as she has vowed three years ago? And what of Sasuke himself? Will Karin truly abandon Sasuke, or can Naruto be a better persuader than the legendary Madara? Can endearing bonds of friendship heal the pain of losing one’s whole family right in front of your eyes? Which stood closest to him? Personally, I think Sasuke had passed the point of no return by killing Danzo, who despite his Machiavellian approach, was a legally selected Hokage. It might be a bad hindsight should he went scott free from that act. The chain of hatred, just added another link. Will the politics of Narutoworld favours Naruto’s belief? And remember, the truth is still blurry, even Naruto is still guarded with everything Madara had said to him. Despite the holistic sense of the chapter, more questions emerged. Oh the plot thickens. smile.gif
