I personally find it hard to believe that rude glares from the villagers were all that Naruto had to deal with while growing up. But I also believe that any other actions taken towards him, especially violent ones, were stopped quickly, as I highly doubt the Sandaime would have just stood by and watched.

What irks me is in some fics, Naruto is beaten almost daily, treated and screamed at with names such as demon in public, etc, and the Sandaime does nothing but feel bad for Naruto. I mean cmon, he's the hokage! Of all people, he should have the power to easily put a stop to any actions like that towards Naruto. Those actions right there are pretty much violations of his law, anyways.

My other pet peeve is fics where Sakura and Naruto are together, either dating or married, and Sasuke comes walking into town and she immediately runs to him and sleeps with him, etc. And then she realizes she wants to be with Naruto only, and goes back to him without any consequences. It's in my opinion that Sakura wouldn't be the type to do something such as that.
