so did anyone notice that tsunade told naruto "we're on the verge of war!"? that clearly contradicts the manga, in which everyone went to great lengths to keep naruto in the dark about the war

NaruSaku on the other hand is not entirely developed yet, it's close but it isn't there yet. And the story seems to develop entirely around the bond of Naruto and Sasuke (in a rough way).
Also I don't think Kishi is going to emphasise to much, for the pairing wars and all that stuff...

true. but as far as "saving" sasuke goes, i hope that at most he only turns back to the light for a brief moment before he dies. cause if he doesn't die, then a lot of fans are going to be pissed
