Hey. I posted a new chapter 9 of Happy Ending on Fanfiction.net. I haven't gotten around to posting it here yet. I'd say more, but I'm tired.

Nah, my uncle's the one who got arrested. The problem is that we have to take care of his two year old daughter for a little while.

Thanks for the reviews though. I really appreciate it. I haven't started the next chapter yet. Whether or not I can complete it will determine if I discontinue it.

Well, I just posted what my just be the last chapter of Happy Ending. Both in Fanfiction.net and here. I'd stay longer but things have gotten to be kind of hectic here in the last few hours... something involving a seperation, a fist fight and jail time. I'll probably make a longer post within a few days.

I bet some of you are wondering what's taking so long huh?

The truth is I don't know if I'll be able to continue this fic. Not because I'm unsatisfied with the fanfic itself, but because I'm unsatisfied with the manga... more specifically Part 2. Actually, I'm even more unsatisfied with the anime and it's mountain of crap.

My original plan was to implement as many of the revelations included in Part 2 in my own fic (at least, those that wouldn't contradict what had been said beforehand). Now, if I do continue this story, chances are that it'll deviate completely from Kishimoto's own "work".

Unfortunately, it seems that the manga's path had far-reaching effects. I used to think that my lack of advancement in the story was due to a writer's block. I now know better.

The reason why I am unable to write anything is simply because I do not like Naruto anymore. I used to... I know I did... but I am no longer able to say that this is one of my favorite series.

Quitting is not something I want to do, so I'm going to try something. I'm currently in the process of writing a story that will star the characters of the manga, but will not take place in their universe. In other words, it will be a complete AU. If you decide to read it, I must warn you that the characters will be OOC, because they must be. Without the circumstances that made them who they were, I can't rightfully use their personalities. While some characters will retain a portion of their base disposition, others will be entirely different.

I'm doing this in the hopes that I'll be able to hold on to at least part of the feelings I had for this series... if I succeed then you'll see an update in Happy Ending within a month or two. If not... I'll probably delete it.

In Topic: SasuSaku dying?

SasuSaku... I've always seen it as something that was undead. So even if Kishimoto ends up pairing Naruto and Sakura, they'll still be here. The only thing that'll really change is that they'll lose their ***MY PAIRING IS CANON!!!11!!1!!!!*** argument.

I mean really, if you have to constantly rationalize the character's actions, then there's a good chance the pairing is dead. A true canon pairing is one that relies on fact, not on hypothesis.

NaruSaku? Canon or near it. You can't get any more obvious than this.

SasuSaku? At this point it's almost entirely fanon. When the series began there was a chance, however small, that it would happen. Now? Not unless Kishimoto pulls a rabbit out of his ass, and that would kill my love for this series.

NaruSasu? So far from canon it isn't even in the same lexicon. I hesitate to call it fanon because the fans are entirely divided when it comes to this.
