I thought episodes in an arc were supposed to get progressively more exciting but this arc seems to have it all backward. It's a damn good thing the manga is in the middle of an exciting fight.

Dattebyo must have known this was coming so they made up some BS about people having to pay to see the new episodes by "official" translators in order to get out of watching this arc!

Yeah, this episode was pretty boring. Plus some of the animation was way off, especially the scene with Naruto and the toads. And it seem that there is some good in Guren despite that she wants to be in part Orochimaru's reincarnation.

And Kiba is still clueless about Akumaru's growth. Must be all of that love and affection grow into the dog.

What a surprise... Team 8 + Kakashi still looking for Orochimaru's hideout, Naruto still in the middle of pointless training, and Orochimaru and his lackeys still doing who-knows-what. Judging by the preview, next ep looks to be a little better since Naruto's team is gonna start doing something. Or that could end up making things even slower...

I'm not usually one to comment about the animation quality...but this week was just bad. I especially agree with what Derock said - WTH was up with the scene between Naruto and the toads?

Anyway, I thought the best part about the whole episode (besides the fact that we're one step closer to the canon arcs) was the omake on Kiba and Akamaru. Especially the part where he mentioned his confusion of going unconscious whenever Akamaru tried to sit on his head. I thought that was funny .

*On a side note - I'm a rookie now . Now off to those exciting D ranks!

Omake aside, this episode nearly put me to sleep, like everyone else I don't want to question that scene with the toads, did they spent their budget on last weeks episode or something?

Has anyone noticed that they are getting worse with each new episode?? At first i was like "Don't worry, it will get better eventually" but now, the lack of interesting growth to the story is just getting sad....

Bahaha. I've given up on the anime. I find that pre-Shippuden episodes were even better than this. (I just rewatched the old ones on my burnt DVDs.)

Did you seriously watch the old ones? Are you mental? Those were the worse of the filler episodes, you could have killed yourself from the lack of entertainment man. You shouldn't be so suicidal.

I prefer suicide over murder by Shippuden filler.

The last few have definitely been stagnant at best. It's funny, during that last filler arc with Sora, I kept telling myself it will get better and we all know how it turned out at the end . Being the sucker that I am, I'm still holding on to the hope that this arc improves. It being loosely inspired by canon events, there is potential for it to be decent.

I think those of us that keep up with the manga can be especially hard on fillers. It's surprising how many commented that they liked this episode on the streaming site that I visit. At the very least, it's easier for those that do not read the manga to not get as frustrated with filler episodes.

The only interesting thing in this arc is where Sasuke kills orochimaru. Other than that, the rest will be filler apone filler and wont get any better. Only thing that can make it better now is if Naruto finally finds a toad other than the Bi-toad that can perform water pistol, or ending up using Gamma and make the most epic, deadly chakra water pistol.

Wow... That made no sense. I only watched because I heard that there is a dance in the ED.....

AND WTF. That dance sucks so bad. xDDDDDDDDD SHITE I could have choreographed a more exciting routine. D<

(It was pretty funny though. XD) At least there was Shojou hair flipping galore?
