'ed out of me, so I started this up. Since she suggested this thread being created, Shauna got first choice on it. Here's a little story about the daughter of Shikamaru Nara and Temari at age six during a visit from Gaara to Konoha.

Tentou Nara was a girl of average height...well, as far as six year old girls went anyway. She had been raised by her mother to not worry about trivial things like make up and jewelry to please someone. Luckily for her, Tentou had inherited Temari's natural beauty as well.
The seven year old girl was running with her battle fan bobbing behind her. Her mother had coaxed her into carrying it with her everywhere, to get used to the weight. As she ran, her two black ponytails bounced behind her. She stopped for a brief moment, and jumped up and down, "Come on, Daddy! Uncle Gaara will be here soon!"
Shikamaru sighed, "Tentou, what did I say about rushing everything?"
"Sorry..." she said, looking down. Shikamaru smiled at the cute display; she was going to be a real troublesome girl someday...
"It's okay. But you don't need to go running to the gates a half hour early to see Uncle Gaara. Walk instead, that way you'll get there later and-"
"Not have to wait as long and bother the guards?" she finished, and Shikamaru nodded. She was sure smart for her age.
Tentou was hoisted onto her father's shoulders, and she smiled, "Daddy, when can I learn the Kage Mane no Jutsu??"
Shikamaru laughed, "Once you're ten, I'll start teaching you."
She smiled as she pulled on his ponytail, and giggled when he let out an "Ow!"
As the two reached the gate, they noticed Temari had gotten there before them. She must have finished the meeting with the other kunoichi already. Shikamaru set Tentou down, and she immediately ran to her mother, "Mommy!"
Temari knelt down and hugged her daughter, "Hi honey. So, are you here to welcome Uncle Gaara too?" She laughed as her daughter nodded enthusiastically.
The family waited for about ten minutes when a group of six figures could be seen heading towards the village, "Uncle Gaara!"
Tentou sprinted down the road, ignoring the calls from both her parents. She bounded towards her red-haired uncle, and was lifted into the air by a cloud of sand. She giggled as she was brought into the arms of the Kazekage, "Hello, Tentou-chan, how have you been?"
Gaara was now twenty-six years old, and had become quite tall. He still bore the black rings around his eyes, and still was a rather reserved individual...but he loved his niece enough to drop his guard for her, "I'm fine, Daddy said you were coming to speak to the Hokage! Hey, Uncle Gaara, is it true that the Hokage is stronger than you? Did he fight you when you were younger?"
Gaara chuckled a bit; one thing a person could expect when talking to Tentou was that you would be getting bombarded with lots of questions. Her desire to learn was limitless, and she soaked up knowledge like a sponge. She was also a fairly good Shogi player, and had beaten most kids twice her age already.
Gaara dug into a pocket of his coat, and smiled a bit when he handed Tentou a small bag, "I remembered to bring your favorite treat when we were traveling here. Uncle Kankuro couldn't make it, but he said that I should give you this as a present."
Tentou opened the paper bag, and her eyes grew huge, "Pocky!!!" she hugged her uncle tightly, "Thank you, Uncle Gaara! Oh, can you tell Uncle Kankuro thank you too? I wish he was here."
Temari and Shikamaru walked up to greet the young Kazekage and his escorts, "Gaara, I missed you." Temari hugged her youngest brother, and recieved a light hug in return. Shikamaru nodded and held out his hand, which Gaara took.
"Been awhile, Gaara. Naruto's been planning for this all week; the Chunin exams have been causing him a lot of stress lately, with Iwa boycotting it and what not..." Shikamaru sighed, "How's the homefront holding up in Suna?"
Gaara nodded, "Iwa's been quiet lately...I suspect that they along with Ame and Kusa are trying to recover from the battle in Yuki two months ago*."
Shikamaru, being the leading officer of battle tactics, and the Rokudaime's Chief Advisor, gave him some fair amount of knowledge in what was happening right now. He had actually been in that battle, along with Kiba, Lee, Sakura, and Naruto himself. The minute Naruto showed up, things became a lot easier, seeing as how Iwa, Kusa, and Ame had all placed a 'flee on sight' command for the son of Minato Namikaze. Kumo was not as fearful of Naruto, and Mizu, Oto and Getsu were still neutral at the moment. Suna, Umi*, Hoshi, Yuki, and Taki were all allied together after the first year of the Fourth Shinobi War.
Fifteen minutes later found Tentou outside the Hokage's doors with his parents and Uncle. Tentou pulled on her mother's battle kimono, and Temari looked down, "Mommy...is it true that the Hokage's wife is the best medic in the world?"
Temari smiled, "Well, as far as the world, I can't say for sure. Sakura is the best medic in all the shinobi nations though." Tentou seemed satisfied with this answer, and waited for the doors to be opened.

Naruto called for the person knocking on his doors to enter, and smiled as he was greeted with the face of his good friend and fellow Kage, Gaara, "Gaara, hey, it's been awhile!"
Gaara nodded, noticing Naruto had his hat off and was currently tending to some paperwork, "Yes, I believe the last time we spoke was when we were deciding how to approach the battle within Kumo six weeks ago."
Naruto nodded, then noticed the other three visitors, "Shika, Temari, how are you two?" Naruto then looked down to see Tentou standing behind her father, "Hey, Tentou-chan. Have you come to help me file my scrolls again?"
She stepped forward, and nodded. Tentou liked helping Naruto out, even if it was easy. Besides, he always gave her something for a reward later. Temari told him not to spoil her; she got enough of that from Shikamaru's mother and Gaara. Naruto simply said he was a dad, and loved kids in general, so it was hard not to.
Tentou started organizing the messy file shelves in the back of the Hokage's office. Her face became more serious, and she was now in 'thinking' mode. Naruto was always reminded of Shikamaru when she did this. He didn't bother her when she was like this, and trusted the six year old well. She was, afterall, a genius like her father. Not stuck up either; definitely nice. She always seemed to find a better way to organize the folders and scrolls that was better than before whenever she came with her mother or father.
While Tentou began organizing the various documents by date and seperating them by domestic and international relevance, Naruto, Gaara, Shikamaru, and Temari discussed the movements of Kumo in the northern regions of the continent. An hour later, Tentou was done and nodded, "Um...Hokage-sama, I'm done."
Naruto (as well as everyone else) turned to look at the filing job she did. Naruto walked over, and beamed. She had seperated the documents by date it seemed, and even managed to categorize them by subject while making it easy to find as well for him. He smiled at her, "Tentou-chan, in another ten years, I am so making you my assistant." he reached into his pocket and handed her a coupon for free BBQ. She smiled, and ran over to show her parents the reward she got.
A knock at the door, a very quiet knock, turned the heads of all present. Naruto recognized it, "Come in, Sachi!"
A small, sandy blonde head poked into the room. Ocean blue eyes scanned the room, and when they fell upon the faces of the others aside from Naruto, the owner of them backed away shyly. He quickly walked over to the desk, and stood shyly by his father, "Hi, Tou-san. Kaa-san said that she's ordering out tonight, so she wanted to know if you wanted stir fry or sea food?"
Naruto smiled, "No ramen?" Sachi shook his head, and Naruto gave an exasperated sigh, "Man, Sakura-chan's killing me with this limited ramen diet," he turned to the other adults, "It doesn't help when your own physician is married to you sometimes." he chuckled as the other three did too, "I'll have stir fry, Sachi."
"Okay..." Sachi looked over to Tentou, and smiled, "Hi, Tentou...did you organize the files already?"
She nodded. Another fun activity was when Sachi was around when she was. They would work together, and if they got done in under an hour, Naruto would take the two out for ice cream sometimes, much to Temari's chagrin.
Fifteen more minutes passed and Tentou and Sachi kept busy by coloring on some blank paper Naruto had with him. After Naruto concluded his meeting, and walked out of his office with Gaara and the others, "Gaara, you will be staying for the rest of the week, right?"
Gaara nodded, "I suppose I have to. Temari-chan wants me to try some of her cooking again, and Shikamaru said that Konohamaru-san has been wanting me to guest-speak for the Academy one of these days. I suppose I could do that."
Naruto nodded, and locked the door to his office, "Sounds good then. Temari, you can send me those reports on the kunoichi meeting in a week's time, and Shika I'll expect the details from Ino from ANBU by the end of tomorrow." Naruto picked up his son, and nodded, "Stop on by later, Gaara, Sakura would like to say hi I'm sure." With that, Naruto made a hand seal and dissapeared with a flash of golden light.
"Tch, he could just do a Shunshin home if he wanted..." Shikamaru said, followed by a troublesome. Temari sighed, and looked to Tentou, "So, honey, want to come home and help me get Uncle Gaara's room ready?"
"Okay!" Tentou said with that the two dissapeared in a flurry of wind and leaves. Shikamaru and Gaara looked to each other.
"I suppose that means we got to give the girls sometime...man, how troublesome..." Shikamaru sighed.
"At least Tentou usually takes your side on arguments." Gaara stated to his brother in law, and Shikamaru nodded.
The two men walked down the stairs, enjoying the warm summer weather as they stepped out into the streets of Konoha.
