I'm new on this page but I have been posting on facebook and tumblr about this topic. I want to know your opinions about this..

Well as I told you before I'd love to everything be a big genjutsu, the fangirl version of sakura and the ugly kids, god I' love so much if everything that happened after 609 was just a genjutsu but I'm not going to get my hopes up 

I'm not saying yout theory don't made sense, it made a lot of sense but the point is; I don't believe kishi has enough inteligence to do all these hidden messages 

But I still have a little hope on SP 

I'd love to see burrito and salsa being revealed "products" from a genjutsu but .... argh I hate you kishi

I believe he made these hints as a way to say "this was not the ending I wanted but well I don't give a kitten, I have money"

Or just to bait us like sakura's novel being released in april 3rd as "sakura's secret" and at end was just a sakura fangirling about sasuke and a OOC!sasuke at end

What makes you so sure that this is all is Infinite Tsukuyomi?? I'd love to read your theory, can you post all of it here?

Well in that case

Many have said that this ending is a retcon, that it retcons the manga. Ah that’s actually false. Because a retcon stands for retroactive continuity and it means changing established information.

Now here’s the thing this ending doesn’t actually retcon the manga at all. You see we didn’t get an ending. Remember what I said in the beginning that it’s not really an ending, it’s just advertising. The “Naruto” story doesn’t have an ending, what it has is an introduction to a new story which by itself is advertising. That’s right instead of an ending we got an introduction to a brand new story. It’s not an ending because chapter 699 which is supposed to be “ending” (that is the last chapter of “Naruto”) doesn’t contain a single element of what an ending is supposed to be. Not one single element of what an ending is; is present in that chapter. Not one.



And before you say “Well that speech is something said in the end of a story”. Wrong, that speech is something said in the middle of the story or after the bad guy realizes what he/she is doing is bad and sees the light. It’s something said after a battle, not as an ending to a story. “Naruto” still doesn’t have an ending. It just continues with a completely different story.



Now you understand why it’s not a retcon? The original story is left behind we get no ending to it and then it just continues but it continues with a completely new story, with completely new characters in a completely new universe. And everything from the original story apart from the names is abandoned.

Chapters 699 and 700 especially 700 are nothing more than an introduction to this brand new story and that is actually advertising. Kishi never finished “Naruto”, he just moved on to something else. Hey moron before you move on to a new story make sure you finish the previous one.



Now you understand why you can’t really consider this is part of the canonical material of the manga? It’s because it’s not part of it. No matter how much they want to say it is. It isn’t.

They didn’t give us an ending, the story that we followed for the last 15 years doesn’t have an ending. Instead of an ending and epilogue we got advertising for whatever follows. That’s why it’s not really canon, it’s canon within itself but it’s not part of the actually story that we followed for 15 years. The “Naruto” story desperately needs a denouement and an epilogue. And it has neither of those.



Again I say this hoping you’ll get it. We got a brand new story with brand new characters set within a brand new universe. And the only thing it has in common with the “Naruto” story is that it borrows their names. The characters that we see after chapter 689 are not the same characters that were portrayed for the last 15 years. There’s no way in hell that the real Naruto would just let Sasuke go like he did in chapter 699 after chasing after him for all those years. There’s no way in hell that the real Sasuke would abandon his new family after he acknowledges them, and on and on. Now let’s move on.



You know what they say “It’s not the destination that matters. It is the journey.” Well that’s true however when the destination completely and utterly destroys the journey, then what's the point of making the journey in the first place? Answer: There's none.

You see what they did here is they made the entire journey pointless. There’s no reason for a new comer to read “Naruto” because all the things that they’ll enjoy about it are completely irrelevant in the end. And there’s no reason for an old fan to re-read “Naruto” because again all the things that he/she might enjoy about it have no meaning anymore. Nothing in the last 698 chapters matters anymore. All was sacrificed and burned to the ground for this brand new story.

I don't know if they will make a whole explaination about how and why everything is a genjuts but I do believe they can at least make an alternative ending for ns fans

If they are going to do an alternate ending or changing the ending entirely, it won't be for us. It will be for themselves.

There are huge mistakes in the plot that no one noticed that are impossible to happen. I agree with Nostradamus but I believe this all part of the story.
