Would it be possible to make a Versus or battle section where people make a topic like Kakashi vs A and then a discussion as to who would win and stuff?

Yes but you guys have the warning system and of course bashing will be against the rules and it will be about their abilities. Cant we just try it out and if it gets out of hand then you could always close it.

I must admit my initial reaction was like Derock's, and that was because we recently had two visits from purposefully antagonizing trolls, from a forum that encourages 'Versus' threads as well. And like Derock says, those threads usually devolve quickly into bashing and drama.

 

But after my knee-jerk reaction subsided and I really examined your request, I think it can be handled well here on H&E, especially since it will be mainly about each ninja's skills and abilities versus another, correct? Let's get Smiter's say on it, to see if he believes it would be okay for you to go ahead with it

I don't know if this can be done but maybe you can put a certain number of posts a person has to have before getting involved in these threads like 50 or 30 just to stop trolls from just joining and causing trouble?

Well, we can create a Versus forum that is limited to certain groups.    Any excluded groups would see a password prompt, and we wouldn't give out the password, because allowed groups wouldn't need to enter one.

 

I'll see what the rest of the mod team says, if everyone is OK with it then we can go ahead and create one by the end of this week.

The Sparring Grounds have now been created!

 

This new forum is on a trial, we will see how it goes.    Only Rookies and above (50+ posts) can access it, and that requirement may be adjusted if necessary.  It is for serious discussion of ninja and their abilities, and not meant to be a place for spam posts.  The usual Rules of Conduct apply, of course.
