Well, as we all know, a new cover is up now. For those who don't know, this is it:

Now, as we all supposed, Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke, are the Neo Sannins. Before going no with Sakura, she hasn't shown anything, let's just wait until the times come ok? No one else knew about Sasuke's new contract with the Hawks, yet, it came out of the blue. Same might be happening with her.

Anyway, going further, we know that they all have been, each, a student of one of the Legendary Sannin. And as we know, the Legendary Sannins were depicted from the novel called "The tales of Gallant Jiraiya".
There, the powerful Orochimaru went against Jiraiya, but he had the support of Tsunade.

Now, looking at them and the costumes they have, some ideas popped in my mind.

As we know, the ballance between Orochimaru and Jiraiya was Tsunade, in both the original tale and the manga.

If we look at the drawing Kishi made, Naruto is the first, Sasuke is the last. Balancing them out, is Sakura, in the middle.

Now, we've all seen that Naruto has 9 katanas, probably emphasizing the 9 tails. Looking at his costume, red and green are predominant to it.
Red can be associated with Gamabunta's color as well as the Kyuubi.

That green, not sure for what, but maybe for Kurama's healing chakra properties? We'll just all have to take a guess.

Now, going on with Sasuke. His dominant color is purple.
This can be associated with his Susano'o and, as well, Orochimaru since Manda was initially, purple.

Could probably be a foreshadowing of his Perfect Susano'o? Given all the things happened in Naruto until now?

Also, the fact that on both him and Naruto, the armor is covering them all, could probably foreshadow their SUsano'o and Kyuubi cloak as both cover the entire body.

Now, probably everyone is asking... but what about Sakura, right?

Well, given her costume, and the fact that, if we take all the flowers off, the dominat color is white.
Who is majorly white? Well, you guessed it. Katsuyu.

So maybe in the end she will get her contract with the Slug. If she hasn't already, somehow. As well, if you'll say that Katsuyu had those white marks. Well, Sakura was always put on another Slug in the past.

Yes, it was a slug, but doesn't resemble Katsuyu.

Now, as Kishi has been quite tacit about Sakura, what else could he have in store for her?
Given my searches, here and there, this is what I found.

As we all see, her costume resembles a lot a Samurai one.

The Koga was formed when a samurai, Koga Saburo Kaneie (Koga-Oni-no-Kami) had a son, Iechika, who studied the art of Genjutsu from a Yamabushi named Tatsumaki Hoshi.

Strangely enough, their sign is full of circles:

And as a whole, it resembles a flower. Maybe there's something connected to her Genjutsu thing that Kishi kept talking.

Also, about Kunoichis:

Unlike their male counterparts, the Kunoichi used their good looks to attract an enemy general and silence them when they least expect it. Kunoichijutsu (‚*ƒmˆêp; the Art of the Deadly Flower),uses the principles of the element of water, which fits the kunoichi perfectly. They can enter the enemy general's mind like the ocean receding, and destroy her prey like a crashing wave.

As we all know, Sakura's name is a flower.

Also, that green sword, could refer to her healing abilities.

The fact that she has that thing on her forehead, maybe the Yin Seal? Since it's only on the forehead and not covering everything like with Sasuke's and Naruto's case.

So after finding all these details, given the fact that Kishi has been foreshadowing them as the Neo Sannnins, my theory is, that we're about to assist to a Team 7 resolution, with Sakura being the balance between the two of them.

I think that she won't be involved that much in the fight, however, she'll have an important connection, as we had it with Mito in the battle with Hashirama and Madara. As Tsunade had it with the battle between Jiraiya and Orochimaru.

Thoughts? Other theories to share? Let's discuss!

LE: We have lighting (Sasuke's element), we have the whilwind that could pass as Naruto's element and then... we have...well...water. That it's no one's element. Or maybe, it will be Sakuras? o.O
Since in the thing I found, it says that Kunoichi's were killing via principles of water element.
And since it's always that thing with we'll fight together (Naruto and Sakura) maybe this is the counteract for Sasuke's Katon? Since people always said that there has to be a counter for Sasuke's Katon, that Naruto is going to get an second element. What if, that element will actually be Sakura's? O.o
We know that Kakashi said that his wind is more stronger than his Lighting, however, his Katon is more stronger than his wind because it could empower it.
What if, like I said, in order to match his power, water will be Sakura's element?

As in the tales, Jiraiya(Naruto) was able to win over Orochimaru(Sasuke) only with Tsunade's help (Sakura).

God, the potential of awesomeness it's in this picture! o.O

I dunno, that white cloth = Katsuyu connection feels like a stretch.

Also, seeing that Sakura's forehead = Yin seal? Doubtful, it's probably because she just lacks a prominent clan background, that's most likely while there's no symbol on it.

I dunno if you got it in research, but Naginata, the spear that Sakura's using, was supposedly a Samurai Wife's weapon to defend the home if needed.

And I was thinking, wouldn't it be "right" to have either Tsunade or Orochimaru name Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke the new sannin? Like passing the torch to the next generation. Though, I don't exactly know how that scenario would play out.

I LOVE that sakura was still confirmed to be the heroine, not that I had any doubts anyway, its just good to see proof haha, I can't wait for sakura to have her shining moment, be it in this arc or the next.

Well, I sure hope so! Sakura needs some power-up in order to be able to acquire that status... I mean, we know Naruto and Sasuke are power-houses, yet, Sakura....
