[Sakura Blossoms]

Hurricane season is supposed to start June 1 2012 but we've already had one tropical storm in the Atlantic (Tropical Storm Alberto), and are getting dumped on with record rain down here in South Florida. Now we have a hurricane (Hurricane Bud yes, that is the name of the storm XDD) in the Pacific -

More like getting agitated. But then again, ever since the we Northeasterners had gotten the sudden snowstorm around the last day of October, the weather had been acting very funny.

Well let's hope that like the last two years, all Hurricanes heading to the Sunshine State, decide to take a detour to New York.

There the hurricane in near to Mexico. It a little too soon for that.
I just hope my cousin in Texas didn't have a hurricane nearby

Batten down the hatches Florida and Georgia. We've got ourselves a storm and man, has it been throwing off some crazy lightning and insanely loud thunder, even down my end of the state >.>

If it's that bad then I don't want to imagine how it will be when it transforms into hurricane. I will pray to everyone in that area and you too Sakura that everything goes well.

Every region has its issues. At least we can see a hurricane/tropical storm coming and have time to prepare for it, unlike earthquakes and tornadoes where you're hit with absolutely no warning and no time to prepare.

True enough, plus a cat 1 or 2 isn't really too bad, ridden out a couple of those. Cat 3 or above and head for the hills.

A little overdue for a more busy season. Mother Nature gave us a break for a long time in Florida after that busy, busy 2004 season.

Yup, I was just as shocked as you were. But Friday we got a lot of rain down in Miami. I had to pick up my mother's medicine amidst the rain.

Is this the same one that NOAA said had a 70% chance of developing into one back on Thursday or Friday? I thought that one was more on the western edge of the gulf.

I'm not complaining either way because it's working out pretty well in my area. We're far enough away that we're not really getting wind, but we're getting some much-needed rain.

Interesting tidbit of information -

Now with Debby, this is the first time four tropical storms have been recorded before July 1 during the Atlantic hurricane season since record keeping began in 1851. Alberto was the first storm this year. It formed off the South Carolina coast on May 19, almost two weeks before the hurricane season officially began June 1.

Though we don't have a hurricane in Virginia, we have been experiencing some hurricane force winds lately. At least 3-4 major thunderstorms in less than 7 days is a bit much. I think I drove through a tornado or one that was about to form last night.
