The Anime had implied the baby wasn't born yet. If you look (squint, to be exact) hard enough, and compare her picture when she got out of the hospital in Pain arc (and met up with Naruto) to Kushina when she was preparing to give birth, Kurenai's belly was definitely smaller. I'd say she was only about 7-8 months in. In the time gap between Tsunade waking up to Naruto meeting up with Killer Bee, I'd say it was about 1 month. It makes more sense that each respective villages spent about at least 1 month for initial preparations for the war. In that one month gap, Kurenai's baby was born.

um btw, i think i skimmed through some of the last chapters a bit to fast but, where did ten ten get that fan? whos was it? and why is it called the "banana fan"?? im so confused.

about ten-ten and her banana fan, perhaps she will be able to wield it since she's an expert in weapons? (always wondered how Samehada would react to her, the banana fan is more or less the same thing isn't it?)

Really liked the history of the three clans but I think they repeated the stuff of the earrings 2-3 times (I hate people repeating themselves).
And Chouji did grew his wings without taking the pills, so this means he won't have the side effects of it either does it?

Also I thought this chapter was a little short, probably because it was a very good one instead of the "lamer" fights (Danzo and Ginkaku/his brother).

Also when are we going to see Gaara last time we saw him was 5-6 chapters ago. Are they still waiting 'till his father and the other kage's attack?

That would be an continuity herror since in the anime Kurenai was shown running from Pain attack while she was still pregnant, oh well, the anime team never gets anything right anyway...

All I have to say is, I liked the chapter but I can't wait till we finally get these side fights out of the way, because I'm looking forward to the main event.

Actually, I'm leaning towards the anime on this one. Remember, it only took Naruto one week to finish training and come back to the village. The gap between Naruto meeting Kurenai and his training period was one week. I doubt the baby was born at that time. I think the baby being born between Tsunade waking up to Naruto meeting up with Killer Bee makes sense to me. It was probably a time gap of one month which makes a lot of sense considering that each village would obviously need quite a bit of time for initial preaparations before moving to Kumo.

I'm sticking with her being a desendant of the Sage of the six paths, afterall we know next to nothing about her, and from the Rookie 12 she's the only one with no surname, there must be a reason for that, even being a weapon master should not be enough to handle the chakra drain the weapon supposidly has, or maybe yu are right, it might be the like the sword in the stone, the swod chooses the master, and found TenTen worthy to wield it so doesn't drain her chakra as payment. Whatever the reason I hope Kishimoto explains the situation and doesn't leave it , or maybe Tenten has high chakra reserves just decided to be crazy like her teacher and rely on weapons only.

As for why she has it, she found it after the fight with the gold and silver brothers, it was shown in the panel after the fight, where she saw the handle.
