#474259 The NEW NaruSaku Debate Thread

Saw this... and just no...

Is it really worth the time to read all of that? Your impressions make it seem like it's a huge waste of time.

Well I'm back, like what Miiami put up (but all that stuff was already well known, nice presentation though) :thumb:

Anyways, I just ended a long dissuasion with a really really really stubborn NH fan, this is they type of fan that cannot stand the opinions of others. How did it turn out? Simple:

Long answer: he ran off and did mental gymnastics can claiming everything I did was BS, I give him a simple statement, be freaked out, yelled, and tried to act smug/collected, he ran way claiming he was right/not going to argue with me being wrong. Though he contradicted himself throughout the conversion so many times, I think he got angrier each time I found a fault in his argument. Just another rabid fan who was butthurt by 631.

Short answer: it was funny and amusing.

Show more mercy next time, these are fellow Naruto fans we're talking about. You know how powerful powerful logic is, use it to try and show them why NaruSaku is a beautiful thing that anyone can admire. Don't just destroy them, even if it is "funny and amusing".

But no matter, I don't much care for arguing with other fandoms anyways, it mostly ends the same ways, I try to make an argument and get a barrage of insults and denial. I mean it's clear that we're all biased so I assume NH sees us the exact same way we see them.

It's odd how much difference we are from here and NF NS FC. They don't talk about this Hinata's part because they know the deal is, while here, I don't know but it seems like you guys are reviving NH, which is ironic yet sad. I don't want to change people's opinion but it is a bit annoying if it's just about pairing. I can respect character's opinion, but that's all I can say.

Believe it or not, I'm actually concerned about Hinata's feelings damaging her character. Sounds familiar right?

Could someone tell me what's the exact translation of that part of HInata's when she said she's always been at Naruto's side. Seems awkward to me. I know I have seen it somewhere here, I think...but I can't find the exact page.

Thanks in advance! ^_^

Hmm. I'd also like to know this. Hinata hasn't been at Naruto's side and she knows that. I mean she's been stalking watching him all this time but not at his side....

Okay since everyone is going to talk about Hinata let me give my two cents.

This chapter was obviously about showing the progress of the rookies and further showing the similarities between Team 7 and Team Hiruzen (the sannin).

Given that Team Gai is a year older than the rest they were left out of this chapter and instead the rest of the rookies are showing how far they've come, which they did. They effectively killed a bunch of Juubi fodder. Since team Gai has been left out it's safe to assume they are going to play a much bigger role in the near future. I honestly wouldn't be suprised if either Lee or Gai used the 8th gate to help take down the Juubi itself. As for team 7 they once again make it clear that they are the top contenders against the Juubi, and I have no doubt that with the rest of the shinobi world currently watching that they will be recognized for their actions. Overall this chapter is just about showing everyone that the new generation is shaping up to be pretty awesome. I think next chapter will be about Sasuke's new snake, Sakura's new slug, and Gamakichi's new abilities. I also suspect we'll dive into Obito and Kakashi a bit since it seems like the Juubi is in a really bad spot right now and if this goes on too long the war will be over before Obito and Kakashi are finished fighting.

Now I'll ask you this : Why are you all focusing on Hinata when this chapter had SO much more to it than her 2 pages.

I knew it! Kishi had even more awesome stuff in store for us this week! Take that everyone who said it was going to be switched to Obito and Kakashi!

#471752 NaruSaku Moments You Wish Happened?

I wish Yamato finished his sentence. I mean, it was REALLY obvious that he was going to say "love him" so he should have just said it.

I don't think Sasuke has ever once cared about romance to any degree. He has simply never considered it, or has considered it and deemed it irrelevant and somewhat regressive to his motives. The problem with the latest developments is that once again we lack the necessary information to properly determine Sakura's current feelings.

And since you mention Sasuke, I was wondering, have we ever seen him smile? I mean I'm sure we have in a flashback to when he was like 5, but have we ever seen him form a truly happy smile Itachi's genocide mission?

This is evidence that points to the theory I was espousing earlier. When Yin Seal release was performed Tsunade showed a marked phsycial reaction in the form of those chakra lines on her face.

When she activated Byakugo the lines spread across her entire body visibly on panel.

Sakura has no marks or visible signs of the seals release save the diamond which is the symbol of the seal itself where all the chakra is stored.

So the premise remains the same. It is entirely plausible that Sakura has YET to release her full power, shes just cutting loose now. When she actualy releases the seal and we see the marks ((if we actualy do )) then the potential power she has is incalculable.

I'm not so much interested in the sheer destructive force of her power, but rather the uniqueness and usefulness of the power.

I mean while it would be interesting if Sakura gained the ability to fly and have 10x her normal strength and speed, it wouldn't exactly be that unique. I love how much her strength and speed have been boosted, but what I'm really looking forward to is a cool new technique that she can use all of this new power on.

I had this cool idea of using a very powerful barrier technique that surrounds her entire body like a second layer of skin that acts as both an impenetrable defense and a terrifying offence.

Since the barrier would be constantly shifting places to stay tight around her body it would allow her to move freely while at the same time removing any possibility of her being knocked down or injured.

Not only would it's combat capabilities be amazing but since it is a barrier technique I imagine Sakura would be glowing with some kind of white chakra barrier while it's active.

Sorry if it sounds confusing. This idea is just hard to put into words. I hope some of you can understand it.

EDIT: Why do I make so many typos!?

This is the PM that was sent to my youtube account:

632 Summary...?

I... don't even...

People have the right to be in denial if they choose to be. I mean if it were as easy as that to form a legitimate argument then NaruSaku would have been cannon ages ago. But this is reality. And in reality arguments have to be believable.

For example. If Sasuke saying "heh" means "I know I tried to kill you and everything, but I think I'm in love!" then Naruto responding to Minato with "Yeah, that's pretty much it." means that the wedding is on the way  :zaru:

I had a feeling that Sakura's "Sasuke-kun" was going to be thoroughly discussed the minute I read that panel. You guys are so predictable. :P

I supposed I understand where you're coming from. The reason some get upset is a combination of Kishi milking the romance for all of it's worth, and getting influenced by the opposite fandoms into believing that what they say has more value than what you think.

Just try to sit back and enjoy the chapter for what it is. The reason Sakura said the "Sasuke-kun" was to trigger Naruto's jealousy which does two things:

- I reconfirms for the second chapter in a row that he still likes Sakura since he also wants her attention

- I makes you remember the good old Team 7 dynamic

I think it's understandable that Sakura is happy. You have to remember that whether it ends in love or not Sakura holds Sasuke in the same esteem as Naruto does. Sasuke is also Team 7 and she's glad that he can be there after all this time.

I'd be pretty funny if eventually we get the forehead complement and then we remember how we all looked silly complaining about this chapter. And I think, as others, that the forehead complement is coming since we already have established the NaruSaku/MinaKushi parallel, as well as Minato basically giving his blessing to the soon-to-be couple. That can never be taken away from us no matter what.

It would feel silly at this point that Kishi just made that parallel as a way to be funny. It was meant to reflect how things are meant to be. And now that Sasuke is seemingly on their side there's nothing preventing Naruto from confessing to Sakura and going all out to win her affection. In all honesty even back in Part 1 I think it was going smoothly, and it reached a high point when Sakura found out that Naruto was the one who rescued her from Gaara. But the Sasuke left and it left everything in a standstill.

So I'm interested to see how it shall be resumed. The reason Sakura's confession failed is because even if she wants to be with Naruto she still can't deny what she feels for Sasuke, and now that he's there that can be worked out somehow.

The most essential thing to have in mind is that Naruto still like Sakura very much, and considering his personality he's gonna keep loving her for the rest of his life no matter what happens. So it's either Naruto with Sakura or alone, anything else he chooses is a consolation prize. And considering the build up their relationship has had I really don't think there's any possible scenario in which Naruto doesn't end with Sakura.

Many thing that Minato making the Sakura/Kushina reference sounded like the stuff of fanfiction since NS would become to obvious if it happened, but I guess what Kishi did it anyway. Kishi might want to keep Sakura confused but he want his readers to understand that she's meant to be with Naruto, just like Sasuke is meant to be their trusted teammate again. I mean, we all knew that Sasuke would eventually return to the good side even if Kishi made it seem sometimes like it was a lost cause, so it's the same with Sakura, we are supposed to know that she'll end up with Naruto even if Kishi makes it seems like she still doesn't. If this wasn't Kishi's intent then the parallel towards Kushina would be unnecessary.

What I'm curious about is Juugo's "Sasuke, what are you thinking?", that's a clear indicator that there's more to Sasuke than he's letting on. There are still more surprises to come, there's more to his claim of wanting to be Hokage, all of his intentions are yet to be revealed. And there's the fact that Karin, Suigetsu, and Oro are missing. We'll see.

Anyway, what I recommend is to not read any of the opposing fandoms opinions. It's a little sad that it's come to the point that characters being happy around each other is now twisted to be some sort of declaration of love. But then again, I won't blame them if they do so. They got a huge reality check in the previous chapter regarding Kishi's intentions with NS, so they'll not only deny what happened with all the fiber of their been but will also take the opportunity to use any minimal interaction as proof to their favor.

And in the end, as some pointed out, she immediately focuses her attention on Naruto when he reminds her he's also there. Sakura isn't going to neglect one boy for the other, just like Naruto won't neglect Sasuke in favor of Sakura.

My first reaction to this post : AAAAHHH! SO MANY WORDS! WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS TO ME!!!?

In any case thank you very much for posting this. I hadn't even thought about all the things we've discussed on this forum over and over again.

We've debated about this a thousand times and most of us came to the conclusion that yes, Sakura does still have some kind of feelings for Sasuke that will need to be resolved. NaruSaku can't become cannon until the original team 7 is back together again. If Sakura = Kushina then Kushina would approve of NaruSaku. Just wow! I've been so focussed on everything that's happening now that I've forgotten all that's lead up to this.

When you really look at the big picture these past couple chapters have been SO good for NaruSaku that nothing can compare now.

My fellow NaruSaku fans, our patience has truly been rewarded  :wibble:

Just think... a month ago this would be something out of a fanfic.

You're not dreaming folks.... that's in the manga. This is part of the story. And the best part is, that was only half of the awesomeness that happened for us this chapter.

You know out of everything on here this panel stood out the most.

It's just hilarious to see Naruto in that panel! You would think he'd be afraid but he's just so happy! tongue.gif
He's in the presence of one of the strongest tsunderes in existence and he can't stop smiling! I don't know, maybe it's just me but I love this panel.

#439438 NS Marriage: Surname Uzumaki or Haruno?

Posted by Branden on 20 February 2013 - 12:35 AM

I'd like Sakura to be defined as who she is not who she's married to. Sakura Haruno keeps her as an individual who has her own greatness while Sakura Uzumaki seems more like just a bride.

I don't know. It's really hard put my thoughts into words but the point is I just feel like Sakura Haruno and Naruto Uzumaki feels better. It keeps them who they are. I like it that way. Not saying there's anything wrong with change but it's just my preference.
