I recently have been trying to get reacquainted with my pencil, and paper. smile.gif Figured I would try to learn to draw, any tips? I am more than open to anything constructive.

This is an older picture, I really never got around to fixing the eyebrows, or the lining. >.>

Ahhh the more i look at the second one, the more I notice smaller problems Q.Q

I usually just try to use a picture as an example, since its hard for me to just free draw.. if that makes sense o.o

Well I'm certainly not the best drawer but people tend to say I'm a critic in every aspect of the word. So I'm going to try my best beeing constructive.

I suppose that the first picture is Naruto when he failed to recover Sasuke?

I don't think that his hair grows al the way over his neck and that his whiskers are a bit longer.
The eyebrows look pretty good actually

In the second one I think you've forgotten the kanine-teeth (can't really tell by the quality of the scan, it's a little to dark)

And perhaps in both pictures (more the 2nd than the 1st though) flatten naruto's face a little more. (make it less heigh, if I would need to describe the actual form of his face (if I look at manga):
if you make a rectangle out of it, it would have about the same relationships height/width as the front end of a shoe box (with his hair added on top) with the lid pointing up.

just to make sure: I'm not character bashing on Naruto. Just trying to describe the form of his face. (I think the word is abstract not sure though, I'm dutch tongue.gif)

hope you got something out of my rambling,
keep up the good work and good luck with future drawings

Actually, if you just started learning, then these are well done. I think you understand more than you think. The best thing you can do right now is learn how to draw structure and silhouette before detail. Learn to draw in basic shapes first.
On the morning of Wednesday, April 11th, 2012, my Aunt Karla passed away. She was my mother's baby sister, and my coolest aunt when I was a kid. She was the best babysitter ever, and she was like an older sister to me.

Karly, I don't know if you can hear this. I am not a believer, I haven't been since Sheryl died. But if you can, I want you to know that I'm truly sorry for everything bad I've ever said about you. When you were suffering, I should have been there to help you. I should have visited. I should have encouraged you to leave the house and get a job, to be active and alive the way you used to be.

I promise that I will do everything that I can to be successful and a good person, to make you proud the way you would have wanted me to. No matter what I said, I loved you. And I will always love you. Rest in Peace, you will never be forgotten.
