#618809 The NEW NaruSaku Debate Thread

Posted by redragon88 on 29 October 2014 - 06:05 PM

If we got the most anticipated fight resolved in five chapters, we can get a damn confession done in two.

And here I am constantly writing long paragraphs about that exact same point and you can simply summarize it in one single sentence.

lol Now I feel dumb. :argh:

#617126 Chapter 697

I say that pairings should get resolved in the manga. The romance might just be a simple subplot, but it's one that is deeply connected to the story, and it would be down right insulting to cut it from the manga for the sake of a movie.

Even if this chapter has nothing related to romance and we only have next week left I would still say the same.

I still believe in Kishi saying that he wants to end the story conclusively, and having Naruto confess to Sakura as well as seeing if they get together is a very clear element needed in order to say that Naruto's story has reached a full conclusion. It's the one element that establishes his potential future family, you can't just simply skip that in favor of a movie. Telling the manga story to it's completion matters way more.

Yep

There was also that "Love is in the air" tease that she wrote. People really freaked out that day.

The best one so far was that all-day tease of the chapter in which Kakashi gets susanoo. Evil posted like 10 different spoilers and people were busting their heads figuring out which one was true.

I really hope that Evil makes an appearance for this chapter.

so I'm not alone

You were never alone. Many of us thought the same way. As it should be. The manga should show the conclusive end.

I knew it :wallbash:  damn it i should have known better XP

btw sasuke is actually cute in a girl version I think I could ship it then (narusasu) :pimp:

I think part of the reason Sasuke is so popular (both in and out of the manga) is because he inherited a lot of feminine features from his mother.

Girly looking boys are popular with young girls in Japan, at least from what I hear. That's why a lot of J-pop male performers dress and look somewhat feminine.

Ehhh, I just don't think the plot of the movie is the best place for a love triangle.. so we'll most likely get resolved pairings in the manga. It looks more like a story arc that would've been in the manga tbh. That, and also the "hey it's been three years let's see what everyone is up to" part of the movie is just to see where everyone is later on in life. That's like saying we'll see Naruto and Sasuke battle conclude in the movie, when it's just really to see what they're doing the future. I think we'll be ok. :thumb:

Exactly. I keep hearing how the manga will be open ended with the couples so it can be included in the movies, but I think that would be a disservice to the story within the manga.

The movie should serve as an expansion of the story, not a direct continuation. The manga alone should be considered a complete story on it's own, and should provide a conclusive ending, which is what Kishi has been saying he would deliver, so I just don't understand why it could be otherwise.

I believe the manga will have an open ending for encouraging people to go at cinema for seeing which pairings will be canon. It's marketing. If he makes canon NS in the last chapter of manga, NH/SS will be so mad that they won't go to see the movie, not all of them but a large part yes. If he will make NH/SS canon in the last chapter, same thing for NS fandom. That's why I think he will leave an open ending in the last chapter. The movie will give all kinda answers to us, and honestly I am a little scared because, despite the development in the manga, we cannot never think what's up in Kishimoto's mind, since I have lost much faith in him in latest years (not only pairing stuff but other stuff too).

He never developed very well hyuugas in the manga, but the plot of the last movie is about all hyuugas everywhere.... I mean, wtf?

I would be fine with him making that story about Shino's journey to find a giant bug since this should just be an extra movie that expands on the series, not some continuation of the overall story. The manga should tell us all the story that needed to be told, so that's why I would find it so stupid if things are left unresolved like that.

Kishi might as well have skipped the fight between Naruto and Sasuke and make it a trilogy of movies for the new era project if he really wants to milk the series.

Keep in mind this is just how I see things. Just telling my opinion. I'll wait for the final chapter to see how the story ends (or does it?).

just wait...all this is only the tip of the iceberg. When the manga will be ended, we will be immersed of NH & SS advertisements which will make a sea of kittens. I am really prepared mentally, whether or not NH will be really canon.

So tell me, you believe the manga might end in a "to be continued in the movie" type of note? Don't you think the movie would rather cover a period between the ending and the epilogue within the manga? Therefore we would see Naruto as Hokage and see how he ends up with as well?

I find it so hard to believe that Kishi would purposely change the end of his story just for the sake of some movie. Despite his flaws I think Kishi cares about the story he created to the point of not doing such a thing.

Still, no matter what kind of indirect teasing they want to do about Hinata nobody can take away that tease about how Naruto for Sakura's beauty in that commercial about the sketches. That was a pretty blunt tease if you ask me.

That would mean Kakashi is the final villain! That look! He will turn at the end of what could be new era manga or whatever. And the movie will show hint of his turn!

It all makes sense now. That sketch for the movie villain is just misdirection. Kakashi is the true mastermind behind the moon falling.

Naruto: Why Kakashi-sensei? Why are you trying to destroy the world?!

Kakashi: Because you let Obito die!

The people disappointed by the movie plot are just idiots. Of course the movie would center around Hanabi, it was so freaking obvious. I mean, she's been such an important character throughout all the story.

:zaru:

Oh, and it seems Sasuke became a hobo. I knew being a wanderer wasn't easy, but I didn't think it would be THIS bad. :lmao:

I'll explain to you.

In fact, when Naruto talks to Sakura in japanese, he doesn't use any pronoun to say "you" he just calls her Sakura-chan when he's adressing directly to her.

While in that sentence he uses the pronoun お前 "omae" to say you, which is the pronoun he uses for all his peers. So it can't be Sakura.

You know, just the fact that Naruto has a special cute way to address and talk to Sakura makes it even more hard to believe storywise that he would just stop loving her and go for Hinata.

Are we supposed to expect that Naruto starts saying "Hey, it's great to see Hinata-chan around here", or something like that?

That would be so freaking weird. :argh:

I just realized this place is going to be like this until November 6. :argh:

I still believe we'll see a definite end in the manga, and that the movie will just fill in the blanks. That's to say we'll see a final pairing during an epilogue of the manga and we'll see more of it's development during the movie.

Finally we understand each other  :sweatdrop: . Even though I don't like how it was done much like 693  , I want there to be a resolution  to everything  mostly her feelings for Sasuke that she doesn't love him and then move to Naruto to prove it to him that's all  . But my faith in Kishimoto isn't sparkling after all the kitten that he has written and the time we have in the manga  :twitch:

I'm still pretty sure Kishi will deliver when it comes to Sakura loving Naruto completely, even if the way he does it is considered crappy by some fans.

@FreakySandra1995

"Listen to me, Tsuyu. Remember this: There is a bad/evil spirit that lives in every human being. The name of this evil/bad spirit is: Ideology." She explained.

Wait, the sensei is a girl? Everything I know is a lie. :argh:

@KnS

Wait, in your opinion Sakura is already aware that she doesn't love Sasuke romantically? Don't you think she needs to have a final realization of that?

I think Sakura was referring to romantic love in 693, but that's only how she thinks she feels and will realize that's not the case before the end.
