In Topic: Naruto Reflected the Childhood of Masashi Kishimoto (Interview)

Curious. I wonder why he loves Sasuke so much then. I wonder Kishimoto see's himself as Sasuke.

You might not be too far from the truth.

It might be that Naruto is who he was as a child and Sasuke was who he wished he was.

You have no idea how disappointed I was when I read that one interview in which he admitted that he was too embarassed to include romance. He let two girls confessed their love to their guys, starting one of the greatest shipping wars in the history of manga. Wtf did he even mention something like this in the first place?!

The can't write romance part? Yeah that's been in interviews before. The leaving it up to others? No that's just me guessing based some info about The Last that romance being the main theme of the movie was the suggestion of SP. I don't know if the info was true or not, somebody else might be able to answer for me? Considering all of NH's development is being pushed into that movie I wouldn't be surprised though.

Is there any chance that we'll see Kishi go down this route some time later on by creating his originally intended ending?

Doubt it.

At most we'll probably get a confession that he originally intended Naruto and Sakura to be together, if it was solely his decision he might elaborate on why he changed it but he probably won't place any of the blame elsewhere if he was pressured into it. At most it will be something along the lines of "I can't write romance so I left it up to others to decide it" or something of the sort.

Ok, I'll ask the person later; however, I cannot guarantee that he will know the stats. He's simply telling me what he witnesses over there, which I still think tells me a lot more than a few stupid tweets translated by google.

From what I've gathered so far, many people are definitely unhappy and shocked about it. He said that many Japanese people are still very insular in their beliefs; these asspulled pairing did not sit well with them. Besides couples, we all know that Japanese people view mangas very differently than people in the western world since they are able to understand the cultural influences in Naruto.

I'm just gonna quote what the person said: "People Are just talking about how stupid and down to kitten it all just went. The story total deviated from it's core roots and foundation. Relegated naruto to a background character towards the last few chapters of his own story. This is the first time I have ever read an manga ending where the main character is just eye candy and a fixture in his own manga."

Apparently, some mangakas are going to redraw the ending- of course, not canonwise, but that tells you that even mangakas hated the ending.

I hope that there's a Naruto panel at Jump Festa this year, there usually is and The Last will have been out for a few weeks so everyone will have the full story and I just hope Kishi or someone from SP just get bombarded with questions about the ending especially if as many people as you say are upset and I totally believe you that there will be.

So pretty much, everyone isn't a fool to think it's not made for money. It's funny how three big trio, you can learn something. DBZ being stretched for too long because well, feed me more, and Naruto ending in a favor of market because well, it's best for business. I don't know what One Piece will bring but please, don't sell out.

One Piece might actually be too popular to ever have anything done to it or sell out in any way. I doubt Jump would want to do anything to upset Oda or ruin it's golden goose.
