The word Soapdish captures my attention and makes me want to keep looking at the name for a bit. Enthralling XD
It's because it's French.
And a very belated hello back to you all. (I probably should say y'all )

Why not keep going?
About the finale, it's disappointing, but I think that the only things that we really lost are the payoff (which I wasn't expecting much of anymore) and any future NaruSaku scenes. It doesn't change what already happened. It can change our perception of it - and it's probably hard to completely avoid that - but that's something that we have some control over.
They had a lot of great moments. I'll continue to appreciate those and I think they'll continue to inspire more NaruSaku fanfics and fanart.

Great post, Tricksie!
I'm pretty disappointed by the ending, but I'm still a fan of NaruSaku.
I've been unimpressed by the writing for a couple hundred chapters now and with relationships pushed to the background, I was starting to think that it'd be an open ending. And that even if it was NaruSaku, it would be anticlimactic and feel rushed, mostly having to rely on development from hundreds of chapters ago..
I felt kinda like I'd ordered a pizza and that it was hours late. Whatever came was going to be cold and I'd already heated up a frozen pizza, but I was still looking forward to the pizza. And now that the pizza has finally arrived, it's even colder and more stale than I thought, but worse, they got all the toppings wrong. Anchovies?! Blech!
OTOH, being late doesn't matter quite so much when they get the order so completely wrong.
I don't regret being a NaruSaku fan and I still enjoyed the first part and a decent chunk post-time skip. And I'm grateful that Kishi wrote a relationship between the two of them that has inspired so much fantastic fanart and fanfiction. I'll keep on enjoying those fanarts and fanfics, and I expect new ones to keep coming out.
But I am feeling a bit burned and don't plan on reading or watching anything new from Kishi though.
