I'd like to see something half as proofy as that ^ for either Naruto or Sasuke. No, doesn't exist? I see. The thing is, neither NaruHina or SasuSaku have overt hints like that, "How does she feel about Naruto? Sakura has still not found the answer." That's pretty obvious that Sakura feels romantically conflicted about him. The only "proof" of feelings Naruto has for Hinata are actions of a comrade which are romanticized - which is exactly what we get berated for. 

 

Anyway, I doubt Naruto will end up seeming like a consolation prize for Sakura, because (especially in part 2) I've seen all the development. Sakura may consciously think she likes Sasuke (though not even that is confirmed), however, I think she'll come to love Naruto without needing a rejection from Sasuke, and will consciously realize that he's the one she loves. 

Just started the show, but I think Mikasa's beautiful! Definitely the prettiest one. I can't remember what everyone looks like, though. And don't hate me, but Annie's nose bothers me... Mikasa and Sasha before her. (Sasha's adorable!)

So I have the Official Naruto Character Data Book, and in it, it has all the characters' weights.

 

Can I just say... lolwut?

 

Kishimoto made everyone in this series a frickin stick according to their weights! I don't accept them as truth, but they're kinda funny. I'll put my judge on the weight. Tell me what you think if you feel like it. I'm just putting a few.

 

Naruto: 5'5, 112 pounds. I guess you've got no muscle, man. Nope, I'm gonna say 130. 

Sasuke: 5'6. 115 pounds. How about 135, 140? Sheesh. 

Kiba: 5'6, ALSO 115 pounds. He seems thicker than Sasuke, I'd say 140 at least.

Sakura: 5'4, 100 pounds. NO, JUST NO! SHE WOULD NOT WEIGH 100 POUNDS. NO. That's 30 pounds lighter than the ideal healthy weight for a 5'4 woman! I'd say 115, at least.

Hinata: 5'3, 99 POUNDS. No way. She's not even tiny! I mean, look at her chest! Boobs are heavy, man! Her "weight" defies physics! I'd say she's ACTUALLY 125, easily.

Shikamaru: 5'7, 118 pounds. He weighs less than me, lol... I'd say 130 at least

Ino: 5'4, 101 pounds. *facepalm* Why are all these girls so unrealistically thin? 

Tsunade: 5'4, 108 pounds. *double facepalm* I've said it once, I'll say it again: boobs are HEAVY. There is NO way Tsunade is only 108 pounds. 125. At LEAST. Probably more like 130. 

Konan: 5'6, 100 pounds. How does she not blow over in the wind? 120 AT LEAST.

Hidan: 5'9, 125 pounds. lolz. Try 150, that sounds more accurate. I mean, the dude's even got some abs!

Kisame; 6'4, 183 pounds. Wow. We have a sane weight. o.O

 

Anyway, just thought I'd share these ridiculous weights with you all! I even checked the ideal weights of people according to height and gender, and practically all of these were like, 10 or 15 pounds under the healthy range, which mean like 20 or 30 pounds under the ideal healthy weight. Now I know Kishimoto's Japanese and Japanese people are skinny and stuff... but THAT skinny?? Besides, they're ninjas, and ninjas are muscular. And anyway, he doesn't draw them to look Japanese. Hinata sure don't LOOK 99 pounds. But, it's funny to laugh at anyway

I'm not someone who really crack ships pairings. Most of the pairings I prefer are canon to some degree, but I do mildly crack ship SasuHina and NejiHina and that's about it. I don't care to ship Naruto and Sakura with anyone but each other, anyone else just feels weird to me.

I didn't used to crack ship and just thought it was plain weird, until I saw this awesome DeiSaku fanart which was posted alongside this BEAUTIFUL DeiSaku fanfic. That artist singlehandedly pulled me into the shipping world of DeiSaku I didn't understand it until I realized that crack shipping basically exists in fanfiction. You take two characters who don't interact much in the actual story and put them into an alternate situation in which they have to work together. For example, in the DeiSaku fanfic, Deidara and Sakura got stuck in some snowy country hundreds of miles from civilization, and in order to survive they're forced to work together. It's really cute and funny, too, because the characters are totally in character. Deidara keeps trying to ditch her and stuff, and Sakura is still Sakura, and... It's just awesome. So, you just have to realize crack shipping for what it is. It's kinda like it's own story unrelated from the actual story, except for with the same characters

As you may know, I'm a movie buff. I've seen a lot of movies and some of them were like live action versions of NaruSaku. I will give you my list, so you guys can tell me yours. There was a thread about this but its closed.

 

1. Titanic (Obviously)

2. Romeo and Juliet (Any version)

3. Harry Potter (Harry and Ginny & Ron and Hermione are similar to NaruSaku)

4. Avatar

5. Spiderman movies

6. Iron man movies

7. Hulk (2003) and The Incredible Hulk (2008)

8. Countless Bollywood movies (I grew up watching them) Because the main heroes in most movies are goofballs like Naruto and the main females has hot tempers, strong and good hearted like Sakura, also the villains are like Sasuke because of the way he treats Sakura. Another thing is that the main female in some movies falls in love with the hero but her parents tell her that the hero is no good, nuisance etc and they force her to marry the villain because he is "cool" and stuff and the hero saves the day and gets the girl he loves. Also in some movies the female didn't realise the love of the hero until an incident or in the end. Plus when the hero looks at the main female for the first time it's love at first sight. (Kishimoto hasn't revealed how Naruto and Sakura met for the first time but I hope he will).

 

So these are my movies that remind me of NaruSaku. Feel free to tell me yours.   

 

 

Just gonna discuss the ones I highlighted. First off, Harry Potter! I don't see Harry Potter as similar to NaruSaku. Ginny was a random side character that randomly got the protagonist, while the two main sidekicks got each other. If anything, that's more similar to SasuSaku and NaruHina - protagonist getting an unimportant side character (Hinata) while his two sidekicks (Sasuke and Sakura) end up together. Personality-wise, Ron and Hermione is kinda like NaruSaku because Ron is stupid and Hermione's smart, but Ron is also all around incompetent whereas Naruto clearly is not.. Harry is kinda bland without near as much personality as Naruto, and Ginny has practically no personality. Or maybe she does in the book, and I just can't remember because in the movie she's just as blank as a notebook sheet. BUT, onto the good news! While this did happen, JK Rowling said that she realizes now that it was a mistake and Harry and Hermione should have been together, because as far as characters and character roles are concerned, the protagonist should not end up with a tiny side character. Heheheh.

 

As for Avatar, I think that's a great example. It's a lot like NaruSaku. The two main characters falling in love, with the girl taking a long time to admit to it while the guy likes her the whole time. Except, funny story, I despised Kataang. Haha. So, as far as character roles are concerned, GOOD! As far as relationship development, BAD. NaruSaku is FAR superior than Kataang when it comes to relationship development. 

Why did she lie to him in the first place? Wasn't it all for her own selfish reasons?

Not at all. Didn't you listen to Sai's assessment? Sai said that the reason Sakura confessed was to ease Naruto's suffering. She felt full responsibility for Naruto's suffering about Sasuke because it was his promise to her which ended up sending him down his obsession with bringing back Sasuke. That is the basis of his sadness. What she hoped to achieve by her confession was to release Naruto of his promise and therefore make it so he wouldn't have to go after Sasuke anymore. By saying she was in love with Naruto and was over Sasuke, it would make her letting go of the promise seem more believable. That would first, end his suffering and pain at not being able to bring Sasuke back, and second, keep him from danger by going after Sasuke. So I don't see her confession as being selfish at all. It's done completely for Naruto's sake. It might not have been the smartest thing for her to do, but it was completely selfless and done BECAUSE she loved Naruto. However, when she realizes that Naruto is going after Sasuke not just because of the promise, she's can't continue with her plan of telling him of the rookies' decision to kill Sasuke. Why? Because she knew it would upset him and she couldn't stand to see him that way, especially since she wasn't able to soften the blow with her confession as she planned.

I'm super excited for it to come to theaters DUBBED next month! Woop woop! (I prefer to watch the series dubbed, so no hatin'!)

No, not really. I'm quite lucky, in that regard, though. None of my friends are really into anime (one of them likes Death Note and another one liked Vampire Knight but that's all), so I mostly watch Naruto with my sisters, and it was actually my older sister who converted me to NaruSaku. Now I think I love it more than she does :3 My other sister is neutral but knows that NaruSaku's going to happen because it's the only one that makes sense. In addition to that, I'm the admin for a fairly large (4,000 members) NaruSaku group on facebook and am getting involved on the forums here, so practically everybody I talk to believes in NaruSaku 100%. Anyway, my point is that I mostly only talk to NaruSaku fans, so I never feel threatened by other pairings, really. My suggestion to you is to not talk to people about Naruto pairings if they don't like NaruSaku. It's going to happen, I have no doubt, so just don't bother with the haters. Their eyes will be opened soon enough when NaruSaku happens. :) Also, if you're worried, just find proof essays and stuff, because honestly, the only ship with ANY proof at all, really ,is NaruSaku ^^

If SasuSaku happened, I would mostly just be ticked off at Kishimoto for being such an IDIOT. I'm still pretty annoyed by the fact that Sakura still had romantic feelings for her 12-year-old crush after having not seen him for two and half years and almost being killed by him three times. I feel like that's just unrealistic and Kishi trying to make her, like all of his female characters, stupidly and illogically in love. It just doesn't make sense. If my 12-year-old crush started killing people, I would stop liking him! Anyway, enough about that... If Sakura then proceeded to end up with Sasuke, I'd say, "Screw this, Kishi. You've lost all credibility as a writer" and walk off into the sunset. 

 

Buuuut, he's proven himself to be pretty good time and time again, so I highly doubt that'll happen ^^ So, yeah. If SasuSaku happened, I'd mostly be annoyed with Kishi for making Sakura a complete idiot and not being the character he wants her to be. 

Yeah... and if they have any "proof," it's way too complicated and far-fetched. Like how even though Kushina told Naruto to find a girl like his mother, they pull out some random quote where she tells Naruto she hoped he didn't turn out with any weird quirks and say, "Yeah, because she totally wanted a girl who had the characteristics of herself that she hated."

First of all, that's out of context. 

Second of all, she said find a girl like your mother. Sakura is compared to Kushina by none other than Kushina's own husband.

Aaand, that's just one example. Stop making things more complicated than they are! Kishi likes parallels, but I don't think he's invested enough in the romance to make symbolism and parallels as complicated as people (NH/SS) make them out to be  

Yup yup, NaruSaku REALLY is just the best Putting together this essay really left NO doubt at all that NaruSaku was going to be canon. And Iwantbuns, your signature is just ADORABLE!
