Haha, I gotta have the same reaction as others and say, "It was still airing?" Power Rangers was one of those things that I loved as a kid but eventually just outgrew, and stopped paying attention to it.
So did I! XD
Along with the movie, action figures, a video game, Red Ranger Halloween costume... yeah, I liked it a lot.

Well, it's a ABOUT F-ING TIME!!
I used to watched the show when it first aired. But now the series was getting overrated after season 3, I mean, very overrated.

Like everyone else has said (well kinda said) the first season ONLY did it for me. I seriously don't remember any of the others. I try to but all I can come up with is my broadening my sights into Ninja Turtles X3!
but yes back to the omfg power rangers XDDDD I'm happy to admit that we blasted the theme song on our way to our prom back in 08
It was probably one of the best times I've had dipping into the well of nostalgia

I think I stopped watching after the 3rd season. But really liked it. The newer versions were horrible!! But the series to shame.

Ahhh, the memories. Remembering watching teenagers beat up on retarded people in suits, getting powers from dinosaurs, driving machines that combined, playing Power Rangers despite the warnings from several school newsletters warning us not to or we would get killed like that one girl in Sweeden, chickening out on the Game Gear game when the next boss was DragonZord, fighting over who gets to be the green ranger, making fun of whoever we suspect is in love with the pink ranger...good times indeed.
I pretty much outgrew it after the movie, or to put it more accurately, I did not understand the movie was non-canon at the time, and when the series continued, I was a wee bit confused, and stopped watching. I was surprised that they managed to carry it on for so long, especially when the Power Rangers in Space finale seemed to actually be the conclusion for all the Power Rangers series at the time. It puzzled me even more when Toon Disney kept airing the show around midnight (Power Rangers on Adult Swim?). And rumor has it, they had some continuity with other past series, which convinced me even more that they were trying to attract old fans, without realizing those old fans had grown up.

Well, it's about time! O___O
I still remember when Power Rangers first came out... Mighty Morphin' will always be the very best!
While everyo girl I knew was favoring over Kimberly, or any other Pink Ranger... I fangirled over Trini because she was just that amazing! (Yellow Ranger FTW!) Especially since she didn't have to wear a skirt with her uniform, but there was so much more about her that I loved! Trini inspired meeeee (basically everyone from the first season did!) How I remember clustering up with my friends and suddenly deciding to play Power Rangers~
My friend Tommy used to have a fit whenever he was given 'Tommy', because playing the same person all of the time was pretty boring. All of us arguing over who was going to be who and many of us getting angry when we realized there were not enough Rangers to complete our Team. So one of us always ended up being Zordon or something XD
I enjoyed...no LOVED the first three seasons, and also enjoyed Wild Force (which had that episode where all of the Red Rangers got together to save the day! ^^), but after watching Ninja Storm... it started to die after that. Loved it when Tommy was the Green Ranger though, and mentally slapped myself when he came back as the White Ranger - I saw it coming and everything, but stiiiillll! And then doesn't he make a reappearance in Dino Thunder as the Black Ranger?! Just thinking about all of this has me wanting to watch the Mighty Morphin' movie and playing the video game.
Good times back then, and I used to wish I had a Zoid of my own. XDDD
ARGH! The memories are bothering me too much...
...and just watching the opening to the first seasons isn't helping either...

Still, I remember being a total fanboy for the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, and wanting to get all the action figures (I only got a Blue Ranger action figure, I so deprived). Never had any of the games, but I do remember watching them a lot.
Looking back on it now, I can at least say that I lived through the era when Power Rangers was cool and somewhat original. Unfortunately, they started making series like, "Jungle Dino-Police Force" and whatever the hell else came to mind. Still, I guess it was going to happen sooner or later. A long dead series can only stay on air for so long.
