Shonen Magazine
Naruto by Masashi Kishimoto the story of a young boy, trying to fulfill his dreams, had all of its rights sold to the writer of the much acclaimed manga series Fullmetal Alchemist. The event came to pass after a heated dispute between Kishimoto sensei and his editors, after numbers show the falling popularity of his manga, after the much controversial ending, the writer decided to sell all of his rights to the manga to Arakawa sensei.
When asked, of Kishimoto sensei why he would sell his magnum opus. He simply replied. "I believe it is time to move on from the Naruto manga. I think that after all this years, I just want to focus on my next work, without having the weight of Naruto on me." When asked about details on his heated discussion with his editors. Kishimoto sensei simply laugh and left no comment.
When asked to Arakawa sensei about what she has plans for Naruto, she simply said. "I want to take the manga in a different direction, I want to rewrite most of it, I respect Kishimoto sensei and his work, but his manga at the current state is just awful, so I plan to do a reboot, and change some things around. For instance I plan for this manga to be done more in a setting similar to 1900 Japan during the Meiji period.
When asked for more, she simply refused and said that, currently it is all being worked upon.
No one knows how this will affect Studio Pierrot, as they are currently producing they're 23rd Hinata fandom episode, and are working on more movies based upon the Naruto herroine. There are rumors going around that if they loose the rights to animation of the series, Studio Bones should step into the picture and fill the role.
