Same for me I have 66 volumes on my shelf that I will never touch again, I think that is what makes me the angriest. Even looking at them makes me feel slightly sick, I feel I have wasted almost $1500 on Naruto related merchandise including the volumes and Shonen Jump etc.

I don't know how many people remember this show or care but my son just told me of the death of Jovian the lemur who doubled as the puppet Zaboomafoo in this wildlife show for children,

To me this sounds like he was tired of writing Naruto and someone offered to continue the series, the series will probably not do very well cuz as far as I am concerned Naruto and Sasuke both died after the battle of 699 and the series should be titled

The Tragedy of Naruto

I agree with your post and I as well will not be reading the last chapters at least for a very long time as well I will not be purchasing the rest of the manga volumes nor reading anything else Kishimoto writes.

It is not about the pairings though in my mind from what I have heard I have to do a big WTF about possible secondary pairings, it is more about Kishimoto has betrayed everything I believed the manga was about and that alone makes me very sad.

the only thing Naruto has done for me now is by existing introduce me to a world of much better mangaka

I grieve at the shoddy conclusion to what until now has been an excellent manga

Been reading this nonsense here for a couple of days, I expect this kind of over reaction from others but here I thought people were more calm and thoughtful so I am just not going to visit again until sanity is restored. 

I really enjoyed the chapter this week I thought Kishi's art and plot were outstanding, the manga is proceeding as it should and I am sorry that this seems to elude most of you.

I remember coming home after choir practice on Thursday nights hoping that the chapter would be out though usually we had to wait until Friday morning....

the wait doesn't bother me at all it comes when it comes,after all my son wont read Naruto until the Viz volume is in his hands and I am forbidden to speak of it to him.

NS has been the endgame of the manga since chapter 13, (if not before) Kishi isn't confusing anybody they are confusing themselves

I think it is more the case that some people think it is poor writing and others like what Kishimoto is doing in the story.

you are in the former I however am more in the later, I have no complaints about the chapter in fact I enjoyed it. I have enjoyed the back and forth here though, it kept me amused while I was on vacation.

That is just sad, anyone who doesn't know the word means girlfriend has not read enough Shojo lol. Seriously though as someone who has struggled to learn Japanese I am grateful that some of you (Megi Ramen and others) would take the time to come to our little corner of the internet to help us with some of the nuances of the language.

I'm starting to think Kishi doesn't do any of his ambiguous crap on purpose he's just really really bad about being straightforward.

I find Kishimoto fairly straightforward... it seems to me to be just the fans that f__k things up

so how many times a year is it golden week? I've heard this excuse (reason? sry english is not my native language) before and it's definitely not a year ago.

Golden Week is the last week of April to the first week of May it is a string of 4 national holidays in Japan so most people just get the whole week off it occurs once a year of course as such but there are other breaks in manga production usuually due to other national Japanese holidays Oban festival and new years come to mind

all weekly manga are on break right now it is that big a deal in Japan :)

If you read One Piece you will realize this ritual makes them brothers, it is symbolic it is not Gaara asking Naruto to go out and tie one on with him lol

I don't know if it a shipping thing because I am a Naruto fan first not a NaruSaku fan though I firmly believe that is the ending of the story Kishimoto is writing but...

people here (and this is only my opinion) have an extraordinary fear of Sasuke. I don't like Sasuke as a character (again my opinion) but to think that Kishimoto favours him over the hero of the story is not understanding one of the fundamental truths of Naruto.

Naruto only already is : Predestined child, Jesus, Ashura, Kitsune, Forrest Gump(Never give up), Yin, Messiah.

Naruto is the HERO .... Kishimoto is following the standard HERO CYCLE it is all pretty basic stuff just with a lot of Japanese cultural references

it is all described in Joseph Campbell's The Hero with a Thousand Faces

I have had a love/hate relationship with One Piece since the time skip. Whilst I still read it every week in hopes of rekindling the feelings I used to have, it seemed more of a chore than the passion that made me want to own every volume (70 and counting on my shelf) 

However this week was Oda at his best I loved this chapter, The joy, the despair, the laughter. mere words cannot describe how excellent this chapter was.
