Well, I'm not sure what to make of it. XD There's a lot of Matrix-style stuff going on, but I can't shake off that "Corny B Movie" feeling. It was probably the 80's-style ninjas. *American Ninja flashback*

It doesn't look *that* bad
Though it *does* remind me of the new Dragonball movie, in the sense that it seems to be more theatrics and explosions, rather than staying True to the original series.
Edit: And WHOO. 4700th post! 8D
Getting steadily closer to that magical 5000th post >D

Okay...
Whatever that means.
Anyways, I think I'll be seeing this on day one. I like Stephen Sommers' movies, The Mummy/The Mummy Returns was good, IMO.

I have to ask, what exactly do you recall from the original series. Because if memory serves me right, GI Joe was about a military outfit that was set up to fight the terrorist group bent on world domination called "Cobra". They had a lot of high-tech weapons, vehicles, and over the top action. Pretty much what the trailer depicted.
So what exactly was everyone hoping for with a GI Joe movie?

Chillax dude
I never said that it didn't look good. Just that it reminds me more of those 'blow 'em up' kind of movies, that *are* fun to watch when you just want some high-explosive, high-octane action in your life ;3

Honestly I was trying to understand how you considered that trailer to be far removed from the scope of the Original series, because frankly there wasn't really much to GI Joe. I mean its not like it was Hamlet with M-16s.

"And knowing is half the battle."

There better be a public safety lesson at the end of the credits!

Lots of eye candy for male audience members too. Sienna Miller as the Baroness? >D

That's what I'm thinking. Generic 'blow 'em up' plot, but still entertaining if all you want is some good explosions

Especially if he has his TARDIS tucked in the corner of his plotting-world-domination room.
