Oh believe me, that one was way worse. If you was here that time, we had people going insane, tapping out, and so on. It was like hellfire. Most likely because that part did last a while, starting with Hinata putting her hand on Naruto's face for like 10 pages. So that's already hard enough for anyone to go.

Well let's be honest here. If we didn't have 631, I'm pretty sure right, no actually I can guarantee you now almost everyone would lose their minds.

So swallowing this moment isn't that bad.

It seems to be a game of fan appeasement at this point, if you are trying to pick at it, when it comes to pairings.

I reiterate the idea that we are going to have to wait until after this battle to finally get the answers the majority of the fandom desires.

Oh man, I just wrote that post a while back about it too. You know how in sports or any tournament of some sort that you need a lockup in order to stay safe. Like if I score ten points, I'll be safe from losing a point or come out as top 2 in my team. Naruto was heavily needed to let us know. Granted, we got more than we needed but hey, not our fault. In a way, if do it again, or perhaps worse, it's going to shatter. Still, what we got before, especially since this is most likely the last time Team 7 co-op, I, at least for me, felt nothing.

IMHO, that moment is the only thing keeping NS alive right now. I never thought I'd see NS on life support considering all the development, but after that damn 469 fiasco we went on a long break of NS moments (that had clear romantic undertones, at least). If that one chapter didn't exist, I would be convinced Naruto is over Sakura in a romantic way.

 

Anyway, what can be done to bring NS back as a convincing pairing when you have Sakura caring so much about what Sasuke thinks of her? I don't quite agree with people who think NS and SS need to be on equal ground so Sakura can choose Naruto over Sasuke. I don't see that being very convincing after everything that's happened. Did Kishimoto write himself into a corner when it comes to pairings? I do believe he did, and getting out isn't going to be easy, especially considering he admitted he isn't very good at writing romance.

This chapter Sasuke was rescued. It was natural that Obito and Sakura would be having to browse through other dimension to find him.  I found the world of acid a bit contrived, because it seemed like the only purpose of that was to get Sakura out of the ranking of being an alliance member.  She was the only one on team 7 wearing standard clothing other than Kakashi.  It started with her Alliance headband being melted in lava.  Honestly, she's getting like Naruto in the clothes department.  She really needs a chakra cloth in order to continue.  Overall this chapter though, Sakura shined in her own way like Kishimoto has done for her occasionally.

 

That final page, honestly, I'm just going to wait till next chapter to see the rest, because we know Sasuke.  We know Sasuke.  He doesn't do things without reason, and he isn't known for being gentle.  Let's see where this goes.  I'm more worried now than ever that he actually caught her.  I fully expected him to just let her fall.  I mean let's not pretend the previous chapters of ASS didn't happen.  Sasuke doesn't see people as comrades, but tools to take make use of.  SS fans can go crazy over this, but I'm 80% sure this is a troll.

To be honest when I saw the SS moment, I felt completely nothing. It's like the cover with Naruto and Hinata. Because if you look closely at that cover you find emptiness.

In today's chapter we have the classical Sasuke this guy:

No emotion at all. Nothing. Just Sasuke.

That's kind of a weak armor. I prefer actual moments to back up the pairing (like NH keeps getting) over parallels.

 

I don't consider a light-hearted moment in 631 a guarantee whatsoever.

How is it weak armor? You have Kushina telling her son not to pick a weird girl and find someone like his mother, Minato confirms that its Sakura, he then proceeds to give NS his blessing. On top of that Sakura never denied being Naruto's girlfriend like she did before. Its several layers of plot armor here. It was already established in 469 that she legitimately feels bad for ever loving Sasuke and overall flat out chose Naruto over him, 675 had Kakashi saying that she doesn't love Sasuke anymore, that just leaves one other person for her to have a relationship with at this point.

 

AS long as Sasuke holding Sakura won't be on the cover we'll be fine.

I think the bigger problem is that people got to assume. Listen, Kishi is known to exposition, he will tell you what to think of it. You can't assume it. You got to know what the writing is telling you to think or feel. I see the problem now and to be honest, I can't help it. That's like Izanami itself there. I would like to see anyone to talk to me without assumption and provide me what is to understand the moment. Please. Someone tell me now. No undertone. I want reasons. Do it now. I'll wait.

For those talking about sakura losing her gear, well I won't go one with symbolism on aspects here and there.

I mean it's not like when Sasuke lost his headband and it was starched by naruto during their clash in the valley of the end, that was symbolizing sasukes defection. Another one I can think of was a couple points in the fight with gaara, during the time whe hiruzen faced orochimaru, when he said whe a ninja has something worth protecting they become very strong, aka narutos love for sakura, another was after that fight gaaras left behind sand had a leaf fall into it, that symbolized the leaf and sand villages being allies in the future after he sand village surrendered to the leaf due to finding the kazekages body.

I don't think deals like her losing her forehead protector or flak jacket are symbolic of her losing a part of herself or going in a change. The forehead protector loss was to say that we could know what kagyua was capable of. Today it was a manner of just guess I would say action and showing a bit more on Sakura's power? It was not a major loss of anything to her.

Maybe she will get a new outfit in the fight if Kishi is intent on her joining? You never know. But if she is just in the under suit now, the normal leaf uniform or the dark blue underpart, it's not like she will keep losing stuff.

I mean if something related to chapter 3 ever comes back couldn't the new stuff in her forehead make naruto reveal that stuff,nh couldn't exactly say it all right now because of well the war.

Anyway I know a lot of NS fans didn't like 469. Because of different reasons, but the fact of the matter is this. Those few chapters showed us something very important, something that a lot people completely and utterly ignore. That Sakura cares about Naruto more than she does for Sasuke. To her, Naruto is more important. Again something that a lot of people ignore and just focus on "I hate people that lie to themselves".

 

NS has been alive since chapter 3. It never died and it never was close to being "killed" so to say.

Maybe the big annoucement could Kishi saying that Naruto will go on at least 2 more years x) Though I do think that it's the movie. I was already wondering why we didn't  have any information yet about it.

I wonder if the movie will be break the current status or have to follow what's already established, like no reincarnation power, Sasuke not home because well, plot, and so on. So if it's a movie, I do wonder on that one.
