The combat scenarios back in Part 1 were more grounded with a plethora of different styles at different ranges used; there was no certainty given in advance for who would win because the advantage continued to see-saw with Sasuke mastering his Sharingan and Naruto pursuing depths of the Kyuubi's power as his desperation to stop Sasuke increased. On the other hand, you can summarise this rematch down to chakra monstrosities clashing with each other. It doesn't have that raw, back-to-basics element that the original fight retained, despite the growing powers.
