Full Version: Chinese Anime vs Japanese Anime
Who cares?
It's all animated by Koreans.

But in all truthfulness, there's not a lot of differences. Both 'studios' are paid at least a 1/3 of what an American studio pays for voice-over, audio-editing and video-editing.
Now, in terms of animation/storyline, I can't say much. I don't think I ever saw a Chinese anime. And the anime I watch that comes from Japan is older then I. Sooooo...yeah.

But on the bright side, I hope this brings attention to the plight of animators in Japan.
Wow, now I know that the Simpsons was outsourced to Korea, but I didn't know that Japan was outsourcing also. Of course I always wondered about studio Pierrot, since the name sounds alot like its french.

There aren't many. I have a dvd set of a martial-arts novel inspired anime.
The only one I've seen so far.
As for animation, yeah, most of it is outsourced to Korea. But if you look closely at some anime credits, there are listings for Chinese companies.
As for Chinese animation, hell. I'm all for it. Romance of the Three Kingdoms is long overdue for an animated series (for being such an epic story)
I have no intent on taking sides, since most Chinese anime will probably be joint projects anyways. Two sides working for a series? Wonderful.

I have noticed the Chinese credits in a number of different animes, and I did wonder about them.

Aren't they releasing the Romance of the Three Kingdoms Anime this Spring? I know they hav two loosly inspired by the series also releasing but I'm sure I saw RotTK on a spring line-up poster as well. will have to see if I can find it.
