Okay so I wanted to get a tattoo for the longest of time. I wanted to get something that was both col and sexy at the same time.

I thought and looked, but I realised.....would anyone object to me getting Naruto's seal tattoo?

It's both awesome and sexy at the same time.

Ladies, would you think it is sexy if your BF or your love got one?

I am also going to get one more tattoo somewhere because me and my friends want to make a tattoo pack.

I would totally approved it if I was in you're girlfriend shoes happy.gif

I don't know if you have one but if you don't, that will be a good point for you anyway thumbsup.gif

This is a convo you'll have then:

Girl: "Oh, you have ink. What does it mean?"
You: "It's a symbol from a japanese cartoon I like"
Girl: "I think I hear my grandma calling, gtg"

Dude, seriously. If you want a tattoo, I suggest you get something you can live with for the rest of your life without sounding like an asshat explaining where it's from and what it is. One of my friends has Sasuke's curse seal (with Kakashi's repressive seal) tattooed to his neck, and he told me that after the fun of having a Naruto tattoo went away, he felt like an idiot for permanently imprinting that on his neck.

Then again, there are thousands of people with ALOT dumber tattoo's than this, and it's your body. If you think you can live with a tattoo like that, then by all means, you should get it. Just make sure you REALLY are willing to have it on you forever and ever and everever!

I don't have one. Tried to get one and failed each and every time. Maybe a tattoo will help.

I like it anyway.

Also think about this, the girl I am with will probably have to like Naruto as well otherwise it would never work out between us. I have a slight Naruto obsession as much as anyone else here. It's like....a girl dating a guy who likes the red socks.

Funny enough, ym friend who has several tattoo's only gets tribal tattoos that he sees in video games, this is not that much different. I am just looking at a different media.

As for whether getting one or not? I have no problem and tru'ly am willing to get one. Forever and ever....erm as long as I can hide it from my mother who despises tattoos.

Well, I did see something a lot stupider then this

example : tattoo that name of you're ex

At least, with that tattoo, it doesn't scream out loud Naruto if you don't mention it.

It true that a relationship is more likable if the two like same thing. However, the girl doesn't have to be as obsess about Naruto as you so that it could work. As long as she doesn't disapprove you're love for Naruto then it can still be good.

I mean, my ex was a total nut when it came to hockey. At first, I didn't really like it but 've started to watch some match time to time. Over the time, I started to like it (of course, not as much as he) and I began to understand why he like it so much.
SageNaru
I think you should do what you want man. I was gonna get the Anbu tatoo.

That's hot! Oh, I saw a picture of a guy with it online around his belly-button, it looked so cool xP I really want one, but'a i'm kinda under legal age at the moment, maybe i'll get an airbrush one... I think, as a girl, would look hotter on me then anyother guy lol xP I don't know why, it just would. I want one now dammit! O_O
tricksie
Where are you going to get it - on your stomach, big like Naruto? Or someplace else small, like a shoulder?

Also, what if this manga goes south and you hate the way it ends up? What if Naruto looks like a dork or falls for Hinata? What if Naruto falls for Sasuke?

Would you be still willing to have it if the manga goes wacko?

I think it's cool, I just think there's a lot that could change your opinion of how you view this manga, that's all.

However, you could get something that was a combination of your name with a spiral or a leaf pattern that is your own unique design. Something that you love that is completely your own. And whether the manga goes up or down, it will still be meaningful to you.

I could see a real life Naruto having some variation of his nindo tattooed on his arm or shoulder as a reminder to himself as to why he does things. Now, if I saw a guy like that...yeah, really sexy. (Believing in yourself is always sexy, mah dear.)

Anyway, best of luck.

And try it out with a permanent marker or henna before you get inked. Live with it a while before you choose to live with it forever.

True
I'm going to be brutally honest with you. This is a really a stupid f*cking decision that I'm not sure whether you're serious or trolling. Vyse said the only logical response.

Ten years from now are you going to really give a damn about Naruto? I was obsessed about Warhammer 40k and Gundam (still enjoy them) when I was a kid and I spent well over a thousand (well my parents money) dollars on merchandise and wasted much of my time on them with the rest of my friends. Would I get a Imperium of Man or Zeon tattoo because of it? Hell no.

You want to explain to people that you got a tattoo because you liked a Japanese cartoon? Go post this on /a/ and check what your responses will be as they are weaboo enough to recognize it; see what people who actually recognize will think and give you an honest opinion.

If you are trolling then it's not very funny. If you are serious, you'd be better off tattooing "NARUTARD" to your forehead.
Yakatsu
That's pretty Naruto-OG, OP.
Nee-sama
For once I totally agree with True. A tattoo is a committed decision. You should have an idea of what you want to have in mind for at least a year. This is not something you should do on impulse, nor to impress a girl. Is this the same girl who supposedly got pregnant from another dude and made you want to kill yourself over? I remember you posting that like two weeks ago. Be smart and if you decide to get a tattoo make sure it's meaningful or else it's a waste of your precious flesh and money.
Burning_Wulf
Gonna agree some with Nee-sama about getting the tattoo. Make sure you can live with and have no regrets about down the road. I look at tattoos as something personal about ones self. I've got several and took time to decide about each peice of ink I got. This is something you do for you and not to impress some girl or other people. But if you can live with the decision, then by all means get the ink. Cause it would kinda be a cool tattoo to have.

If your going to make a tattoo, think about yourself and how you are and then make a tatto with a symbol that represents it, not the things you like but you the person, Dang it tattoo a poem or the name of the one you like to show he/her how much they mean to you, just don't put something like a Naruto based tattoo or even something close to anime or manga.

One thing, people here don't warn you about, is after one, you want more. I have my right arm sleeved and now I want my left arm and back done up. Also, make sure they do it right. I love my tat, and I can't wait for the others when I acquire the money. Do it, and enjoy.

His own kids are going to look at it like it's a target.

"Shhhh, dad's sleeping."

"Five dollars says you can't hit dad's bullseye and make it out of the room before he wakes up."

And think about that tattooed kid from the pic in high school: Every jock in school is going to love pounding him in the gut because it's "target practice."

Wow, that is an extremely shallow thing to say. I thought guys were shallow....guess girls can be just as, if not more, shallow than guys. I thought females could never be shallow, but you all proved me wrong.

I guess girls can only have ass tattoos if you have nice asses right? I admit I don't exactly have a 6-pack, but I am not a "beer stomach" either. I don't drink beer...disgusting drink. I have no more muscle than Naruto to be honest. Slender, but slight muscle.

If I think about myself then no tattoo fits my criteria

I can't get indian tattoos because....well I am not indian.
I can't get religious tattoo's because I am not religious. More like agnostic.
I can't get warrior tattoos because I am not a warrior.
The only thing I can think of is Scottish tattoos, but I rather not look like braveheart.

If you guys don't want me to get it that's fine...I get it. I am not sexy enough for it.

I do have one tattoo. A symbolic tattoo about angels and demons.

Hey, at least I am not stupid enough to get my gf's face on my body only to break up with her a week later.

Unless......hmmm.....I have an idea.

Tried that....could not find the right one....besides what if Naruto's tattoo means something to me? Not just an anime reference. Like I said, my best friend has a tattoo from Prince of Persia.

As for writing someone's name on m body.....um no....that's even dumber than the Naruto tattoo. Also if I break up with her for some reason...then guess what I am stuck with?
Vyse
The Australian comedy group Tripod (You should all check them out btw) has a song called "If I Had A Tattoo", and in it they suggest to tattoo the alphabet, and circle the letters you need to spell out a name with a marker. Or of a faceless generic woman's body, only to draw the face of a girlfriend with regular ink. XD

First thing I thought: I think its pretty awesome to be honest. Besides its not the tattoo that makes the person, so if people think its nerdy to have a tattoo of Naruto's seal and want to avoid you then its their loss, they could be missing out on a great friendship. Bottom line, if you like Naruto and want a tattoo of his seal, but you don't want the ridicule from certain people, then you can take the good with the bad or none at all. Then again, I think you can get tattoos removed just like they were never their or something like that. So it might not be so permanent.

There is more to the symbol than just a love for the Naruto manga....

The symbol has deeper meaning to me. Like, even if you have a demon locked inside doesn't mean you can't be a hero. I am not what everyone thinks I am, but I am everything someone wants me to be.

People think I only getting the tattoo for a shallow reason, but in truth I want to get for a much more deeper meaning. If people cannot accept that, then I can be just like Naruto....a symbol of someone who is shunned yet still the hero everyone needs.

if you thinkl your going to regreet it when your 90 dont do it

but do what truly makes you happy and you wont get bord of in the next couple years

Where tattoos are considered: To each his own.

Getting one is not about what everyone else thinks it cool; as long as it has meaning to you it will be a great decision. As long as your love for the idea of it won't fade, I would tell you to go for it.

So what if it's from a manga/anime? You can always bullsh** if you're too embarassed, or just be honest. You're getting inked because of an ideal or symbol that has meaning to yourself. What one thing means to someone can be very different to another.

Personally, I like the idea. I think Naruto's seal is hot tongue.gif the good news is it would be in a place where you could keep it covered if need be. Hell, no one would know unless you'd show them.

As for the belly thing.. I think what they were trying to say is that a tattoo on someone who is a bit bigger is considerably unflattering. It would only highlight.. Shall we say.. A problem area and focus on a negative aspect. Moving on..

The decision is ultimately yours. I have XIV on my left arm (14 is an auspicious number for me tongue.gif), and angel wings on my back. I regret neither because I put alot of time and thought into each one before getting them done. If you do decide on it, make sure to post so we can see smile.gif

I don't plan on living that long, but would anyone really still care when they're 90? If I get to that age, will I even be able to show it off to anyone? I sure as hell won't pull any more chicks by showing of my ink on my (close to-) dead sexy senior citizen-body.

I'm not saying I haven't played with the idea of getting animu-tattoo's myself (I've thought about getting a Triforce from Zelda, as well as the demon-mark Gutts from Berserk has which bleeds whenever an evil spirit is close), but I usually decide it's not for me. If anyone think they can be happy with that though, then I say it's alright. Just don't do anything you'll regret, because getting rid of tattoos is both expensive and painful (unless you cover it with another one; then it's just expensive).
