Newkerz

Junpei Kōsaka is a second-year high school student who despises cats and has an allergy to them. It just so happens that his high school crush is Kaede Mizuno, a girl who adores cats. One day, while walking home from school, Junpei kicks an empty can and unfortunately beans the local neko-jizō-sama (guardian deity of cats). He finds he can now understand what cats are saying, including his family's own ill-tempered cat, Nyamusasu. However, if he does not grant 100 wishes from cats, he will turn into a cat himself.

Nyankoi!

A very hilarious anime!!! probably one of the most hilarious animes I've ever seen!!! it also has good pacing as well probably a bit better than the manga in terms of pacing. However, I recommend not reading the manga first because it takes out some of the laughs.

Here's the manga in case you're interested...

Here's a DDL: [gg]Nyan Koi!

The plot doesn't seem very interesting but since it's made by AIC I'll check it out.

The series is a decent watch, it's got a nice amount of comedy in it to make it worth it.

Story - 6/10 - It's a little better than your average story. Nothing earth shattering. A guy (Junpei) gets cursed by cats and now has to help them if he wants to break the curse. The biggest problem is that he's allergic to them.
Comedy - 7/10 - Nice amount, get at least one or two good laughs from each episode, though nothing particularly mind-blowing.
Romance - 7/10 - Harem, or quasi-harem. Of course the girl Junpei likes is totally oblivious at first, the required childhood friend (the hot one that -Junpei- is totally oblivious to, naturally) is crushing on him, and there are the other random extras tossed in that 'like' him, but its more of a psychotic 'be with me or else' thing.
Animation - 7/10 - Most of the time the animation is fine, proportions are well done. Nothing is spectacular, though... and there is no real action in it, it's mostly talking and facial expressions.
Ecchi Factor - 6/10 - Few obligatory pantsu shots here and there, most of which are mildly censored. Nothing over the top, and it's tastefully done. In other words, its not ecchi just to be ecchi.
Overall - 7/10 - If you have some time to kill and wouldn't mind watching a fairly comedic anime, then go ahead. If you don't have the time, then you probably aren't missing a whole lot.

I've been reading the manga and my fave character is that Yamanba. She's so awesome, but she's not gonna get Junpei unfortunately. XD
Paradox Jast
Yeah. In these harem-type situations, the guy typically always gets the one he focuses on the most. Or at least that's what would seem to make the most sense. So unless we get thrown a curve, he'll end up with Kaede.

This season ended on a positive note. I found that I rather liked the entire season, there were only one or two episodes that I was 'meh' about. Overall I found myself smirking at several things in each ep, if not laughing outright.

The end of the episode confirms that there will be a season 2, so I guess we can probably expect it for the Fall 2010.
