With only 4 episodes of Shippuden left this year including two 1 hour specials on the 29th of November and the 20th of December the first year of the Shippuden anime is coming to a close. The anime has been in my opinion better than the first batch episodes of the original Naruto anime mainly due to all the filler that was in that series (the 85 episodes of filler before Shippuden not withstanding). It's looking promising and I can't wait to see how the newer arcs will look animated.

Hrm, I didn't really watch it, but I do not like how they changed some scenes. But I'll say "don't care."

I'll say it was a hit. I actually like some of the filler that was added into Naruto Shippuden, unlike some of the filler from the first Naruto series. True, the Clone fights were a bit off at some points, but that was more because of all of the budget cuts they made.

But everyother filler was fine IMO, and was nothing to get all worked up about. But some people can never be pleased, taking every little thing they can whine about. But I choose to accept what I am given, enjoying it despite very minor things like filler, which as I already stated isn't always bad.

So I will continue to enjoy Naruto Shippuden, waiting for some of my favorite scenes from the manga, so that I can see how they animate it. And when the time comes that Viz FINALLY starts getting to the point where Naruto Shippuden Boxsets begin to come out, I will buy them without thinking twice, though money might prevent me for awhile.

So all in all, Naruto Shippuden is great. Even better then the first series thanks to its more serious tone, with music that helps it have that darker tone. And that is all.

I like the series up to now very much, there were some boring episodes, but overall I really enjoyed it, and it seems to be getting better. So I'd say its a hit

it's sorta both, for me, the first thing I target was the animation quality, and only in the recent episodes have they stepped up in the quality.

So only the seconds season so far has what I'll call 'Shippuuden Quality'

I must say the amine has truly redeem themselves from the horrifying fillers. These fillers in Shippuden is actually worth wild and plus, I must admit the amine is actually better than the manga. Most likely we could be having another filler arc after Sasuke & Sai (if the aminators are up to it and believe Kishi needs more time before they catch up with the manga) cant wait for more installment!

ooh fillers... bleh, and if anything the fillers might be AFTER Asuma arc. Team 7 trying to cheer Team 10 up or something...

There were parts where the animation was disappointing (E.g. Team Gai vs their clones), but really, the others all look pretty gd. I loved the Sakura Chiyo VS Sasori battle. Excellent animation, honestly, I can't wait for four tail Naruto.

Just gotta love pwning that snake teme.

I'd say hit for the most part. Some enjoyable filler (Team Gai vs their clones being the only one we really could've done without), good music, and a kickass first opening. I'd say even the animation has been more solid than Part 1. There hasn't been a single episode even close to as bad as some of the Part 1 ones (like ep29, the one with the infamous "Good Naruto, you look kind of cool!"...)

Oh, and we've sure gotten a lot of 1-hour specials.

I like the Shippuden series...as for my fav. eps. I liked when Team 8 was introduced and the ep. where Naruto went KT4.(Is that how you say it? When he became Kyuubified with 4 tails...)=\

Even though the fighting has been disappointing so far (other than Gaara Vs. Deida... ok Deidara Vs anyone), I have to say it's been funnier than the first series. They crack more jokes, and the dumb characters are dumber than before... its awesomer really. Also, secrets held through the entire part one has been revealed early on in part two. That's kinda awesome as well.

Well, I'll say it was a hit, simply because there are more hit points then miss points, but compared to the first series so far, I think percentage-wise, of the episodes we've had so far, only a handful are drawn very well. Music has grown on me, and the drawing in the non-fighting scenes are drawn very well these last few episodes.

Overall, I say HIT!!!

Great animation (like in Episode 1 and 2) but some were terrible at some episodes, great music, some fillers and expansion were great (except for some like the Team Gai episode filler).

The later episodes I'm beginning to enjoy since the animation has been a bit better, but all in all I haven't really felt it's been that great. Grievances:

Sakura has no curves & has a body like a box
I don't like Naruto's voice acting and animation, seems forced

The part one anime IMO was much more compelling

I agree with chu on those two parts. Sakura DOES have curves! Get it right animators! DDDD:

But overall, I have to say it was a hit. Love the music.

I've started watching shippuden just this week, cos i'm a new fan. Well, Shippuden is ok. After those horrible fillers (that i didn't even watched) anything is ok tbh.

But i think that there are some bad things too... so i'll write it down

I don't read the manga, so my opinion is based on the anime only, but just look at how little Naruto improved from the training with Jyraia... i was expecting for more.

And also, it seems that his temper, one of his weakness, is worst than it was before, with people shoving him all the time. He doesn't need to be a cold hearted, but he must give raesons to be shoved by Kakashi and Sakura all the time.

Storyline could be better... that's how i feel.

Sakura haves curves, she just has a very complex jacket that hides them !D:
