This was an idea put together by algernon.

Just what it sounds like.

This is roughly the one-year anniversary of my membership here (ignore the join date on this account ), and I kinda wanted to do something about it, so I thought maybe we could have an official day set aside to show appreciation for our amazing admins/mods.

So, I propose that for tomorrow (March 2nd), everyone makes a point to go out of their way to show those eleven people how thankful we are for the job they do, and I think it would be cool if it was an annual thing (though they DO deserve thanks all the time). I'm not sure that I suggest PM-ing them because that would just overflow the inbox, but whether through email, or LC, or some other way, I encourage everyone to show some love to them. Every single one of the "staff" of H&E has always been ready and willing to help the members both technically and as a friend, not to mention the efforts they are always putting forth to not only maintain the integrity of the site, but also to improve it. Whenever there are downtimes, or consistent lag issues, or other things, they've ALWAYS been very prompt in trying to find a solution. Besides... we just got LC, which, as most of you should realize by now, is basically the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Whether through the various contests organized, LC, the site tweaks, or any number of things that I have no idea about that still goes on behind the scenes, H&E is ALWAYS improving, and that's all because of the dedication and integrity of our admins and mods. So I say hats off for the Super-Special-Awesome-Chocolatey-Coated Goodness that is our Admods (tired of typing that all out )!!

If you want to show appreciation in this thread, go right ahead, but I still think it would be nice to show some kind of personal touch to them in addition. Also, if anyone has any more tangible ideas to add (like if we could actually DO something for them?) throw it on the table! I'd love to be able to do something more, but I'm at a loss as to what that might be...

Anywho, I hope you guys think this is a good idea, kinda seems puny when compared to what the Admods do for us (one day a year? that's it? am I kidding?), but I guess this can be a start.

Why haven't you think of this sooner?

Once again, A VERY BIG thank you to you eleven people! A Big GLOMP for the girls, and a MANLY handshake for the men! (because we ALL know that men don't glomp other men. XD)

Hey! This IS a great idea! administration usually gets left in the dark for forums, and underappreciated.
As for how to show the appreciation...umm....I'm not too sure either. Maybe if each of them had a fanfic or fanart request, the rest of the members could cater to the requests of the Kage's and ANBU here. Maybe something like 'The Hokage/ANBU fanfic and fanart Fair' and then the rest of the site can vote for the members or something, but only the kage and anbu get to pick the topics. (They could even be more specific if they want too, instead of simply a 'key word.')

But really, thank you all admin/mod types for everything you've done for this board and us. (sigh. yes krisk, even you. )

Even though this is a low-drama board there's still a lot of behind-the-scenes things that have to be done, and thank you all for doing them.

I'm glad that you guys are happy here and enjoy yourself on this board. Really, that's all I want when I do this.

I also want to offer thanks to my fellow moderators for not only making this such a great place but for trusting me enough to help keep it running.

Thank you very much, everyone, for all the kind words.

While, as joint founder of the H&E board with Hoku, my role can be quite demanding, I have had fantastic support from my fellow Kages and ANBUs. Thank you so much, guys, without you I would probably have gone mad quite a while ago.

It's also nice to see that we have such a good community. We are always growing, always expanding, yet I think we still have our important values right at the heart of H&E. This is still a close community.

We don't have massive traffic like, say, NarutoForums, but we're easy to find for NaruSaku fans! Hell, all they have to do is search "NaruSaku" on Google and we're right at the top! We're second when you search "naruto x sakura"... beaten by Hoku's NF NaruSaku club. XD (just you wait, Hoku... lol)

As always, we're striving to improve H&E. Sometimes it can take hours of hard work to keep this site in top shape, but it can be worth it when you see people enjoying the place.
