The MacBook Wheel lets consumers accomplish everyday tasks like typing with just a few dozen spins and clicks of a wheel. xDDD
The Tax-Man
Good job Apple. rolleyes.gif

Uh... we kinda do it already in our old iPod Nanos. What's so new? They just put the wheel on the old Nanos in a laptop. facepalm.png

"Future of laptop technology." ...my arse.

Idiots. Why not focus on the transparent LCD or touchscreen tablets with full PC capabilities rather than this bullsh*t false advertising? I mean seriously. People need to stop and think before being awed by old crap and buying overpriced goods that have nothing new in them other than advertising. That's seriously all apple is. They have done nothing whatsoever to help the development of technology. And yet here we are. People actually believing it. We're probably about 10 years ahead, in terms of real development, of what the general public thinks is 'latest' technology. And that is mostly because of companies like Apple that don't do sh*t.

lol - this is a joke. Long Live the Onion!

Seriously, if you're going to go for apple concept products these are better siuted to the Naruto audience:

Oh and I'm an idiot. facepalm.png

Naw don't worry about it! biggrin.gif

But if you really want to see some amazing technology that is still developing you should check out this vid from the TED talks. It's about wearable technology that frees the user from the display screen, making anything be the window for your content: a newspaper, an airplane ticket, your wrist (point the device at your wrist and it projects a watch!). This stuff will be revolutionary.

Funny thing is, I've known with that for a long time. My mother is developing prototypes at the University of Toronto. So... I heard that, like, five years ago. It's actually simpler than one might think. tongue.gif

I think this is in the wrong section... but that computer looks stupid, I'll stick to my HP

I agree, it's not innovative at all.

Gang, the Apple thing is a joke. It is not real. It was a video from The Onion, a wonderful satire publication/media outlet, a couple of years ago.

And sadly, the iPod shuriken is a fake too. But one can dream....

@ tax-man, that TED talk was from two years ago. So if your mom develops new tech, then yeah, she'd be in the know about it ahead of the conference.

My point was as far as emerging technologies, this is on the horizon. Something wearable that frees users from the device, most importantly the need for a screen. Once that becomes mainstream... Man. And, just like Apple stuff, it will become something we didn't know we needed.

As far as Apple goes, I think of it like a Formula 1 car or super car in a computer. Fantastic for the hardcore things you need get done. But not so great driving back and forth to the store. And, just like a super car, most people look at the price tag and dismiss it as overrated/overpriced. But if you race cars, then a honda or a ford or a whatever-you-drive-to-the-store just won't cut it.

And yes, if you must know, my Mac eats other computers for breakfast. But don't worry, I'm not interested in changing anyone's viewpoint about Apple.

Actually that also depends on what you mean with "hardcore things you need get done" if you're talking about art kind of thing like making/editing AMVs, graphical design, presentations then I would readily agree with you, very little other brands can compete with apple when it comes to that.

but if you're talking about hardcore gaming or work processors, I would have to disagree, as far as document processing and work utilities or gamings are concerned, Windows and Linux are still leaps and bound ahead of apple in compatibilities, ease of use and much more.

lol - yeah, I meant professionally: high-end design, animation and illustration, video editing, sound mixing, etc., etc., etc. Apple's intuitive usability makes life easier. I don't game, so that never comes to mind. But I know gamers love the freedom of linux, etc., over apple.

Im shocked by the number of people who thought this was true xD

It would take centuries to write anything, for that matter. I still prefer the key board. We're already so used to it, that it's more simple to just stick with it than resort to using a wheel and button.
The Tax-Man
Or a touchscreen keyboard tongue.gif

I guess apple has ran out of ideas. facepalm.png
The Tax-Man
That isn't anything new considering they're always out of real ideas.

And you just ruined it by spoiling it so soon. :/
