Nothing really unexpected...


It's likely a set up so that chapter 500 will be Kyuubi and Naruto working together... or Naruto having full control. On the bright side... we'll finally get to see Kyuubi as itself in action! Or at least I hope so.

The chapter was very good but nothing was mentioned about Sakura or Sasuke for the matter bummer.

I've been expecting Naruto to have to beat the Nine-Tails in a fight for a while now. If it's even half as epic as Naruto's fights against Pain's Summons, it'll be awesome.

While we all knew how Naruto was going to defeat his Dark half, it was still heartwarming to see. The fact that the Dark Naruto was so scared of being useless was nice, too. It really shows that he's another part of Naruto, not just a figment.

it was still a good chapter i think. i think the next few chapters are finally going to start picking it up and get really good. then like you said, chapter 500 is gonna be amazing!

Yes, I think that next chapter might be a little slow as well, probably an introduction/explanation from Bee as to what Naruto will have to do, with maybe a scene or two of other characters. But 500 will likely be the big one.

As for when Dark Naruto disappeared, it looks like it's eyes changed before it disappeared, I guess it accepted what 'Light' Naruto said before it merged.

Well this chapter was okay. The next one really has me excited, It's like their in some kind of special shrine or temple that takes them directly to the Kyuubi and possibly the Hachibi too all in one place. I hope this means we may see Minato again and the scroll frog as well.

Next chapter is going to be epic!

I was disappointed the dark Naruto/normal Naruto interaction didn't mention Sakura or Sasuke but i think that was because Naruto, in order to defeat his dark self, had to rely solely on himself, his own strength, and his own confidence. His self worth had to come from within instead of from his team mates in order to get rid of the dark Naruto.



I love how Naruto has such a variety of mentors, and now Killer Bee will enter that group. It seems like a lot of Naruto's strength comes from all that variety of training and exposure.

Aw I think it was pretty heartwarming despite being a 'meh' chapter for me too. Made me chuckle when Killer said "Fo' shizzle!" when Yamato wanted to come with them.

Wah, half of the chapter seemed like nonsense D: While Naruto's signature was cute, I still felt really bored by the rapping...

Great chapter, love seeing Bee and Naruto hanging out together, plus, I'm glad Naruto pulled off defeating his innerself without being too mushy.

Ha! Ha! That chapter was great. Seeing Naruto rap once again was just priceless and am I the only one that thinks Killer Bee is kinda like the Samuel L. Jackson of the Naruto universe because of the way he talks?

As soon as I saw that room and read that line, I came about five quarts and half my intestines. This is the third most thing I've ever wanted to see happen within the Naruto universe, behind Naruto handing Sasuke his ass on a platter, and Naruto getting married to Sakura. Next week is going to come SOOOOOOOOO SLOWLY!!!

I just hope Kishi delivers with a good series of Naruto-centered chapters, and not just page after page of DBZ style powerups.

I'm absolutely certain the former was the fan translators exaggeration- they do that all the time, inserting foul language where in Japanese the words used were nowhere near that. They also will put in harsher curseword that what the actual ones used translate to. It's rather annoying.

I agree mangastream does that a lot. It's kind of the same thing when involves the pairings development and they missytranslate the raw dialogue.

I'm probably pretty much the only one who thinks Naruto's rapping is awesome.

Kyuubi's 'defeat' will likely be something akin to what Killer Bee has with his bijuu. They can only really come to an understanding and work together. Kyuubi will likely resist as much as it can until Naruto proves he's capable of being some manner of 'strong'.

Though you also have to go back and wonder, when Kyuubi talked to Sasuke... why did it tell him not to kill Naruto or else he'd regret it? Kyuubi apparently knows a lot more than it has let on so far.

You know I just realized that when Naruto faces off against the Kyuubi, it's going to be like when Minato faced off against him, kind of ironic huh?

I have to ask this. Only half of the demon fox's chakra is inside Naruto correct? We know he could defeat anybody, probably even Madara, if he went Nine-tails.

If half of the Nine-tails is that powerful, I would what a full strength Nine-tails looks like. Probably has the power to destroy the world 50 times over.

Only makes you wonder how powerful the ten tails really is if he's really all of the nine Bijuus combine together.

The ten-tailed was trapped in the place we call the "Moon" using the technique that pain used on Naruto.

If you became the ten-tails...I would pretty much say that would make you God. More or less the ability to create and destroy anything and everything in the blink of an eye. To think, no one could beat the full nine-tails without dying and even then they could only harness it, not kill it.

My guess is probably what catsi563 mentioned, that the nine-tails can get freedom if it can dominate Naruto's spirit. In which case, the warning to Sasuke is more like, "if you try to kill Naruto and fail, you will regret it when I do get free."

In hindsight, should've known that Naruto wasn't going to defeat his aggressive side by fighting. This issue kinda reminded me of "The Enemy Within", the Star Trek episode where Kirk gets split into his good and bad parts. Except we find out that it isn't quite so black & white.

If Naruto dies Kyuubi dies with it, but if Kyuubi takes full control over Naruto then Naruto dies and Kyuubi is reborn. The Kyuubi is sealed within him but he only has half the power in his control, I believe other half locked inside of him, somewhere...

This is most likely why Kyuubi said that. If Sasuke kills Naruto then Kyuubi dies too, that's also why Danzo wanted to kill him or send him to the Moon; so Madara wouldn't get his hands on him.

I'm having a hard time believing that was true though. I think Rikudou sealed the ten-tails inside him and before he died, he sealed it inside his youngest son who founded the Senju clan, due to the kindness and power of the body his youngest son had. It helps explain why the power of the tails was divided up and given to different nations as a peace offering, if i remember correctly, or was it Rikudou who divided the tailed beast before he died?

No, I think he gave the title as leader of the Senju to his youngest son and divided the tails before then.

Do wut? The sons went their own seperate ways and formed their own clan names from what i read.
