From now on, any and all new stories will automatically be published. This means that when you add a new chapter or story, it will be available for everyone to read without delay. :)
This decision has been taken because it has been too time-consuming to validate perfectly good stories, and I am sure the delays have disappointed authors and readers alike. For that, we are sorry.
Of course, we will still check out newly published stories to ensure that they are suitable for the Library and have the correct ratings. Also, please double-check your stories before you submit them by using the preview feature! Remember that you cannot use CSS or advanced HTML to format your stories.
Tonight, I will be clearing the backlog of stories in the validation queue.

Alright, it was found that the reason the Categories and Featured Stories were not displaying on the home page was because the skin was not compatible!
I have now uploaded a couple of new skins and set the default to the Marauder skin. :) You can change skin either by using the Switch Skin box at the bottom left of this page, or by going into Account Info -> Edit Personal Information and changing it there.
More skins may be uploaded later tonight, so keep an eye out! As always, if there are any bugs, please PM me or any of the other mods on the boards. ^_^
The Library has now been upgraded to eFiction 2.0.4 and the IPB database merge has hopefully been fixed. :) After we moved servers, there were some bugs involving using H&E member accounts on the Library.
I have also tweaked the layout a little, hopefully making some things clearer and better spaced. Author's Notes have also been shifted to the bottom of the chapter - so readers can see the beginning of the story right away, and writers can include all they want in their notes without pushing the story down. ^_^
If anyone has ANY difficulties in using the Library, whether reading, uploading, reviewing, or anything else, PLEASE inform me as soon as possible by:
* PMing me on the boards.
* Posting in the Council Hall forum on the boards.

It is my pleasure to announce that all the bugs I have been made aware of, are now dead!
After informing him of the problem, eyedam was very quick in providing a fix (thanks again). I have since installed and tested the fix (both on admin and non-admin level), and none of the problems cropped up again.
Now, to view MA-rated fics (if you are old enough!), you will need to do the following:
1. Go to Account Info
2. Click Edit Personal Information
3. Select "Yes" on Age Consent
4. Save Changes
This WILL save correctly, and you will be able to see the setting clearly. All the bugs were simply caused by the old system's inability to save the age setting.

I would like to inform all authors that any new fanfics submitted will undergo a screening by H+E staff. :)
This is to ensure that we maintain a good level of quality in this archive and hopefully avoid the pitfalls FF.net has experienced.
Do not worry, any problems will be handled in a friendly and helpful manner. :) As long as your story is perfectly readable, there should not be any problems!
There might be a little delay between submitting and publication, but people have expressed they don't mind the delay as long as the Library's quality is maintained. Hopefully, all submissions will be checked as swiftly as possible.

Thanks to desaix for bringing this to my attention, I have now changed the ratings system to the one published by Fictionratings.com. :)
I have now acquired a free license from the above site, and we are now allowed to use their system. They will request checks every three months, so please make sure you rate your stories correctly!
Here is a list of the ratings and what they mean:
K - Content suitable for most ages.
K+ - Some content may not be suitable for young children.
T - Contains content not suitable for children.
M - Contains content suitable for mature teens and older. (This rating will require you to be logged in)
MA - Contains explicit content for mature adults only. (This rating will require you to be logged in)
Now, MA requires that adults certify they are of age to read the content. If you are of the age of consent in your locale, you can click OK on the pop-up to read the fic. But if you are not, you must not enter the fic! If you are on the pop-up, hit Cancel!
Understand, however, that by clicking OK to enter a MA-rated fic, you are declaring that you are at least 18 years old. By entering MA fanfictions, you are demonstrating your opinion that the material contained in those stories is not obscene or offensive, nor could it ever be construed to be so.
If you are offended by said material, it is up to you to not return to the MA fanfictions.
Terms of Service will be added to the Help Section later today as soon as I am able to write them.
We have had reports of bugs that did not emerge in my testing, and I will work to resolve them as soon as possible. :) When uploading stories, please try to ensure they are text or clean HTML (only use the code between body tags, strip away the "body" tags and everything else)!

Here, you can read NaruSaku stories that members of the Heaven & Earth boards have written. ^_^ Feel free to upload stories, review, and add stories to your favourites, even set up an e-mail alert to tell you when a story has been updated!
Mature themes are allowed on this archive, just make sure that you rate your stories M or MA if they contain mature themes! Lemons MUST be rated MA and contain warnings of sexual themes.
Also, this archive has the ability to hold round robins! Simply enable the Round Robin option when uploading your first chapter, and that will allow other writers to add to your story. :)
Lastly, I would like to assert that no yaoi or yuri pairings are allowed. We are not being anti-yaoi/yuri. We're just non-yaoi/yuri, and would prefer to avoid being flooded with SasuNaru/KakaIru fanfics.
To submit a story, simply click "Account Info" on the left menu, and you will get a new menu on which you can select "Add New Story". You can either use the built-in text editor or upload your story. :)
