Nemesis and Apathy.

You watched.

Two of the most important people in your life.

You watched both of them.

Uchiha Sasuke...

Since childhood, you loved and adored that boy, he was your world. Nobody existed while he was there. He was cold, unsocial, dark and skilled. To you he was perfect. A god among the mortals.

Those were passing thoughts. Fading dreams, childish dreams. Faces building themselves in your psyche and crumbling away, masks left to gather dust in the closets.

He was out of your league, like a subtle but fierce memory that encircled your mind and your entire body. You still act like he was the only one you love.

You don't know anything.

You know nothing about Sasuke.

And that why...you failed him.

Uzumaki Naruto...

Since childhood, you hated and despised the boy, he was the source of your anger. He was a nobody and a nuisance. To you he was everything you don't want to be. A simple mortal among gods of the night : Shinobi.

Those were passing thoughts. Fading dreams, childish dreams. Faces building themselves in your psyche and crumbling away, masks left to gather dust in the closets.

He has traveled your entire world, know it better than anyone, let all his footprints everywhere and you still act like he was the only one you hate.

Yet again, you don't know anything.

You know nothing about Naruto.

And that why...you failed him too.

Suddenly things started to look different. Time was more precious. That day, your whole team began wanting what they could not have.

Itachi's acknowledge.

Sasuke's acknowledge.

That day, you saw your mortality. You didn't have much time to find what to do.

That why you asked Tsunade's help.

You wanted to be stronger. To protect the rest of your and teammates innocence.

Team Seven.

Yet...

This Year is when you really get to know Naruto and Sasuke more than you ever wished. You start to learn and understand their heart better. Sasuke is a man now, a man at once both chained and empowered by his family name. Naruto is now a man too, he understands his responsibilities and yet wants desperately to escape them. From the beginning their fate has been arranged for them.

The Senju clan and Uchiha clan.

Fire and hatred.

Naruto and Sasuke.

You don't have a word on that chapter of history.

You are just a normal person, an observer who view an ultimate battle without anything to say or to do.

To do huh...

What a nonsense.

The only thing you had ever done was crying and being selfish.

You only realize it now, after you told Naruto your "feelings".

Your kindness is cruel.

As you bite your lip and asked him forgiveness without saying it out loud.

You know what awaits you.

Your former first love death and surely yours.

Everything flowed in your mind. Every single memories, every single feelings and moments of team seven. The blood was shed, his and your for eternity.

You don't know how or what happened but...

Uchiha Sasuke was death.

By your hands.

The ground and your hands were covered in red.

You can't move, your are paralyzed.

You can only see Sasuke lying there, breathless.

With only darkness.

Naruto was there, next his best friend corps.

He would never look you in the eyes like before.

There was no sparks in his eyes.

There was no butterflies in his stomach.

There was no hate.

There was no love.

Apathy.

Tears poured out of your eyes, weeping while screaming out loud.

You have lost your hate.

There would be no more Sasuke-kun.

You have lost your love.

There would be no more Sakura-chan.

You have lost everything.

In the end, even with all the hard work you have done...you couldn't save anyone.
