In Topic: The NEW NaruSaku Debate Thread

26 September 2014 - 11:40 AM

Hello Heaven and Earth!

I am a new user- and just to be clear, I will post on this site very rarely. The only time I'll post is to reply or when I feel I got something BIG on my mind. I do frequently stalk this forum, (you guys are a very insightful bunch), and I just want to throw in my two cents on this chapter because I feel something BIG approaching. And nobody realizes this possibility.

Please read- this could bring back some hope for some of you:

I know everyone here is pretty disappointed in Sakura, and I was too after reading this issue. Not so much because of the feeling in her confession but because it doesn't make sense.

Everyone reading this issue should be surprised- angry- bewildered- disappointed- thoughtful- overjoyed - (or indifferent if they really don't care about the story.)

A majority of the fandom has provoked an interesting reaction. The kind any writer would want to keep his readers anxious for more.

What makes this even greater is that many of you don't realize- the possibilities.

I'm not saying I'm right, I'm not trying to make a promise...I'm just bringing up a possibility.

(the only reason I read this manga is for the Narusaku. Nothing else. I don't care for the slow and butchered storyline of Kishis- the only thing in here I find the most interesting and developed is Narusaku. So don't expect me to say much about the manga storywise. I started reading at the start of the war arc- I've looked over every NS moment in the manga - I find Sakura's character very complex: and I stand by her the most because of how underrated and misunderstood she is in the fandom.

Let's all talk about some POSITIVE WHAT-IFS. I'll start. This came to me after reading a post on Tumblr.

What if Sakura's confession is a LIE? (This is not the first time she's manipulated a scenario)

What if she is planning something?

What if she was testing Sasuke?

One thing I know this manga is famous for is the face panels- to me, Kishi is good at showing expression- and panels enlarged on a characters face is a sign of significance. Look back on this issue (I don't know how to post images). Before Sakura's 'confession' we see a page featuring her emotions. Of confusion, sadness and then...rage. Something different.

You were probably hoping that she'd do something brave like tell of Sasuke or fight him. I was hoping for that too.

But instead we see her pouring out the last bit of energy she has. Her desperation to bring back Sasuke- and we don't get to see her face immediately either, just a back view.

In those panels that showed her changes in emotion- isn't there also a panel of Naruto looking to the side. Is he looking at her? I think so, because Sasuke is in front of him. He's thinking too- it looks as if he's expecting a reaction from someone, but isn't too sure, and Sakura speaks her mind quite often. Than in the next panel she looks sad- but it also looks like she's pondering. "What can I do?"

And than the rage face- she is mad, but maybe she also has an idea.

One beautiful thing about how her back is turned in the next panel is that we can't read her expression. We don't know what it is. It could be anything. We see her face again and she's screaming out her feelings. Before going on, she has a flashback of her first confession to Sasuke- right at the scene when Sauske said 'thanks'.

What happened after Sasuke told her thanks- after that first confession? He knocked her out. (I don't know if it's a genjutsu or whatever) And she remembers it now- it seems important that she does, flashbacks are significant in the manga.

Than she pours out feelings, screaming with rage. But...I can't help to shake the feeling that she's forcing herself to say all these words. Anything could be happening here, but it's possible she is tempting him. Finally, Sasuke calls her annoying, and places a genjutsu on her.

As I've heard, Sakura can break free from a genjutsu fairly easily. But her final expressions afterward- SHOW NO SIGN OF SURPRISE OR SHOCK. It's like she expected him to do this.

And I've read elsewhere that there is still an issue going on regarding Madara's eyes, and Sasuke.

If my predictions are correct, Sakura might wake up and get some work done. Because Sasuke left with Naruto- he's out of the way now.

Sasuke made it clear he was going to leave with Naruto. Kakashi tried to stop him, but couldn't; then our eyes were darted at Sakura.

And she probably had an idea. Hoping that if she provoked Sasuke enough he'd either change his mind- or repeat what he did in the past. Thinking he left her in the dust after his attack, he doesn't know that when she wakes up she'll follow the rest of her plan through. She will leave with the other guys to do something, while Naruto fights Sasuke- buying her some time.

Boom! A possibility! List some more everyone. Study her face and see if you can find something out.

Do any of you Narusaku fans have faith in Sakura- the heroine- to do something this clever? Have you forgotten that she doesn't trust Sasuke- and every moment between those two- their expressions- is still significant? Kishi has surprised this fandom several times- don't be surprised if he does it again. We have not seen the full potential of her new power- she tried it once but it was a miss. Would Kishi really leave his heroine in the dust- after all these years of development? I don't think so. I think he cares for her character, I believe so, and wants something big to happen- something to WOW us.

And if I'm wrong- well, that's okay. I still have faith in Narusaku. Sakura will change in someway after she wakes up.

Do you like my theory, or do you have something better? I am open for debates- and I hope I gave you guys an idea of what could happen after.
