To me this whole thing is confusing. Some are saying naruto was "unintentionally insensitive". How? While he understands what sasuke said about their survival being of huge importance, hence the "i do" and shocked sakura face, he then goes on to say that he just reacts in situations like this. So my take on this whole thing is while he understands that the two of them have to survive no matter what he WILL NOT allow anyone else to be hurt. Thus leading to sakura thanking naruto for always protecting her. I don't feel anything in this that even remotely insinuates that naruto agrees with sasuke that sakura and kakashi have no place in this fight.

So did Naruto say "I agree" or "I understand". Because to my knowledge that's two different things.

This chapter was awesome. I'm really excited for the next one and Sakura releasing her seal was epic! I totally loved her badass moment charging Madara and how she didn't even flinch when she got stabbed. Sure, I wish Sakura did more but this is Madara after all. We shouldn't expect too much and anyway, Sakura was really brave trying take him on. I really liked that flashback of hers. It was so much better than her being in the background.

 

The NaruSaku moments were sorta unexpected, but it was so cute seeing Naruto save her and worry over her that whole time. I liked how he stayed right next to her for a little bit, you can just see how much he cares.  And Sasuke ... he was most definitely about to cut through Sakura, you could see it. My thoughts on the matter? What the kitten, Sasuke. What the actual kitten. I'm not even surprised.

 

I actually felt bad for Sakura though when she realized Sasuke didn't care. Right there, I think she fully realized that Sasuke wasn't the Part 1 Sasuke again and that Team 7 still wasn't the same. That's why I think she was sad, though I don't consider it a romantic SS moment. Definitely negative.  I don't think Sakura was thinking about romance there, but I still stick to my "I believe she thinks she's still in love with him" theory.

 

I already see the SS fans counting this as Pro-SS and saying "Naruto was right there and Sakura didn't care that he saved her or was worried. It was ALL about Sasuke. She wanted him to care more etc. etc. NaruSaku is one-sided blah blah blah". While I'm already annoyed at those arguments, I feel that's definitely over-reacting on their side since SASUKE BASICALLY NEARLY KILLED HER JUST WHEN HE WAS VAGUELY ACTING LIKE PART 1 SASUKE.

 

I hope Sakura fights more. And I wonder about that genjutsu. Does it really manipulate people's dreams like in RTN? That'd be really interesting to see if everyone gets in put in it. Some nice drama there.

 

So excited for the next chapter!
