Which makes me laugh more and more saying: "If you made NS canon, you could have avoided all of this. Yeah, the NH fans would be upset, but everyone else would actually say "Yeah this is Naruto" and accept the ending as truth. Even if people may have hated what couples ended up, they couldn't downright deny there wasn't anything to support it. Here, people are calling bull left and right saying "you basically just change everything just to suit a pairing choice. What a crappy ending."
exactly. They would have gotten over it. Hell the last movie would have likely been a better movie considering it wouldn't be so damn cheesy and we wouldn't have to recollect a lot of the kitten that didn't happen in the manga because it would all be canon with NS. Imagine the bench scene being used as a scene that tied NS together. The actual beginning for NS and not some cheesy ass flashback that didn't even happen at all. i also find it absolutely hilarious how NH fans are basically fine with all of this. Just proves that in their eyes quality means jackkitten. Theyll take whatever Kishi throws as long as NH is endgame.

Kishimoto kind of lost, but that doesn't mean we won.
I really don't want to rain on anyones parade, but really, no matter what Kishimoto will say, it doesn't change what has happened. A lost war is a lost war, no matter the circumstences of how it ended. The difference between a white flag and the battle till the last man fell only changes how the war itself is looked upon.
The damage is done.
Even if they decide to make a NaruSaku ending because the sales were so bad or Kishimoto get's on his knees begging for us to listen that he always wanted NS and was forced by those bad bad people to make NH, it won't undo the movie and the real ending. It's the same crap that JK did with Harry Potter. The Story was done, written and sold. End of it. They failed, and no matter how much they try to justify or repair it, the trust broken by the fans will never be undone. I for example will never in my life watch another creation of this man, and the story can be told 1000x better than Naruto.
I wouldn't care.
The mere that he was okay with calling this couple the red herring. Okay with having Sakura downplay the feelings Naruto had for her in the movie? Okay with allowing this movie to pretty much erase the bond that NS had in general and give the heroine title to a side character speaks volumes. All trust is lost and those who feel chested in Japan with this movie, I hope they're done with this crappy author also.

He's contradicting himself left and right. Some people think that it's PR telling him what to say, but who knows at this point. Regardless, I'm never going to be able to think of him or his work the same way again.
I've heard that Magi is really interesting. I'll check it out once my finals are over!
Not at all. He definitely lost a fan and what's crazy is how good NS was throughout the course of the manga. He really had something great now it seems like they're world's apart. Lol
its funny because Magi is written by a woman. I was surprised how much I got into it. No wasted pages and the story itself is grand. The main characters are likeable and you're gonna love the main female I'm sure. I'm not gonna spoil though. Let me know when you start reading and be sure to put it on your to do list.

Salty is the NH/SS fandoms' new favorite word, with "butthurt" as a close second. They keep telling the NaruSaku fandom on tumblr that they read the manga wrong. Please. As if anyone could have foreseen this kitten stack. Some NS fans are still planning on watching it. I don't know why they want to torture themselves, but they're free to do as they wish. I'll be following your example and keep my distance from it. I don't care to see a movie that destroys everything I loved about the characters.
Exactly. I dont even watch the anime anymore to be honest. i laugh at the NH/SS fandom because they take whatever Kishi feeds them. Even if it isnt worth much. The interviews are crap. First you considered NS at a point and then it was a red herring all the way through? Naruto didnt fall for Hinata until this movie so that means he still liked Sakura throughout the war im guessing and with that said it wasnt given proper closure. I cant with this guy.
On the other hand, I've been reading Magi and I LOVE IT. You should check it out and tell me what you think. :) we need a new manga to discuss. Lol

to even think about calling NS a red herring is stupid cause to pull that off another pairing has to have proper development and that clearly not the case.
EXACTLY. No other pairing had proper development and going off of what he said, Naruto didn't even consider Hinata after all of the stuff she did. It wasn't until after that timeskip and all of the magical flashbacks came about where Naruto and Hinata interacted. I love it. Lol

The Bolt movie confirms that it really was all about the money. Kishimoto and Studio Pierrot never intended to give Naruto a proper ending, because ending the series means ending profits. I feel cheated.
It's funny how we finally see Kishi for who he really is... he's a sellout and I hope his continued does poorly. I'm not even interested in his story anymore. Especially after his crappy interviews.

Kishimoto cannot get out of this, point blank. The only people willing to turn a blind eye at this point are NH shippers.
Everyone else, who isn't unduly biased against characters or ships, or against READING in general can concede that he's f**cked up big time and every new Interview where he back-peddles just proves the case that NH is in fact a badly written ending.
it's so comical though! He really did kitten up and I have no kittens to give if this movie tanks. I hope it doesn't do as well as RtN Jay so these fools can see that even though some people didn't like NS it AT LEAST made sense and it didn't butcher characters around them. NH required murdering character's overall. Going off of these interviews I shouldn't even like Naruto. He's a user.

Yeah, it's a tremendously sexist pov, and shows that Kishimoto, in the end, wasn't as good as his creations. The story ended on these lines. The hero is unchallenged and is awarded the long-devoted, long-suffering, flaw free, phsyically attractive girl. Sakura and Sasuke are paired and written off.
It's interesting though that in the promotional art Sakura is never shown with Sasuke. She's still always standing by Naruto. It's like the promotional people can't see her as someone who doesn't support Naruto, or someone who would choose Sasuke over Naruto, and would stand by him and support him instead. There's truth in that little bit of positioning that's happening over and over again in the advertising!!
I've always considered Kishi sexist but he's disgusting sexist at this point. I'd rather a female write about a male character than leave him writing females when it comes to love. Sakura was one of the best characters he created because of how realistic she was. That was her appeal for me. And he ruined her in one chapter. It took one chapter for her character to collapse. Strong? Outspoken? Mature? Rational? It's insane what Sasuke does to her. He brings out the worst In her.
I find it hilarious how even tough Sasuke Is now GOOD. he doesn't get much in this movie. Sakura loses her heroine status. I'm sure she's gonna be presented as a more capable ninja in the movie and she's taken on Sakura's role seemingly. His healer? His right hand? It's not gonna feel right because it's soooo left field. Kishi should have just wrote her out of the movie with Sasuke.
The one thing that'll make me believe NS was supposed to go somewhere will ALWAYS be chapter 3. He said exactly what she wanted to here. I hate how things were left unresolved. The lack of focus on so much just to make this pairing seem more believable. It's so comical! A love story about NH after years of neglecting the damn pairing! I guess that's the proper way of doing it.

Yeah, that whole thing, him getting in Sakura's face like that.... Naruto was the only one lying to himself. He was the biggest one. No one else was. Not even Sakura. She saw Sasuke for who he was and she was going to kill him for it. She leaves and Naruto has a breakdown because he can't accept the truth. Sakura had already accepted the truth and made a choice — and that choice was Naruto.
But nothing came of it.
I think, at the end of the day, Kishimoto is just a really bad writer. He made all these twists and turns whenever he felt like it. The readers thought he was going somewhere with it, somewhere big, but the joke was on us. He was going nowhere.
this is why I don't believe that bs about Naruto not caring for Sakura genuinely. in the end the crap he spewed afterwards doesnt go with what he produced. Going by that interview Naruto was a selfish kitten who literally did just get in the way of SS. How in the hell does that sound and what would people think of Naruto then? Kishi isn't being honest or genuine. There's a reason why RTN did so well even though it was a NS movie and I doubt this sappy crap of a love story is even gonna compare at all. He played us and I hope his lying deceitful ass gets played top starting with this movie.

Even after all this I still don't really hate kittennata...it was Kishimoto's and Pierrot's fault for allowing themselves to get so biased and concerned over a character and her fanbase. Those money-hungry exploiting bastards... When you get Hinata..HINATA of all characters in a sexy playboy maid/bunny costume in a Shippuden anime omake then you know something's up. The sexual obsession with this shy innocent character truly is disgusting. kitten her and her fans.
she's not even worth my hate and all of the over exposure in the movie is DISGUSTING. It's ridiculously sappy and it doesn't even feel like a Naruto movie at all. To basically go against the damn manga is comical to me. He shouldn't have to explain WHY kitten happened at the end because it should have been self explanatory. The mere fact that he does speaks volumes. You're basically trying to see something you never invested kitten in and it's showing. NH sprang forth from nothing and all they're looking at now is dollar signs. He can claim Naruto never liked/loved her. He can claim they only had a sibling relationship but with it, he'd go against everything he produced. He should have kept his damn mouth shut after finishing thay manga IMO becuase there is no salvaging this wreck.
