You'll probably never get a direct answer to whether he wanted the series to end like this, but there's quite a lot of evidence to go by, even as late as the girlfriend comment chapter.

Honestly this just proves NS was meant to be. The parallel even got confirmed by Minato himself ffs.

 Kishi sold out.

Seems like some international fans are harassing Kishi and staff.

The thing is Kishi IS an incompetent writer and i hope he realizes just how much he messed up.

People have every right expressing their opinion because guess what, it's their opinion.

The ending is just one big mess and just feels so out of sync with the rest of the manga.

We're supposed to believe that Sasuke always loved Sakura yet in all of the 698 chapters we never once see him show any shred of remorse or care for Sakura.

Same thing with Sakura. All it took was an apology from Sasuke and just like that, Sakura regresses back to the character she was at the very beginning. Only caring for 1 thing and 1 thing only Sasuke-kuuuun. All her development, just gone like that. Not caring at all about Naruto or anyone else for that matter. Where did her support for Naruto go ? Where did all her self respect go ? 

and well NH... I mean if after 699 chapters (15 YEARS) you actually have to make a freaking movie to make NH canon you know you f**cked up as a writer.

He actually had to stick in a flashback of a moment that wasn't even in the manga. 699 chapters but had to asspull a flashback to make it seem like NH actually had depth.

People feel cheated because they feel this was either Kishi trolling  them or him selling out at the very last moment. Either way people are pissed and demand answers.

So honestly apart from death threats or just plainly insulting him people have every right "harassing" Kishi and his assistant.

You made an ending that completely goes against what the manga stood for. What did you expect ?!

and you know it's not even about the pairing itself but about the choices the characters had  to make, to make SS and NH happen.

They are just completely OOC. 

, but here I am instead actually trying to have a friendly debate.

The thing is this isn't a debate you"re having.

You ask us to give our reasons as to why we support NS but when people then give you their reasons you dismiss them as wrong and "correct" them according to your own view.

How about you actually try and understand the reasons people are giving you instead of immediately dismissing them as wrong ? 

Sorry to say it but... you cannot actually say covers mean nothing. Look at the last cover ... A short respite from an arduous journey which was the cover before they got to Kaguya's world. The design of the cover was a short description of what was about to come: Team 7 going to Kaguya's dimensions, Sakura holding onto Naruto pointing towards the castle which in manga was traduced as Sakura working together with Naruto to get Sasuke back, Sasuke was far-away looking at his bow like he was out of the picture which in the manga was traduced as Sasuke being thrown off in the separate dimension and Kakashi in the back just standing there doing nothing which represented in the manga as he currently was: uncapable of helping in any way.

So covers DO tell something and I'm sorry to say it but the truth here is that Kishi is screwing-up his own writing. And all for what? For ship tease and all that kitten?

Why couldn't have he made Sakura stay on a separate horse like the others? I am not bothered by his drawing per se, I am bothered by its representation and the way he is contradicting his own manga and ruining some development and its image.
How the hell can you tell me that, as a new reader, you're supposed to pick-up that Sakura has no feelings for Sasuke when he draws her blushing? Come on, let's not try to find the man excuses anymore. In the end, in this whole pathetic war between fans, he does have its guilt. Things could've been made differently and we all know it.
And I would say more but... I think I'm gonna stop here because idk if people will really understand that this trespasses the innocent play with pairings, it's about consistency at this point. It all kittening went downhill after Pein Arc. But meh, I digress...

Yeah i think you're reading to much into it. I mean honestly if we are to take your logic of covers having foreshadowing elements that will happen in the manga then it would appear Team 7 is gonna be in an AU where they're riding horses, wearing cowboy hats and firing revolvers. Sorry but i can't see that happening in the manga. This is just Kishi having some fun with his characters and giving some fan service to SS fans. Yeah he's teasing us. He's fully aware of the pairing wars and is exploiting that.

Honestly i would understand the commotion if Sakura blushed when she was held by Sasuke in the manga but this is a freaking cover art.

If he wanted to let Sakura regress as a character then why didn't he make her blush and fangirl over Sasuke when he catched her in the manga ?

Why ? Because he has no intention of doing so.

Euhm... am i missing something here ? Are people really worried about that cover art ? Even if it is written by Kishi so what ?! Cover arts have no connection to the manga  what so ever. They're just fan service.

I don't see how this cover makes Sakura look like she's regressing back as a character ?

 

 

In all respect, i never see Naruto doubting about his feelings for once.

I never see Naruto thinking about his feelings for Sakura at least in some form to give development, even when Kishi doesnt show Naruto loving Sakura like on Pain's arc he still made a relations chart with "Suki" towards Sakura.

 

Naruto's feelings for Sakura are the same from chapter 3.

It's always Sakura who's at least thinking about her feelings, getting development like "The guy you love must be a great guy, making a confession, taking decisions because of love".

But it was Kushina wasnt it? Minato did that comment with no romantic undertones he just complimented her hair and it was all up to Kushina who thought about her life and stuff and that she was wrong about herself and about Minato.

 

IMO just to say i believe Sakura doesnt love Naruto(romantically wise) on the same way as Sasuke, i can sense that there's something really impactfull for that to happen.

It's lacking a moment where she does actually fall in love with Naruto, being slowly loving Naruto and at the same time showing that she loves Sasuke, it doenst help, only if it's to put the pairing on a status quo, and the fact that she chose to return Naruto's feelings despite loving another guy makes it look bad rather than positive.

I never said that Naruto has doubts about his love for Sakura. His love for Sakura isn't up for debate. He loves her period. We as the readers know that but Sakura doesn't atleast not like we do.

She knows he loves her but I really doubt she comprehends just how much he loves her. Sai told her Naruto loves her but it loses a lot of it's magnitude when someone else confesses his love rather then himself.

I think Sakura already loves Naruto but she's simply oblivious to it because she's still a bit confused and messed up by Sasuke. Even though she's acknowledged her feelings for Sasuke to be negative and has shown "more then friends " concern for Naruto but she still hasn't made the decision to leave her feelings for Sasuke behind and choose Naruto.

So she does need something to trigger it. To make her question what she feels for Naruto. You know the "what is Naruto to you ?" revelation.

 Perfect way for that would be Naruto confessing. It would be impossible for Sakura not to make a decision. She would be forced to deal with her feelings.

And the forehead compliment is bound to happen.

What NS moment that if never happened, would make you doubt NS being endgame?

Well i wouldn't really doubt it being endgame but the NS moment that made me certain of NS was :

Sakura running towards four tailed naruto. Crying and screaming "i'll save Sasuke for you"

Yamato's unfinished sentence "It's not what you do for Naruto that's important" " It's how strongly you feel about him that counts"

*Sakura's schocked face* "hmph" "Sakura.. I can tell just by looking at you" " the truth is you- "

You don't put this scene in unless your making NS endgame.(imo ofcourse)
