I don't think we can really compare Naruto's desire to become Hokage with Sasuke's need for "revenge". First of all, we know Sasuke would do ANYTHING to gain power, while Naruto doesn't. Sasuke would gladly give up his body for his ambitions. He said it himself. Naruto, on the other hand, is determined to use his own power. We see him reject Kyuubi's help against Sasuke after he hurt Sakura earlier.
Besides, remember that the only reason that Naruto wants to be Hokage is because he wants to be recognized and protect his precious people. Obviously, the village and his friends matter more to him than a title.
