I too appreciated this work but don't you think that the implications behind this are somewhat disappointing? I mean all of the potential alternate realities that are pondered in this piece also serve as reminders that they didn't happen and that it's merely something that could have been instead of something that is.

^ So much this.
That's EXACTLY what I meant when I said that it makes me feel happy and sad at the same time. I've always loved ladygt's work this is the first one that gives me these feels though...

Actually if you look at chapter 652 when the Bijju were extracted from Obito, you can tell that there some of Kurama's chakra was there amongst the other tailed beasts. Also remember that Obito through their chakra into the Gedo statue before it became the ten tails, so the Gold and Silver Brother's chakra won't be the saving factor of Naruto. It'll still be the Yin half of Kurama, somehow someway Minato is gonna get that half back.  Remember Obito is still there, and this could be his opportunity to regain control. At the moment he's unconscious. Also judging by how this week's chapter went, Minato will play a crucial role in the next chapter considering that he'll do whatever it takes to protect Naruto. The only obstacle I see is Madara is also present. So unless He gets cocky about just coming after the eye, and ignoring Yin Kurama completely then maybe Minato will get it back. I know Kishi's got something up his sleeve, but the Gold and Silver Brothers chakra won't be the case since Naruto got it back after the Bijuu were extracted from Obito in 652.

Just a note: for those of you still thinking Sakura will pull a chiyo to save Naruto, she won't because that's only a technique that Lady Chiyo knows how to do. So yeah I believe that Yin Kurama still will be the only way to save Naruto, somehow Minato will get that back from black zetsu. The tools there are gonna the things that lead to Madara's defeat.

I must have forgotten about Naruto pulling out Kurama's chakra when he was fighting Obito, well there goes that theory  :glare: . And really I couldn't agree more Sakura saw Chiyo's jutsu for like what? A couple of minutes max? I hardly doubt that you can learn a jutsu that fast and just by watching it unless you have the sharingan.

This thread is pretty dead today for once ...  guess that means it's time to spark some discussion.

As of last chapter, Naruto's still out cold and things just got worse for him considering Madara stole away the Yin Kurama from him. The moment that happened, I got the feeling this was opening up even more NS possibilities after 663. I'm actually very surprised not too many people on this forum talked about it.

Sakura's only been so determined to believe that Naruto will live because of Gaara's information on the Yin Kurama so I feel like a lot of her hope will be slipping to see her last chance get stripped away. I predicted this before, but I think this might lead to Sakura's break down moment. Maybe not uncontrollably because she is in the middle of an extremely dangerous battlefield, but I feel like she'll start crying soon.  Sakura's gotten so much better at warfare composure if 663 proved anything, but I don't think she'll be able to take this that well now that her last hope was gone. But I'm also kind of seeing Sakura, even if she starts crying, immediately tell them they had to do whatever they could to take back Yin Kurama because she refuses to give up on Naruto's life.

Sakura, IMO, needs to go through this breakdown moment over Naruto dying if she's ever going to realize her true feelings for him realistically. I'm not saying it will definitely happen, but from a storytelling POV it should. If Kishimoto still tries to milk Sakura with her "confused feelings" for Naruto until the final arc, then that will be a logic fail and be terrible writing IMO. I wouldn't like that type of writing for NS, but I still feel like my theory is highly plausible. If Sakura's conflicted between her love for Naruto and Sasuke in the final arc, it wouldn't disregard Naruto's habit of getting everything the hard way. Even if Sakura loves him, there's still Sasuke and that sticks to Naruto having to work for things. Of course she'd chose Naruto, but the point is things will still be "hard" for Naruto.

If Sakura still doesn't realize she loves him after his near-death, then I think she could also when he wakes up. Sakura starts crying tears of happiness and hugs him ... realizing her love for him then is also really realistic. I know I say this a lot, but I just really have a feeling that Sakura will at least partially come to an epiphany in the coming NS chapter this arc.

I would love to see Sakura breakdown and find out how much Naruto really means for her and all but with Madara being there now I really doubt we'll have anything like that for the next few chapters, realistically speaking   , maybe just Sakura having an inner monologue about Naruto's condition or something. If Madara weren't there now that'd be different, but atm I just can't find in a place to squeeze in a narusaku moment, hope I'm wrong though!

Re-reading this week's chapter it kinda got me thinking about why Kishi made Madara spit out the sages's ninja tools. As its been said before he has limited panels to work with and we could have just assumed that the tools were absorbed into the mazou when Obito first summoned the juubi. I also think that it was a huge coincidence that they landed exactly where Guy and Lee are since they are headed to where Naruto is now. Maybe (and tell me if you think I'm wrong) Kishi is planing on using the chakra that Kinkaku and Ginkaku have to save Naruto.
I guess it's not as farfetched as it sounds, whatever goes into the pot and gourd doesn't come out unless it's from outside intervention like someone deliberately opening them and since all 3 objects are from the sages's era (pot, gourd, and the mazou) it's safe to say that the tools can't be forced by the mazou. So idk what do you guys think? If Naruto get revived that way we can have our narusaku moment with him being recovered and all!
