I believe it's the tadpole from Chapter 429

Pink? Hmm, who does that make me think of....

That doesn't look like the tadpoles Naruto first summoned in part 1, and the head doesn't look like even Shima's (Ma frog)- the eyes are human looking not frog/toad. Wonder what it could be?

Uzumakikage, I think you're right, but I did some searching online and that critter in 429 appears to be a newt. They are classified with frogs and toads, but look like something in between a frog and a lizard, they keep the tail even after going on land with both sets of legs. a newt also develops (unlike toads and frogs) it's front legs first as an eft (tadpole stage for newts).

why does everyone keep saying that the manga's going to end or a time skip....what proof is there that there's going to be either one from that cover???? all it shows me is naruto with all the hokage and that pink newt/frog/toad/tadpole thing. which is kinda weird and brings up the question if its just on there for no reason at all or maybe it is useful????

Japan Excite's translator is better. http://www.excite.co.jp/world/english/ But you do need to know basic Japanese to use it. Here's how it translated it:
