Ok I'm tired and this is my first time write blogs so go easy on it. sweatdrop.gif

Alright for those who haven't know the "real" person that is writing right now, the name's DeShawn, known here as "Derock", a nickname that was used IRL. Originally, some of the old members known me as "Kenson" back in the day (around November 2006, when I was a lurker and a n00b). Now for the introduction of what my personality is, I can put it in these words: I can be the nicest person you'll ever met, though I can be an evil SOB in a minute. tongue.gif

You can guess that's the best description? Right? RIGHT?!

Now on to what's in my life as a cityboy, living in the lovely, but the crowded and craziest-ass state of New Jersey of the USA. Living in one of the ghetto-est city there is too, but was raised to be a good person. No trouble!

Things you must learn and understand:

1) FOOD!! I'm crazy about it! Homemade, Fast-Food, Gourmet, Restuarant, whatever! I just love to eat... if it's taste good. If it's bland or yucky (like beans, it's good for you for fiber but beans are YUCKY!!! DX )

2) I read most of the time, only things that excite me. If it's boring, I will drop it like a fly.

3) Video games are a passion to me. But I'm into specific genres, fighting and platform (in their terms, they call it "side-scrolling" WTF does that mean?) Most of you know my love for Sonic the Hedgehog series. Since I'm a die hard fan, I let you know I'm a, what they referred to in their communtiy, Universal Sonic fan. Since Sonic have different media, hopefully someday that gap will be broken and merged into one. (And they are crazy in there, trust me; as a matter of fact, EVERYWHERE on the internet are crazy!) I can give you my favorite characters from all universes of Sonic:

1) Sonic
2) Amy
3) Knuckles
4) Tails
5) Cream
6) Shadow
7) Rouge
8) Julie-Su
9) Sonia
10) Lara-Su
11) Bunnie

... Most of the list are girls and are from the comic books and TV shows... couldn't you blame me? tongue.gif

For the fighters, I'd been playing that genre since many eons ago! Thank God for my love of kick-ass women: Chun-Li, Cammy, Morrigan, Mai, Felicia, Sakura, Nakoruru, Kasumi, Pai... and the list goes on and on, and on and on...

4) When my NaruSaku began? Hmmm... a long story... let's start at 2006 when I was began to become more interested in the series. Back in the day when it first came to US television, the show didn't have that much impact to me... yet... so around February, when there was nothing to do for me during my senior year in HS, I'm started to get involved. I found sites for the manga and spoilers (because they have no effect on me) so little old me was reading and then that's when I was starting to reading Part II because I want to see what the characters look like. Then Naruto and Sakura suddenly give me thoughts of them being a couple. Now I was looking around for some interactions from the two, and I noticed there were alot!!! I thought "I think I found my next big couple support!!!" After searching around fanfics and fanart, I came across the NaruSaku Club, though haven't joined in there. Looking around, I came across the link to the place I was going to call a second home. People talking and discussing about the couple, the series, hell even other topics... this is one place I can get along... though I didn't participated immediately. Because of my initial shyness, I lurked around the boards... it wasn't until I gain the courage and start my full participation and I was accepted.

Now you know what had happened back then, now what's happen right now...

Computer was being used. Who wouldn't know how much time has wasted for Christmas shopping? >_> Nothing isn't on the TV screen that is intresting. Now looking at the news, since Obama's elected as the 44th President, why are people telling him to get to work to solve the economic problems pronto?! He can't start until January next year, this is the time when he has to organize his administration (and why they kept talking about the new dog he had promised his girls he will presented?) They need to tell Bush to solve the economic problems now since he has one more month left as president (and will you look at that, after talking to Obama, they can't find him...) Now I agree: Bush = Chicken.

GAH!!! I was awaken by me mom and she said there was a mouse in the house and it was caught in the traps...

And the bad thing is... that the mouse is still living when we have that sound thingie that can kill any rodents, even pets... WTF?! That means my mother just waste money on things that suppose to be good, yet it's a piece of crap...

... Did I meant to tell you that the mice are coming from the neighbors? Since the houses are connected to each other (we're a town house complex), the neighbor on the left is afraid of mice and those pesky critters come to our side by stove (since there's an opening in the gas pipe or they come in via basement) and we CLEAN our house, they don't!

Nasty neighbors... and did I mention that I hate mice and also RATS?!! That's even worse... and they come out in the daytime which it's freaky!!! And they are big rats too, which are scary!!! The people behind the complex has a dog and it's afraid of them and they were running around the area like crazy...

...We need more traps and poisons... dry.gif

You're talking about that Riddix thing right. That's why I *always* research a product before I buy it. Scroll down to the bottom of this page, and read the reviews to learn how bad this product is:

Riddix is a fraud

Well the one in our home ISN'T Riddix, it's Bell-Howell w/e it called. It's one of those"As Seen on TV" type of products.

Now I just found what happened, the mouse moved the glue trap (how the f-ing hell that little thing move those traps without getting stuck?!), then got caught and it was screaming because of the noise of the pulses. I believe that thing didn't kill it (the traps did however, that bastard deserved it.)

So many of those 'As Seen On TV' things are so crappy, I never waste my money on 'em >.>

Just because it's on 'tv' doesn't mean that it's 'foolproof' after all.

..what can I say for today at midnight?

Hmmm, yesterday was gloomy... No sun, just rain... Always make me bored, gloomy and sometimes cold...

Now here's something I haven't told anyone. I will get easily frustrated when playing games in single player, especially my arcade games. The reason why most of the time I don't playing genres like RPGs because I want to get straight to the point (exclude RPGs like Kingdom Hearts and sometimes Pokemon because of the gameplay, design and storylines). In fighting games, I want to get to point A to point B (beat the opponents and get straight to ending or finish the game whatever.)

Now around the late-morning, early afternoon, I was playing Samurai Shodown V Special. Love the game, especially seeing the Zetsumei Ougis, aka fatalities (don't say Mortal Kombat is the ONLY game that has that type of violence, there are other titles that has it too, but they aren't that graphic). But back in the day, Samurai Shodown wasn't this graphic as much (just slice people in half, except Nakoruru and Rimururu in 3 and 4 because of popularity) but in here, everyone including Nakoruru and Rimururu get sliced, diced, splited in two, eaten, destroyed, fried into ashes, the list goes on when they lose, hell there is a suicide move... (sorry to scared y'all, that's how the game is in terms of WOW factor, but not as graphic like MK).

Though balanced, it's following the same crazy AI overpowering attempt when 3 was out (also love that game because of artwork on the character sprites and stages, and the music is awesome, but the game was rushed and it wasn't beta-tested). It came down to the boss that I was so damn frustrated after losing so many times that most of the time the AI opponents likes to SPAM the high attack (and the game was in easy difficulty). Well, it took a lot of patience and quick thinking to finish my opponents...

... though I need practice, I still haven't perform the Zetsumei Ougis so I can see my opponent die right in front of the screen and the command is very simple, yet my stupid controller don't want to input quick enough... >_<

Just finished dinner.... for all you food lovers out there (like me of course! biggrin.gif ) I tried a different chicken. I tried Cajun-spiced chicken which my mother brought from the store the other day. It was delicious and spicy! wow.png The damn spices is still kickin' in my mouth!

This is the reason, I like to try some new stuff, instead of the same old food and recipes. It gets too tiring and there are other new flavors out there I will like to try. For instance, 2 years ago, I tried Thai Chicken and it was so damn spicy, I couldn't handle it! Yet, it was so good! I like stuff that has a kick to it, but not too much of it (like some people add super-duper hot and spicy sauce from the Caribbean) that I won't try.

Lol, yeah growing up in Jamaica, I'm used to eating all kinds of spicy stuff like Jerk Chicken, and bonnet pepper, and spicy curry chicken XD

Though I much prefer ketchup to any kind of pepper :teehee:

Before dinner, I was trying to figure out something with one of my PC games. Now I was playing Lego Island (please don't ask why) and I want to get some of the music off the game when I realized, I don't know where are those files are kept. I see data and scripts but no music... and I don't know if people have the music in the internet... but I will try and find it...

I had listen to the soundtrack just posted around 1 AM and it's excellent!!! wow.png Most of the songs has a Soul Calibur-ish feel (oh that's right, the game is from Namco Bandai after all) I recommend listening to these tracks: Earth-Shattering Matter (track 9), Big Fight With The Giant Toad, Sorrowful Eyes, Crimson Spiral & Black Thunder, and Squad 7.

Now I have to write about an article for my Sociology class and quickily finish it so I can call these idiots at the other school, in regards of WHY HAVEN'T they refund my deposit money...

Gotta write and type my official Game Design Document, very soon! I can't tell you what game I'm writing about! :teehee:

So that is it for today... so:

Fred: If you ever need us, just whistle.

Scooby: Like this... *whistle loud*

FYI: A side-scroller is a 2D game that scrolls left, down, right, or up, when reaching the sides of the screen (if allowed).

If your talking about the 1980's Mario, that's a side-scroller, however newer ones such as Super Mario 64, Mario Sunshine, and Mario Galaxy are not.
You can't have a side-scrolling game that's 3D unless it incorporates it into the gameplay, such as Super Paper Mario for the Wii.

2D=Side-scroller.
3D=Not a side-scroller.

I get what you're saying. I believe Street Fighter IV is applied as side-scrolling because while the graphics are 3-D, it feels like 2-D.
