How to Add Videos to your Post

This is a small guide that will show you how to add videos from Youtube, Veoh, Gametrailers, Gamevideos, and Dailymotion.

Before using video tags, please make sure you know the rules!
Rules of Conduct - this applies to videos and their content.
Signature Rules - In short, no videos are allowed in signatures.

Youtube

YouTube Instructions --Click here to view--

Step 1: Copy the video ID from the web address:



Step 2: When you make your post, select Insert Special Item, then Insert: Youtube



Step 3: Copy the video ID into the content box, then hit OK.


That's it!

Veoh

Veoh Instructions --Click here to view--

Step 1: Copy the video ID from the address (after "videos/" and before "?source"):



Step 2: In your post, select Insert Special Item, then Insert: Veoh:


Step 3: Copy the video ID into the content box, then hit OK:


All done!

Gametrailers

Gametrailers Instructions --Click here to view--

Step 1: Copy the video number from the address bar:



Step 2: When posting, select Insert Special Item, then Insert: Gametrailers:


Step 3: Copy the video ID into the content box, then hit OK:

Gamevideos

Step 1: Look below the video on its page, and you will see a Permalink box. Double-click and hold on the number to only select it. While holding your mouse button, hit CTRL+C to copy the number:

If that feels too fiddly to do, just copy the whole link, paste it somewhere (like Notepad) and you can select the number more easily.


Step 2: In your post, select Insert Special Item, then Insert: Gamevideos:


Step 3: Paste your video ID into the content box, then hit OK:


All done!

Dailymotion

Dailymotion Instructions --Click here to view--

OK, this is more complex than the other videos so it needs an extra step.

Step 1: Select and copy the code in the Embeddable Player box below the video you want to show:


Step 2: Paste the code into Notepad or any text editor, then select the video ID. It's in the tag that begins with param name. Make sure you copy after "swf/" and before "&related":


Step 3: In your post, select Insert Special Item, then Insert: Dailymotion:


Step 4: Paste the video ID into the content box, and hit OK:


All done!
