Has anyone else been reading Platinum End? I just started reading it, (though it's only three chapters so far,) It's from the team that bought us Death Note and Bakuman, and is published n Shounen SQ, so monthly manga.
Premise seems to be, Mirai Kakehashi is a boy with a sad upbringing, and seeks to end his life, only a Angel turns up saying her job is to make him happy, and the story begins. whiile it's still too early to judge the series as it's a three chapters in, though it is three long chapter with it being published in a monthly. I'd say this feels more mature than Bakuman, and has already had some unpleasant scenes.
It's certainly interesting so far, having not read Death Note, but getting enough spoilers over the years, I'd say this has taken that more mature approach than Bakuman which ended up as a typical Battle manga, where this might end up more psychological, Not usually my cup of tea, but having never given Death Note a chance I feel I need to give this a try atleast.
Like Both typical Shonen manga and Dark Cynical, Borderline seinen-like Shonen manga. And well, some Seinen caught my interest too 
Well the the premise is similar but it's too dark to be like Ah My Goddess. I see a bit of Future Diary/Mirai Nikki in it too. Well read the first chapter and you'll see. It is disturbing
Did she have a crush on him too from before? 
Well Develpment may not be the right word for it but it piqued my interest all the same
