How nice would it be if during the time lapse after the war Naruto joined the Anbu. I think it would sort of be out of character a bit considering Narutos style but it still would be nice to see him make a name for himself like Kakashi did. Maybe impossible considering everyone knows who he is at that point. Let me know what you think.

It's cool, but naruto himself is not a killer nor have the right attitude to become anbu.
But he did have the attitude to become a scumbag.
Which I've told you - time and time again - is dangerous! There will never be consensus, son, among those you have helped to ascend. They will all differ in their views of what it means to be free. The peace you so desperately seek does not exist.
These men are united now by a common cause. But when this battle is finished they will fall to fighting amongst themselves about how best to ensure control. In time it will lead to war. You will see.

I've read a Fanfic where Naruto became an ANBU after he got back sauce, so that he can avoid Sauce and Sakura.
Was a pretty good read, and NS in the end as well.

Yet another unexplored path Kishi could have taken that would have shown Naruto developing his skills and maturing as a ninja and a leader. You could write a book about the missed opportunities Kishi had.

Honestly unless Naruto went through some major life changing moments and had an epiphany--and the stupidness of Kishi's writing was stripped bare from him...He could never be in Anbu because he refuses to kill.
In the end, Naruto kinda turned out to be more of a Talker then a Fighter

In the end, Naruto kinda turned out to be more of a Talker then a Fighter
though i don't consider it canon naruto did kill one random akatsuki zombie with his giant rasengan that was disguised as itachi in canon and he was ready to kill haku as well. personally i don't like the idea of naruto being a killer because to me it's ooc. i also heard that the naruto anime almost was cancelled because of too many characters killing (probably just a rumor sounds far-fetched).

The problem is that Naruto joining the anbu would mean he would spend less time sitting on his ass with hinata. So no he cant because it would take him away from the "goddess" and SP couldn't bear the thought of him doing that.

after seeing how kitten kakashi itachi yamato and sai's lives were as ambu i can't get behind them i guess. but outside of canon i don't see why not i suppose

Kakashi will do it for naruto.If it happened in a filler Its not canon.
Also that itachi was already a dead corpse, I doubt he could have killed the real one.

yeah naruto didn't know it was fake till they checked the body. it was in the manga wasnt it. how much of this series was filler lol. apparently the guy wasn't already dead doesn't make too much sense to me
