The dog attack, Mullins explained, has made it difficult for her granddaughter to swallow.
"The right side of her face is paralyzed," Mullins said. "She's got a lot of surgeries to go through and she won't even look in the mirror anymore. When we go to a store, she doesn't even want to get out [of the car]. She's 3 years old and she's embarrassed about what she looks like."
"We take this very seriously, as we have zero tolerance for any kind of hurtful or disrespectful actions toward our guests," KFC spokesman Rick Maynard said in a statement. "Our investigation is ongoing, but we have been in touch with the family and are committed to doing something appropriate for this beautiful little girl and her family. We will also work with the franchisee to take appropriate action at the restaurant once the specifics of the incident are determined."

Three years old? Oh my gosh, do people have no compassion? I feel so sorry for her--that she's so upset with the way she looks at such a young age... and then to be asked to leave, I can just imagine her poor heart breaking.
The only thing I can hope for is that KFC will step up to the plate and help the family cover costs of the surgeries or as they said, something appropriate to help her if it is in their power to do so. Whoever it was that asked her to leave, I hope they're facing serious repercussions.

Violation of Rights I tell you. I would have gone in and protest asking that she stay, and if not bought whatever she wanted for her.

KFC (Jackson branch) Shame on you!
That girl has been through a lot and they have the nerve to asked that little girl and her grandma to leave just because her scar is scaring some of those a-hole diners.
As if the physical scar not enough, you need to add in emotional scar to the girl. Way to go KFC

I'd heard about this some days ago. It's just terrible to hear. This little girl survived a vicious dog attack, even losing her eye, and now she's self-conscious about how she looks at such a young age and people have the gall to complain that looking at her scares them. God, these people. They should be ashamed.
I even saw pictures of her after the attack; there's nothing scary about her. Some people just have no compassion or empathy.

I know. Her scar wasn't even grotesque enough to scare away the diners. I know some whose scars are way worse than this girl but they still being treated no different than scar-less, normal diners.

Nobody can locate the video of the incident. That alone isn't enough to prove it didn't happen, but if it didn't they may be getting sued and can probably be prosecuted.
I'm not telling you to automatically disbelieve it, but I don't know that I'd take it as gospel without additional corroboration.

Reports are coming out this morning that this may be a hoax by the family to hit people up for donations.

I also heard that the KFC where the incident was supposed to have taken place had been out of business for years. If it's true and the whole thing was just a hoax, it makes me very disappointed that the family would use this little girl this way. I understand needing donations -- apparently the girl is in need of further surgeries for her injuries -- but this is totally the wrong way to go about it.

Technically, it's prosecutable as theft and it's defamation against KFC. People could have gotten fired over it and its probably cost them some business.

The grandmother of a 3-year-old girl who was viciously attacked by three dogs says she was asked to leave a KFC in Jackson, Miss., by an employee who said the girl's scars were scaring other customers.
