So, Hinata got her little moment for her birthday and I was totally expecting something nice for Sakura (March 28) but it's not looking like that's how it will go down because of Ye Old Flashback. >.>

615 didn't happen on Hinata's birthday; I'm not sure why everyone continues to think that. The official release for that chapter was in january, but it was leaked early in December.
Doubt Kishimoto keeps up with Naruto B-days. Whenever Sakura or NS gets limelight it won't have a specific date like that. On the 28th, we're still in flashback mode.

This is a tad nitpicky. Considering her birthday is December 27th and things get pushed back because of New Years I can definitely see how the connection was made.
Anyway, back to the question

Actually 615's official release was on December 22, the scanlation was delayed due to Christmas.

It wasn't on her birthday. There was a delay. But, who knows for Sakura. Maybe Mito will be introduced by then XD

I would rather have people make fan arts of a character for a birthday instead of singing it to a fictional character.
