If she wasn't kidnapped Naruto probably would have never went after Gaara, which eventually ends up saving the leaf and saving Gaara, making him and the sand a future ally.
Then there's the promise Naruto would have never gone after Sasuke if it wasn't for the promise. Then none of this would probably be happening as it is. Oorchunaru would be an uchia. Which also bring to the point where I believe that some part of bringing sasuke back is still do to Sakura, cause he doesn't want to go back on his word.
And a another thing, which might not be as impactful, but naruto was pissed and was talking about getting revenge for jiriya death, but Sakura quickly yelled at him. Stopping all vengeance from naruto in its tracks.

And I think Naruto would have gone after Sasuke either way. He was already part of the Retrieval Squad, and was ready to head out before Sakura came to talk to him.
But if you mean his overall desire to bring Sasuke back...well Naruto himself said that it wasn't just about the promise anymore.

But if you mean his overall desire to bring Sasuke back...well Naruto himself said that it wasn't just about the promise anymore.
Naruto's motives to bring Sasuke back has always been beyond the promise.
Initially it was for the promise just for Sakura, but for Naruto it was about protecting one he saw as his rival, friend, and mostly, a brother.
Because Naruto had no family and Sasuke lost his this was what made him see there was someone like him, one who was always alone. The promise was mainly just for Sakura but it eventually became something binding all of team 7.
Naruto mainly did it for Sakura and to save Sasuke but after pain killed Jiriaya, Naruto came to see how it felt to lose a loved one and when he faced Nagato, he could have killed him but he took the other way out and ultimately forgave him, mainly because of the cycle of hatered and revenge one would want from his death. If Naruto struck Nagato down than Konan would attack him and so on. This mentality was the reason he wanted the Raikage to forgive Sasuke, he did not want a war between the leaf and cloud.
For Naruto saving Sasuke is the ultimate goal because he understands his pain and the reasons for wanting revenge mainly around what Itachi did, but its also for saving his first real friend aside from Sakura. Sasuke is Naruto's goal, aside from understanding his pain and motives and the who parallels to Hashirama and Madara, the promise ultimately binds team 7. Naruto feels that if he cannot save Sasuke than he cannot be hokage, Naruto has the power to be hokage now, just he feels he does not deserive it if he cannot save one friend from their own self destruction. On this same note, he feels he cannot confess to Sakura until he finds resolution with Sasuke. Naruto intially would save Sasuke for Sakura because he was devoted to her, he was going to do it even if she still loved Sasuke, he would hope that she would look at him in a different light and acknowldge him even if she never loved him back.
For Sakura, she felt useless and a burden. Because Naruto could not do it alone she resolved to help him and trained with Tsunade. Ever since then, Sakura has wanted to be of help when it came to resucing Sasuke. She was helping Naruto so he was not alone. Sakura loves Sasuke yes, but she also has feelings for Naruto. She has been a driving factor on the story. One thing Sakura still has not done or achieved she wants is to help do something very big for Naruto and fulfill that sense of duty by being of great use to her teammate. She wants to do something in return for all he does to her. Even with the confession, she is still resolved to helping him. Sakura at one point did want to kill Sasuke and have Naruto abandon the promise but that was because she felt sad, torn, desperate, and undeseriving of all he did for her. She wanted to end his suffering at the expense of her own happiness and even life it that were it. That plan could have gone better but she is going to do something for Naruto and everything he strived to do, Sakura in part has been one movitiaing factor and helped him.
For Sasuke, he considers himself out and was always focused on revenge. However because the promise was made to have him come back, Sasuke has been away from this which drived Naruto and Sakura. Sasuke was a revenge obsessed freak for the longest time but this can change, it may even impact him when he learns of how Itachi wanted Naruto to do something about him, Sasuke will turn away from revenge but he must find the answers for a new better purpose.
Team 7 is bound by the promise, its not the only factor for Naruto anymore on Sasuke, that is true but he still feels obliged to get Sasuke back before he has the self approval for both Hokage and Sakura.
Many people say NaruSaku is dead the promise was broken, thats just further from the truth. Naruto never gives up or goes back on his word, he is designed with the personality trait of a kitsune to never break or abandon a promise (Kurama represents the other and malavent kistune personality from japanese folklore, both had the trickster personality). Even moments after rescuing Sakura from Sasuke Naruto says how can he be hokage if he cannot save one friend, this means he is still on the promise. The promise is the purpose for him to save Sasuke and it was the initial reason, now after so many events it has more built on top of it.
Sakura has done a lot in the series to drive forward a lot of events and development but mainly for Naruto. She has had a lot of impacts on the story.

I've been trying to explain people through my analysis what's her role in the manga, by know. Unfortunately, I kinda stopped writing. I need more time. I haven't got past Chuunin Exams part 1.

In part 1 Sakura acted like she was in the audience. At first attracted towards Sasuke and considering Naruto annoying because he was noisy and a loser.
But when Naruto started having some achievements she started to admire him too. The promise of the a lifetime pretty much made her decide she wouldn't burden Naruto anymore and decided she must grow stronger.
Now in part 2 we see her choosing to somehow repay Naruto's loyalty and determination. The way she admired him when they reunited, she asked Yamato to teach her how to suppress the Kyuubi chakra, tried to take care of Sasuke so Naruto wouldn't worry about it anymore.
I think there will come a time when Sakura will repay Naruto and impact the entire story so we have to wait and see.

Even if it made him suffer, the promise of a lifetime is what made Naruto so strong today. Of course it doesn't only matter that promise, and of course he was wrong on fighting alone on this all this time, but... this was in the name of love, like he saved her life against Gaara. And in manga Shonen, when you're fighting for love, it gives you an unbelievable strenght.
Even Kishimoto agrees in Databook 3, that Sakura is the one now who gives him strenght. (talking about part 2)
We're not finished yet about that, and we will probably see bigger things in the futur.
Don't forget Yamato's scene, he gives Sakura a lesson about what you can do for the one you want to protect, she still didn't understand his lesson about the feelings. She will probably against Obito...

Well actually he's is very fond of Sakura. It may not seem so, but he stated exactly that. WHY he is not using her so much is another question, and one he really can not make an excuse for.

They're actually in Romanian.

Well, it's only a second part. You have the previous and the next at he bottom.
If you have time to read it all...dunno, it's long.
However, after seeing recent events, I am more firmly convinced that I was right in my interpreting of the character.

After reading all those pages, my opinion of her changed somewhat. I thought that Sakura will give up on Sasuke meaning she won't care what happens to him, but you proved that she won't do this because of the way she is.
Still believe that she will grow up from her infatuation from Sasuke but I am really interested in how her character will change, because she can't stop not caring about Sasuke as a team member.
