Translation: Naruto and his sexual companions will go off on a journey to the ancient albino stronghold in the Village Hidden within Derkaderkastan to find the infamous Sponge of Sean Connery's Bodily Fluids. But they have to face off against Deadpool, Discord, Hazama, Vriska and a Sasuke who illegally changed his name to KENPACHI RAMASAMA and then sold his chopped-off STD-infested hand to the black market so that he could afford to go to Dydn Worl and buy a lifetime supply of toilet paper and goat urine. Can Naruto and his vastly inferior friends when it comes to kicking Komodo Dragons while seducing them simultaneously be able to save Princess Peach from the mega-milk gorilla accountants from the 99th dimension just in time for the Yeasty Hangover Senior Prom? Find out on the next exciting episode of DRAGON BALL Z!

Note: I'm just kidding, I don't know Japanese (though I do hope that most people could tell that the statement above was a joke). In all seriousness, this has intrigued me enough to want to know what's so special about this filler arc. I hope we get a real translation soon enough.

The only thing that has got me interested is the staff working on it. Apparently, they're going to have the top animation teams working on it.

With this, you can now rage.

The family that couldn't be.

Lol. I must admit, I really thought it was legit. At some point I figured out it was fake. Hey, staff can go crazy. Well, to answer your question, the fact the villains are Deidara, Hidan, and Kabuto. Strange combo but that only makes it interesting.

@Codus N: Really? I see. Well, as long they give me NS fanservice, I'm game.

I'm not a big fan of fillers. For me they're a necessary evil. Despite this, I always watch them because why the hell not? I don't know, maybe I'm just easily entertained or maybe I'm just such a huge Narutard that I absolutely have to experience everything even remotely related to this franchise not matter how bad it is. tongue.gif

With that being said, this filler arc seems very intriguing. Maybe I'm jumping the gun here, but so far it seems like they're really putting a lot of effort into it, which is a good thing. Don't want a repeat of the "Three Tails" arc now do we? I'm not saying that they didn't put a lot of effort into that arc, I'm sure they did. It's just that to me, the pacing felt really akward. This, combined with the fact that it was a filler arc, severely hindered my enjoyment.

Thank you, will do.

In all seriousness though, I don't know anything about running an animation studio and I also don't know how many projects Pierrot is currently running, but sometimes it seems like they really have their priorities backwards.

Why would I rage if the top animators are working on this project? Do they lean more towards naruhina?

No, I think it's more because of the fact that they are wasting top quality animation on fillers.

Give us skipped fights in the war? Nope. Give us some fights that should have happened in the war? Nope. Give us a filler arc that no one wants to see nor cares about? Hell yes!

What pisses me off even more if that they are using the top animators for it which means that when we get back to the war, expect horrible animation.

You know what is the saddest thing about this? For some reason beyond logic, the japanese audience seems to like watching these abominations we call filler. Perhaps if they hated it as much as we do, they wouldn't waste time on making such pointless story arcs.

Nothing new here.

Now I see why. Though when I first posted that question, I was thinking it had to do with the fact that they didn't use the best animation quality during the Invasion of Pain Arc. But I didn't factor in the fact that it's top quality animation going towards a filler arc. But still, thanks for pointing that out though, it was really helpful.

They skipped some fights? I'm surprised about that because I haven't watched the anime in a while. But if the studio wants to blow off their entire budget on this filler arc, it better be a good story with some interesting stuff and not just be a stupid waste of time with the plot of a crappy fanfic. And how would a filler arc featuring Deidara, Hidan and Kabuto warrant enough grandness that the studio would have their best animators on staff working on this as well as put up this promotional poster advertising such a thing as this? Whatever the reason, hopefully we'll get an explanation soon enough.

Yeah, someone posted that on one of the episode threads, I believe it was NaruSaku4Life3g.

But yeah, this really does look like a flashback arc, as evidenced, judging by Sakura and Sai's clothing and Deidara and Hidan still being alive without being ET's.

I don't know. It looks like a standalone arc. Much similar to Bleach fillers. They literally separate themselves from canon. I'm only saying it because Kabuto looks like he's 100% Orochimaru cell in the poster. That's why I think it could be interesting because they don't need to try to connect the next canon arc as they previously done.

I don't see Orochimaru's purple stuff that was around Kabuto's eyes. It could still be a standalone arc like you said, but I'm just pointing that little detail out now.

True. Perhaps the reason why Deidara and Hidan aren't ET'd has something to do with the story. That or it could just be an error. wink.gif

However as I recall, pretty much every filler arc in Naruto has been a stand alone arc with little to no connection to canon. Sure, we may get a cameo from a filler character here and there as well as some additional backstory like last weeks episode, but that's about it.

Or are you saying that this arc will be just like the movies, i.e. a side story with no connection to the main story at all?

I think this one really separate itself from the real story. So, it should be something "unique". I must say I can't believe that there's a lot of work into these. You would have expect some normal class animators. So, they must be proud on their own work. Hm, we'll see soon.

well since everyone is so sure the filler arc is going to contain narusaku moments how about some predictions?

---
I see a mysterious family on the left. There's a father, a mother, 2 girls, and 3 boys.

Tenzo, Sai, Naruto and Sakura are our heroic ninjas as it seems.

Our villains appear to be Sage Kabuto, Hidan and Deidara.

Naruto is without a doubt half in 4 tails mode, so he doesn't have control over Kurama at all.
---
I'm near certain about above, the rest will be speculation.

When I think about this it just screams Sora arc to me. I remember in that arc Naruto was severly injured by the Kyuubi's chakra and still then he protected Sakura. I doubt they would do the same thing again but it's not imposible. Another thing I was thinking was if they would take the time to develoup this filler family. I wouldn't be suprised if Naruto learns some lessons about family alongside Sakura (which would be obvious fanservice). As for Naruto in 4 tails mode he might go on a rampage again with Sakura being the one who rushes to save him. Again, it's already happened before but I wouldn't put it past them to do it again. Other then that Deidara is back and OMFG I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!!!! I can't wait to see him fight and interact with Hidan. That said Kabuto's face is giant in that picture which suggests that he's the ringleader of the villains.

Crazy theory, Naruto ends up being controlled in kyuubi mode. I just randomly thought of that when looking at him half on the good side and half on the bad side. That also makes me think that Kurama will be evil and cause a lot of trouble in this arc.

repost of my first reaction to this filler arc anouncement I wonder what it's actually about...
