The first episode was just awesome. I like how the guys thought that they could trick the girls, but then the girls totally turned the tables on them. Don't mess with strong Konoha women. I also liked the NarSaku and LeeTen hints, like how Sakura blushed when Naruto complimented her cooking or when Tenten defended her cooking by stating that Lee liked spicy food.

The second segment was okay. Just more Gai craziness. I liked the interviews though and how for some reason, some of them had their faces covered with black bars.

Sakura was never shown to be a terrible cook. The only thing we actually know she made were those super huge soldier pills and she said herself, she focused more on the important nutrients in the pill rather than make them taste good.

And even if she was a bad cook, I bet Naruto'd eat it anyway

And yes, the second part was OK. I loved Gai's hometown, with tons of Gais.

Hinata wouldn't really fit in, but she would be a fun contrast, maybe she would faint and the food would boil over.

cant remember. But maybe it was a filler. But, as long as i know, every shinobi can cook, it help for the mission. Just remember Ino from some filler which make her replaced a fat-princess. Ino must be able to do some things like cook, sing, dancing, or ikebana. Hfft, I dont know if its true.

It was back in Part One fillers. Hinata made Naruto some weird treat thing(It looked like Naruto's face which is creepy ) and Naruto tried it and said something along the lines of "Wow! You'd be some wife to someone, Hinata!"

Oh and when I saw the preview of the next episode, I died on the 'Hinata in a dark room with stalker photos of Naruto.'

Yeah, Studio Pierrot showing their Hinata fanboying, with the Sakura bad cook, Hinata good.

When if you look at their social status and training Sakura should be better. I doubt if Hinata has made anything besides tea- the Hyuuga clan, especially Hinata, as the heiress is pretty much written like the near nobility most elite samurai ladies lived, served by subordinate members of the clan- food preparation would have been far, far below her station. Tea would have been the only thing they would have known how to prepare. On the other hand Sakura in her real world, appears to come from a rather low status clan. She would have learned to cook at least on a basic level before she even left the Academy. Then you have her ability to basically memorize and readily apply anything she's ever read, plus her medical training, etc...

The Uchiha clan, although elite, were more like high ranked rural samurai clans that stayed traditionally battle ready at all times- even the men could cook on a basic level. Where the Hyuuga clan are depicted like the highest rank samurai near the emperor's castle, who basically lived like the nobles- rigid status structures within the family, etc....

Are the producers Team from Naruto Shippuden the same producers in Lee series, are they the same group? This is kind of odd that lately, the Manga made her delutional by basicaly saying that Naruto will be hers at the end of the war, the Anime 232 made Hinata an Naruto obssesive, the Movie is making Hinata a Yandere and in Rock Lee and His Ninja Pals, they are curently destroying her character, does anyone here has an idea of what is really going on with her character.

This made me think, what if in reality Kushina is actually a terrible cook but only Minato can eat her dishes without fainting?? I can definitely see the looks on everyone's faces thinking that on top of his (naturally) inhuman speed, he has an inhuman taste in cooking.

Of course, we'll have to see if this is true in the Road to Ninja movie .

Well, the guy who is doing the Rock Lee spin off manga was one of Kishimoto's assistants. I think the fact that Hinata has more frequently been the object of the humor in the manga and the anime adaption of the Rock Lee spinoff is a reflection of the annoyance Kishimoto let show at the rabid fan letters that worshiped Hinata and bashed Sakura, and Pierrot's Mary-suing of Hinata and undermining Sakura's positive plot moments since Naruto's wind element training. I'm sure that was a topic of discussion amongst Kishimoto and his assistants more than once- for Kishimoto to show his annoyance in public in front of fans and Studio Pierrot people meant it was really bugging him- at Jump Festa 2009.

Pierrot has attempted to insert Hinata worshipping moments into their adaption of the Rock Lee spin off, but there's been so many Hinata jokes in the manga, it just doesn't stick that well. Plus it's about Lee who has a silly crush on Sakura, so all Pierrot can do to insert a negative slant on Sakura is to overblow her tsundere side. I'm betting they toned that down to the manga level ,but still silly, this episode because they knew Kishimoto was in the building on a regular basis because he is directly involved in Road to Ninja. It's also likely the reason why Shippuden is finally doing a Sakura focused filler.

Joke or not, that scene was hilarious. Though if it really wasn't a joke, then it's even funnier.
